Yeah, I remember dying of laughter over this game as a kid, the funny lines and how easy it was to throw cars people and objects around and the gameplay was enough to keep me entertained

Road rage was the perfect driving sandbox of Springfield. Lots of Easter eggs, lots of depth to the many maps. I remember fondly doing stunt jumps and hide and seek with friends during head to head, roleplaying the town and characters, etc. Great game, great memories.
Playing hide and seek in Head to Head was the real reason I used to love this game. Forget the Crazy Taxi gamemode, what I used to do on my own in between multiplayer bouts was scope out new hiding spots in Sunday Drive. I only wish that Hit & Run had a multiplayer mode as well. The maps in that game would have been great for hide and seek.
the map was great, yeah. I remember one time in middle school I was sleeping over a friend's house and I drove around for like five minutes to show him the downtown building that said "LIVE NUDE GIRLS" or something like that. He was like "so... what's the big deal". This was also the friend who first introduced me to porn 🤣🤣

You’re overrating the game, it’s literally just crazy taxi, you’re being blinded by nostalgia.
Don't forget the cheat codes. Although it doesn't save your progress, you could drive Mr. Burns' limo or one of those nuclear buses.

I LOVED THIS GAME LOL. I would play when I was really young for hours and just drive around, occasionally pick up people but there's a bunch of little places such as the school and church that I remember being really fun to drive through.
I used to search for ways to glitch the game in Sunday Drive mode.

I knew I wasn't crazy!! I remember playing this when I was a kid but I could never remember anything about it other than picking people up and smashing through bits of glass. I was so young that I had no idea what to do, or, even what the game was about, I just remember breaking everything.
So glad my mind can be put to rest, I thought I was going crazy having played a game that never existed, never heard anyone else talk about it.
This game ruined friendships for me lol, this was the mario kart for me and my friends in the bronx

Never got to play Hit & Run, so this was the only Simpsons game I lived with, and I loved it for what it was ❤ However, I do have to say that the last time I played this game was when I was 9 and I only had about 10 games to play with when I was young so you know that I had to made the best out of what they were worth. I'd still love to play the game again, but I don't know if my parents already sold it or it's in an old box collecting dust. God, this game brings back so many memories

This was and still is actually my favorite simpsons game
Me and my friends played this a few years back. The game was a bit boring so what we did was made our own game in it. There was a pedestrian we kept seeing a load, we named her Sheela. We saw her so much that we made the game hit Sheela (In Sunday Drive). Every time we saw her we HAD to hit her. Sounds cruel but it was really quite fun.
Cruel? Shes a video game character.

It's a matter of taste, but I prefer _Hit & Run_ as it is a more narrative and diverse game.
For some reason, I was always under the impression that this WAS Hit and Run but for the PlayStation and Xbox. Huh, TIL.
If someone curses me out, so help me God I will go in my grave. Simpson's Road Rage is actually good both PS2 and Game Boy Advance. I dont mind the graphics and gameplay as long as I have fun. I admit though that Simpson's: Hit and Run is better than Road Rage. That was one of my favorite games from childhood.

I still play Road Rage, Hit & Run and Crazy Taxi on my PS2 pretty often. As a single player, I find both Hit & Run and Crazy Taxi to be more fun than Road Rage. But Road Rage has something the others do not: a fun two-player option. Playing head-to-head and trying to steal the passenger from each other as you near the destination makes for some hilariously tense banter.

it was a great game as a child, but then again everything is when you aren't bitter and pure. As we get older ofcoarse we see things in a different light, i dont think it was half bad tho for its time.
The game was genuinely fun in Sunday drive mode. It was the first game I ever played with destructible objects and reasonably good physics for said objects. Of course now GTA does that even better.
It didn't have as much effort as Hit & Run, but this was still fun in spurts.
Dude when my brother got this game we both thought our game was broken because of that loading screen, we legitimately waited for ages on it and nothing happened. Finally our parents just returned it and we got the GBA game instead.
My sis’ and I used to play this game during our formative years; always had a blast with her.

