I love the farm door in the house ! So cute .. I’ve been doing the running / strength program since it came out via app and I just got done with the honor half marathon today I’m retired army medic (43) female .. I Pr my half marathon by 20 min my half pace in the past 4 years .. I’m excited to get stronger and faster .. I averaged a 10:30 pace but I use to run in the 8 min range years ago and had 2 kids and then hip problems and kinda just accepted running in the 12 min range until your programming and I started getting stronger and less winded again .... i love it ! Just throwing a shout out about the programming !

The box and foam roller quad exercise is 100% going in the rotation for my home gym!!

Me too!!! Been doing a leg extension with a band around the kitchen table-problem is is that the floor is tiled & the kitchen table slides😂😂😂 got a box, foam roller & kettle bells!!! Problem fixed!! Genius!!!

This episode Gave me a few things to think about
1. There’s really so much options out there and that you dont need to waste money on high end expensive machines
2. Quad/ posterior dominant 🤔 which one to better develop
3. Ibex app is probably really worth signing up for
Thanks going to have to try the sissy squat set-up. Would you be able to wrap the band around the legs of the bench? Just a thought if someone doesn’t have DBs. May have to double loop it if the band is too long.

Not sure if I’m doing something wrong but I feel like I’m just kneeling down and getting back up again, kind of what it feels like for Patrick. But I do love the assisted sissy! I was really thinking about getting a knee extension machine, but this really solves that for me! 🤜🤛

Your hip is breaking on the way up. Keep your hips open (lean back in this case) and you'll feel it a lot more in your quads. And knees if you have knee issues so don't get carried away. Also, work on keeping a tempo through the lower and rise. Toe mobility can also become a limiting factor. I think the major thing you get with the fully bodyweight sissy squat, over the isolated strength movements, is all of the coordination, body control, proprioception, etc. Either way, what you guys demo here will be good for people and allows people of all walks of life to get 90% of the benefits. Good stuff as usual. I'm throwing those banded heel elevated squats in as a burnout on my lower body strength days.
I know your version is called a sissy squat, at least that is the version I am familiar with,,but it really mimics the leg extension.so closer to being a standing leg extension.

right lol.. but we are in a gym with free weighs, and no quad extension machine.. hits the premise for the video 😁✌️
