- Rivalries are born in the NHL Playoffs and we are witnessing the blossoming of a new one! The Boston Bruins, after having one of the greatest regular seasons in NHL history last year were obviously Cup favourites. Until, they were flat out embarrassed by the Florida Panthers who knocked them out in the first round. A Panthers team that went on to the Cup final. So as we get the highly anticipated rematch between these two this year, you just know that bitter memory is baked into the minds of Brad Marchand and the Bruins. They want revenge. The Panthers are the top dogs this year though, so as they met head to head, we got absolute chaos! We got huge hits, 146 of them to be exact, Montour mocking Marchand by licking/sticking his tongue out, two superstars in Tkachuk and Pastrnak (after first getting permission of course) going at it, 148 penalty total minutes handed out and of course, a little pettiness. It was a fantastic game and I cover it all in todays NHL hockey video!

Good video, but noticed you said, "Bruins scored first, again.." and that the Panthers took their first lead of the series going up 2-1. But the Panthers scored the first goal in game 1, im pretty sure.

It's utterly amazing to me how hockey players can redirect a puck like that when it's traveling straight at them going over 80mph.
That was legit sick. The past 2-3 years players got so much better at redirecting pucks. A true beauty to see.

And if he wasn't a bum in game 1, along with everyone else on the Panthers, maybe they'd be up 2-0 instead of tied 1-1. Now the Panthers are going to Boston to get mopped and blown tf out.

the most badass thing he did was after being mercifully saved by the refs, trying to jump back in on his opponent who was now covered by said refs and trying throwing the punches he couldn't get in at the start of the fight. super badass.

This series is the epitome of how hockey should be played EVERY game during the season. Not just the playoffs. Views will skyrocket tenfold. Bring back big hits and scrums
Rivalries is what makes this game special, I remember when Detroit and Colorado were at each other. Late 90’s early 2000’s this was the series to watch.

Panthers season ticket holder. At games 1 and 2. Boston got down by 4-1, game over, and wanted to have something to take into Game 3 so they tried to beat up the Cats and that's understandable, that's hockey. But they got their asses kicked. Kudos to Pasta for having the onions to accept Chucky's challenge even though he got drilled. I hate the B's but respect them and i know that the Cats do too. Cats in 6 because they can play finesse or they can play like brawlers. Most versatile team in the league. Can't wait for game 3.

The Bruins need to win more faceoffs; it was already bad against the Leafs and it is not improving against the Panthers. They also need to be able to clear the puck out of their zone when they are pressured. They lost the series last year for that reason.
This is why the Leafs would never win the cup with their team. Do you think Marner has any ability to even comprehend this level of compete?

I still have the game Toronto played against Boston fresh in my mind and, man... The difference in playstyle from the Leafs and Panthers is big.
The Leafs can never, which sucks because I want to root for the leafs. There's still 2 more canadian teams to root for (1 after this round), and it's going to be tough for a canadian team to win the cup.
1+ series and this is already damn more of a rivalry than the Leafs could've ever mustered against the Bruins in a flippin' decade.

This is exactly how I wanted my Panthers to respond. They laid it down hard on the Bolts after their one loss to them, a complete unapologetic ass-kicking just like this one. And seeing the Bruins players’ tempers flare up was the icing on the cake. This series is gonna be intense!