What I loved about this as a kid was how the stuff you destroyed would stay destroyed lol (unlike in Hit & Run). So I barely played the Road Rage mode or the missions (although I did eventually beat the game). Instead, I just played Sunday Drive and drove around the map until every lamppost, mailbox, and fire hydrant was completely obliterated

The Crazy Taxi game loop is only realistic on its most base level - pick up passenger, drop off passenger, get money (+ time). However the driving is the opposite of a simulation game (it’s awesome). If you haven’t played Crazy Taxi, I recommend it highly

I never did get to play Simpsons: Hit and Run.
I played this one. I barely even played the actual "road rage" mode, though.
I also played a whole lot of ATV: Offroad Fury 2. Lots of fond memories of getting launched at 900 MpH by going too far out of the map, and the train.
Me and my little brother had crazy fun with that stuff.

The 2 player version is pretty fun. My brother and I grew up playing it.
As an arcade game, it would work. Its entirely based on Crazy Taxi, which was an arcade game in the 90's. Even then the game was still good on Dreamcast because it had enough deep mechanics to learn and master, and had way more missions than Road Rage had.
Used to play this game in a youth club back in the day. 8 people crowded round a old TV sharing a controller. Take me back!

I always like Road Rage a lot more than Hit and Run, not only because I bought it first but also because I was a huge fan of the Crazy Taxi arcade game and the Simpsons. I spent SO MANY hours grinding in that game and thinking back it was probably the game that gave me my love of and fortitude for grinding in games.
when I was a kid I played a lot of this game, and Hit and Run. I've played a lot of this game, especially the vs mode with my dad. It's the best mode in the game, we could play hours without tiring.

I had a lot of fun with this when I was 6. I tried picking it up again as a teenager and got bored after the 10 minutes of nostalgia wore off.
The only saving grace is that many of the hilarious voice clips are in Hit and Run
Completing all of the missions also unlocks a new car for the regular mode. The car built for Homer. I remember how hard each mission was and the last one you could only beat with first person because of the awful camera angle.
I'm not gonna lie, I prefer this over Hit and Run.

I will say, the best part of this game was when you were racing to drop off your passenger, and chaos was blowing up all around you.
Fun fact about this game: the GameCube and Xbox versions have an additional cutscene that the PS2 version doesn't

I always played hit and run, I never really played road rage, but when I was younger and I was at my brother's friend's house, I deleted all of his 100% saves on the game
In one of the areas there was a great trick to drive forwards and backwards down an alley to make a ton of money.
This one isnt all that bad, its more fun with a friend because you can crash into them and have fun with that.

Had the gamecube version of this has a teenager. The loading times were pretty acceptable on gamecube IIRC and I had a decent amount of fun with it. I know at the very least I unlocked all of the levels and I'm pretty sure all of the characters.
I played this a while before hit and run as a kid, so there's a soft spot in my heart for this game but hit and run easily takes the cake

I have memories of The Simpson’s Hit and Run, and I’m only ten. My grandma has an Xbox, it’s broken now, but I have memories for playing the Simpson’s Hit and Run and using the cheat codes.
I legitimately still enjoy this game a decade later...and I still can’t beat mission 3.

In all honesty, this seems almost like a prototype for the Simpsons hit and run and it wouldn't surprise me if the missions here inspired some of the missions in hit and run

I never played Road Rage when I was younger. I think the only Simpsons games I had were Hit and Run for the Gamecube and the often forgotten PC game Virtual Springfield. Anyway, I finally got a PS2 and a copy of Road Rage today from a charity shop. While the game isn't anywhere near as good as Hit and Run (which is an absolute classic) it is a very good game. I'm really enjoying playing it, probably because I've always liked Crazy Taxi and combining that with the Simpsons is just icing on the cake. I can see why it's not for everyone but I'm having an absolute blast with it.
I had this for PS2 and the only thing i ever did was sunday drive. i dont remember ever trying a different mode. i would just hop on sunday drive and try to have the most fun exploring springfield and doing the dumbest stuff. i really miss playing this game tbh.

What i wanted to say was, I used to play tag on multiplay game mode, so one of us would get the passanger, who was it and we try to tag the other car, by getting the passenger into the chasee
this just unlocked a memory i didn't know i had. i guess i just kinda lumped this game and simpsons hit and run together in my mind when i was a kid.
Currently I own these Simpsons games: Road Rage the GBA port, those Mode 7 graphics are awesome. Bart Simpsons Escape From Camp Deadly, Simpsons The Living Treehouse Of Horror. Used to own a copy of Hit and Run.

Simple arcade style games are sometimes the best! I for one actually like this game and can still have fun trying to beat my high score.
Road Rage and Hit & Run were a big part of my childhood. playing them both on dolphin emulator brings me so much nostalgia!

I like the free Rome gamemode where there’s no time limit and you can just explore
