This is a culture like no other in the NHL, maybe professional sports as a whole. As a Canes fan I can honestly say I'm glad we didn't have to play them in the SCF and hope we never do. I couldn't imagine having to root against this.

While not as theatrical as the Los Vegas playoff pre-game show, Montreal with their torch invoking their long history can be just as hype / emotional, but in a different way.

NHL needs a modern touch, it should be the second most supported sport after the NFL, instead NBA usually pulls ahead.
Playing to the teams names, history and the city they’re based at is awesome!
