Love your channel. You seem to be VERY organized. Your children seem to be very involved and that will help them as they get older. I would like to hear the story behind all of your license plates. They add a charm to your store. I've been watching for 3 months now and will continue. Thank you Dennis J Luffman
@@commonwealthflipper Lol 😂, I missed Dennis' sentence about the license plates and just saw the comment about your kids. So when I read your response that they were sent in by viewers I laughed saying to my husband "that Kevin sure has a good sense of humor"! 😂😂

THANKS for these tips. I made offers today after listening and made 3 sales directly as a result of offers only a few dollars off of listing price. That's a good day for me! Love your channel, love your openness. You inspire me to keep at it.
It's always less expensive to send offers or run a sale than it is to promote. If you look at the cost of promoting as a percentage of gross profit it's a bad bet......Thanks again for the discussion!
It was really cool to see my order picked and get a shout out! The 8-tracks have arrived but I haven't had a chance to use them yet. Hopefully, I will soon. Thanks, Kimberly.
How I jumpstart my store: I was once a very niche seller of high end watches. Those have become harder to source. Two years ago or so when all the shutdowns started, I began reselling everything. I still sell in my niche but now I try to save the absolute best for Q4. However, if my sales start to lag, I will list one of them at a fairly competitive price in order to get an influx of funds. It also seems to jumpstart the rest of my items.
Omg, that’s soooo weird! I’m comping out plush as I watch your channel. I just ran across a commonwealth plush (had never seen one before) then moments later you mentioned it! Now that’s nuts!!
Kevin you can get that sticker residue off with little to no trouble if it’s on the case or anything that will with stand alcohol rubs right off . I remove many pricing stickers like this . Takes 30 seconds it will also remove marker marks off some items . Just thought I’d throw that out there . You may know this but maybe some of your followers may not 😊that’s a free tip for today lol have a bless day .

Two types of alcohol, Medical grade and Solvent grade, 70% - 99%, low percentage alcohol will not damage items but higher alcohol content can remove paint or discolor. If removing sticker residue from plastic butter or margarine will remove the toughest sticker residue, again though it can damage some items, I only use it on plastic or metal, solid surfaces.
I am going to try these. Sales have been very slow for me as well to where I am selling one item a few days. I tried ending a few and relisted and trying to increase listings as well. Thank you for your knowledge and skills provided for the reseller. Love your channel!
Instead of re-listing do sell like similar it’s a lot cheaper if you have a store it takes from say the 200 buy it now that your allowed. When I first started the 2nd time around I kept doing the re-listing and they were charging me for each one; and it seemed like all the $$ I was making was going straight back to eBay so I called eBay and the real nice lady told me goes I see you re-list don’t do that instead do sell like similar. My 1st go around was when it was straight auction those are the days I miss the most. Just a heads up to help you save some of your hard earned $$$. Hope that helps you out from one reseller to another and Kevin and his family ROCK
A blast from the past......all of a sudden, it is 1969 again and I am sitting in the passenger seat of Dave's Camero, looking through the 8-tracks in the glove compartment. "What do you want to hear, Dave?" "Just pick one" "OK, here's a new one - let's play this Santana album".
We do all three of those things on a daily basis. Well somewhat lol. I send out offers every day. We are currently doing an extended 30% off sale capped with a 50% off sale for what we call our yearly purge. That will also end with a big everything's a dollar sale to flush out even more things that just didn't work out for us. And we are going nuts on listing right now because of the storage unit we bought.
Been using the multi-qty discount for a few months now, right as I create the new listing, for good candidate items. It seems to work well, especially when I can fit 2 in the same box/package, at or near the same shipping cost. For instance, a qty of two, 2 pound items in a USPS Padded FR envelope. Packing the pair together is just as fast, for extra profit.
I don’t know if I told you or not but I went to our local flea market on Sunday May 1st and found some awesome things and got some awesome prices. Then I found some more awesome things and got some awesome prices. I signed up to reserve a spot at the flea market. My sister-in-law is going in with me. Fingers crossed that we get a spot. On Monday I took her thrifting and showed her how to pick up items and what to look for. We are so excited.
Nebraska has a large Garage Sale called the Junk Jaunt. Lots of antiques and vendors. But if u hit all the small towns along the junk jaunt( its 500 miles so pick a cluster), they also have LOTS of garage sale type sales. Very fun to see all the cool stuff, and also be able to find good deals at the garage sale type sales.

The adage is: can't sell it if you don't list it. Same realm: if someone is interested, entice them more with a 5-10% or whatever amount off. My experience is that ~5, 10% tops throughout a month accept the "send offer".
Kevin have you done the National Road Sale (US 40)? Held annually the first Wednesday after Memorial Day though the following Sunday in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland. Couple of years ago my sister and I did half of Indiana. We filled the back of her SUV in 1 1/2 days. Do not know how the other states are yet but Indiana was terrific!
I usually cut my flaps on the diagonal. Two cuts on each flap to make a triangle. This way there is still a cardboard flap covering the item in the event a buyer gets a bit overzealous cutting the box open.
You can still accept sales while you are off, for the last 15 days of your 'time off'. That way, you won't loose money and if you extend your 5 day vacation for a day or two more, you will not have to rush to package and ship everything the day you get back.

