    When you're done you can use a pallet Jack to haul it around or pick it up with a forklift

    it turned out to be a great go-kart, but I would have converted it into a lawn mower!) this thought dawned on me as soon as he drove out onto the grass. thanks a lot for the new ideas!

    Nice build.
    I've tried making stuff from pallets. I found that under cyclic loads a lot less than this is going to see, the nails holding the pallet together work themselves loose.
    So you need to reinforce the pallet with screws.
    Also, you should add a foot brake. And probably a foot throttle too.

    Personally, I like the 'rat rod' look. I think it would look a lot better with holes drilled in the red lever and other metal and bars, rust and corrosion, and a little more 'patina' to it. But still, definitely a great idea! :)

    Now that's what I'm talking about . Type in easy cheap way and you wont find it as simple as this... great job.. Strange thing is for the past 3 days I've been looking up how to make a go cart cheap with minimal basic tools . And this just came up . Lol ...HELL YA

    It could use some ground clearance as well as suspension. But I'm thoroughly impressed overall. Are you going to keep it and continue to modify it or just leave it as it is?

    We used to make 2x6 x 5 ft wooden push carts,back in the 60s,your buddy pushed it with a broom handle! Great fun ,when he's pushing ,till it was your turn to push!

    I have a garage full of engine's seats steering wheels track wheels brakes metal angle iron ark welding equipment. The hard part is finding a bloody pallet 😃😃😃😃😃🏎️🏎️🏎️

      This pallet is crap. Best to find a hardwood pallet generally from Asia or south America used to ship fruit n machine parts.

    i like the idea of the pallet frame, but I would mount foot pedals for the throttle and brake and give it a little more ground clearance by mounting it on motorcycle wheels.

    I don't think this would pass a wka race inspection. Lol. Pretty good idea though. I have a lot of those left over parts from when my dad and I raced. Unfortunately he passed away back in 2017 and left me a bunch of inventory from when sold parts and methanol at our races.

    Надо было заднюю ось крепить на нижние доски, а то получается, что вес сзади висит на саморезах, которыми эти верхние наружные доски прикручены к поддону.
