I love this machine! Love the color combo ,only addition I'd make is a mid height adjustable windshield otherwise love it the way you have it! I look forward to many other videos from you

Thanks man love it too. Im with you the windshield is too short. But i resent paying more for another one lol. Maybe next season. I didnt ride a whole lot this year what i did was a blast. I had hoped to hang my hat on going to northern Ontario as a given and that didnt happen. But that means i also didnt abuse my machines in mud and sand and dirt lol.

@greatlakespowerstrokefx4 I didn't ride much either. My wife n I typically ride Easter weekend here in Eastern Canada but so much rain in the month of March this yr:( So so depressing. I'm like you,not a fan of riding in dirt and sand.Hopefully someday I'll be in a position to afford the exact machine as yours. One of the nicest looking sleds on snow imo

That box comes standard on Expedition SE, all mounted and set. Many linq items are made for the wide tunnel like this box.
You're using smaller tunnel linq items you own from your other sleds and you're in for some reverse engineering to make use of them.

    • @greatlakespowerstrokefx4
      @greatlakespowerstrokefx4  7 місяців тому

The thing is people commonly own these items and more over that linq plate was designed to use them. But the box itself appears to be a stand alone item. I dont think the owners of an expedition want a one trick pony but i could be wrong. Maybe there are users who only use the box snd nothing more

I'm working on the exact same issue with the cargo box. Really interested in seeing your solution!

Ill get it as quick as i can im sorry its going to be a delay. Im going to call around tomorrow and see if i can buy 3/4 inch local. If not i already have 3/4 inch 3x24 inch piece ordered.
I think its very unfortunate skidoo didnt take care of this already. I know they use focus groups and brand sponsors for product development and thats great but some things slip though the cracks. I hope they do tune into youtube channels to see what problems people are having

I couldn't agree with you more. The first thing I said was, "I can't believe no one at Skidoo noticed that all they had to do was mold the bottom of the box slightly different".
I have a 2023 Exp Extreme with about 1200 miles on it. Love the sled, but I am now working on dialing in the handling to try and better keep pace with the Renegades and MXZs my buddies are riding.. I'm going to try some Simmons Gen 3 skis on it and make some spring preload adjustments. I'd also be very interested in a video of any suspension adjustments you've made. There is nothing out there on how to baseline an Exp, then dial in handling from baseline.

@@JimJr15 considering im a bigger guy my default is stiffen it up. Mine has ras x in terms of its front geometry. Do you know what yours has? I know the previous had ras. The x i guess helped some of the understeer and tipping when turning. Im very pleased with how mine handles. Im sure my renegade 850 is faster on tight trails but im pretty sure the expedition holds its own mid and faster corners and it flat flys over bumps. I need to get with some faster riders to be sure or just the same guy on a modern sled. He had a 99 skidoo 500 formula on my first ride with it.
We have had a really rough season in terms of snow fall. I hope it picks back up in February.

According to my owners manual, the 2023 is also RAS X. Mine suffered from understeer but I just noticed my front track shock is full stiff. We usually ride 5 hrs north in Northern Maine and I usually leave my sled up there, so after a year and 1200 miles I finally took her home to wrench on her and am trying to figure out what baseline setup is.
I'm also a big guy, 6'4" and 330 lbs,. That's one of the reasons I bought the Expedition, because it's like a Renegade scaled up 10% for big dudes. I finally have a sled that feels like it fits me.
My buddies ride pretty fast. A lot of railroad beds and wide trails. I can keep up the way she is, but it's a lot of work and I'm trying to reduce the effort of hustling this big rig around the trails.
BTW, we call mine the Cadillac Blackwing!

You're right, Joe 8557. That is not for that machijean. He should know that, however, he just started snowmobile. Being last year and there's no doubt with this machine. He is well over his head. I've been snowbilling since 1976, so ha ha. I've got a little experience.

@@upnorthkenny9674 you should have those square ish holes going down that link adaptor plate. Im going to have to revisit myself because believe it or not, its been almost a year and i forgot. But they were specific link mounts for the expedition if i rememeber right im going to dig into it right now
