4 Year Old Madalyn gets Surprised with a Black Lab Puppy (Rapunzel)

- Nicole and I got her the puppy (Rapunzel is her name which is Maddie's favorite Princess) just before her 4th birthday. We told her one night that we had a surprise waiting for her at home. The video was taken in May of 2011.

I mostly don't like kids and I think it is because of the way they are raised by their parents. But your little girl is very cute, very gentle with the puppy, polite and grateful to her parents. Congratulations you are raising a fine human being.

We would love an update. We got our 4 yr old daughter a black lab also. They were best friends for almost 14 hrs. We just adapted and 8yr old black lab that had to be re-homed. Love the labs.

Oh jeez, why did I watch this video, now I can't stop crying. This reminds me so much of when I was 5 and came from that cottage to see a yellow lab puppy in my kitchen. She was the best dog ever, and I was lucky enough to have her for nearly 15 years. I hope your family has the same, wonderful experience having a lab.

What an adorable, sweet and polite little girl, I love her! I love how she went straight to hugging the puppy and even went down on the floor, all of my nieces and nephews are too scared of puppies to do that ^^

Congrats, my wife and I lost ours (Jake), we had him 16 years, last October. We are about to get another black lab this winter, can't wait. Just remember when they do something to annoy you, there'll come a time when you'd give anything to have them back, doing those annoying things. Best of luck, sweet video of a beautiful family.
I stumbled across this and I would like to say I'm sorry for your loss and thank you. My golden is 11 now and my other dog is 2... I would do anything for these dogs in the long run and your comment reminded me that it was one shoe, just a pillow, or only a thing. My dogs are my most beloved possessions

I'll just sit here watching kids get puppies for surprises and birthdays, in hopes that what I'm getting for my upcoming birthday. My mom is worried she won't find a big enough box, and assumed my brother told me what I am getting but he just said "Are you kidding me? Not with something as big as this." And it's supposedly expensive. IDK, maybe I have too much hope :s