I sometimes raise prices when I tweak listings. I promote everything at 2%. You only pay it if someone finds your item that way, and it may not have been searched with out the promotional??? I sell about 25% of my items on promotion. I can’t see how it hurts anything. I give offers on anything on watch. About 25% of the items sell with an offer. I accept almost all offers, within reason. Like 15 for a 20 item is reasonable, whereas 10 is not.

US 40 National Road Yard sale runs from Maryland to St. Louis and goes right through my hometown - Cambridge City, IN. We get quite a few sales on our part of the National Road and as a plus - there are 10 antique stores in our little town of 1700 people.

100 mile sale , always the first weekend in July , Route 360 From Amelia to keysville. Spiders off of that in several places so if you took 460 from Lynchburg you might his some of it in Prospect/ Farmville. Chula and just down from Chula at field days of the past will have multiple sellers. I have had better luck with that one than the Route 29 sales you mentioned. I usually try to sell one day and buy one day of the route 29 sales, I sell 2 days of the 360 100 mile, it is a great way to purge stale inventory or estate buy leftovers. New item listed at 3rd lowest (not counting any auctions or extremely low priced listings). Run that for a month. During which I run MANY sales of ~800+ listings; top 100 highest priced is 19% off, next 200 is 17%, next 300 is 15%, remainder are usually 13% unless listed price is $10 or lower in that case they go for 9% off. And I run them for 3 days usually. Relist /Sell Similar time, I then do math on what the item would be if I maintained a certain % off sale multiple times a month at 2nd or lowest priced (not including auctions or extreme low prices). I offer free shipping on 99.98%+ of my items as the absolute majority are First Class or Flat Rate envelope size. In short, first listing is fairly low priced and I run sales. If it does not sell within a month at that low price whilst being on sale, then I bump it up a bit and price according to having it on sale all the time. If it sits for months and months, I know it will be on sale many times. I prefer to have any sale. Moreover, to sell a new listing sooner whilst older items have a chance too, to me, is better than putting older stale items on sale and *hoping* they sell whilst *hoping* the newer listings sell soon. Current: 820 items up all BIN and on sale. 90 day total: 152 sales for $10,044. 19 shipping labels over $10 :D

How do you get liquid items like perfume through the post office? They always ask me ‘anything fragile, liquid, blah blah’ I can’t lie and say no.
It must ship ground only
What if it blows up and catch fire 🔥 in the air, by plane. If it was ground, at least they can extinguish 🧯 it.
Oh, I don't lie 🤥...about batteries, perfume, and other flammables. You heard of Murphy Law?
We bought your Elvis 8track lot for my 16 year old daughter
Not sure why, but even after years I'm still shocked every time I see a full head of hair instead of a cap. LOL

I desperately need a tubberware deviled egg lid. I will keep watching and keep watching what u pick up ☺️
Hi Laura! Are you talking about the deviled egg keeper that has the two trays? I just bought one, have the whole thing listed for $14 but would gladly pass it along to you. I didn't pay much for it, I'd send it to you just for covering the shipping. Any fan of Kevin's is a good "egg" in my book, happy to help out! Kevin if I send you my email in Instagram would you pass it along to Laura?
Why do you always wear a hat? Your hair looks AMAZING!!
I do all three of those things ALL THE TIME. I have as many items in my store as you. I don’t do nearly the amount of sales you do! It’s a mystery. Maybe I should stop doing those things and then do them when they’ve stacked up for a while like you.
Him having the youtube videos helps alot with his sales.
Thanks! You are a huge inspiration! I am going to make my first video soon!!
Wow. Cory I think you are the first to give a super thanks. Very cool. I appreciate it greatly.
You will never be bald. Beautiful head of hair. Thanks for the show. See you in the next one.
The no hat was throwing me off.
At first I thought you had a guest on... Not used to seeing you without a hat! Lmao
"End Listings", and then "Sell Similar" works great!
Hi Kevin I've been a long time viewer of Commonwealth picker channel and I recently subbed to your Commonwealth flipper channel so I've been going through your videos. Those are three great tips but I'm doing all of this already plus I am promoting what else would you suggest I could do to increase sales thank you.
Can't wait to see the haul from that amazing sale that you scored so big at! Loved watching that! Thanks for today's video too! Hey, can you share where it is that you buy your cardboard boxes? Thanks! (NON- USPS of course).
I’ve been curious too!
He should have a link below where he buys all his supplies from click on it and it will take you to the boxes. Hope that helps
Who is that hatless guy at the beginning and in the thumbnail? Oh Wait it's Kevin showing he isn't owned by Titleist. Hehehe. Sort of looks like a Matt Smith (British Actor - Doctor Who) Clone
Spinning 8 Track holder. Years ago I had some of those for cassettes they are wonderful.
Spoon River Drive in Illinois. 1st 2 weekends in October!!
Who is this guy with no hat? I’m watching this with my mom and she loved the perfume sale.
QUESTION…. When you ship using the cd envelopes, poly bags and padded envelopes, what dimension do you use for the height?
I would think 1"
I would love to have a list of those huge garage sales!! I don’t know of any near the Kansas City area! But, I’d love to know if there were!!
