You should definitely collab with Magnus Midtbo, he's a retired pro climber from Norway (like Shauna Coxsey, but more for lead), he's done a few gymnastics videos with Norwegian gymnasts Odin Kalvo and Frederick something, but he's naturally athletic and good at pretty much everything, you two have a lot in common in that sense, he's also naturally quite flexible. It would be super fun to see

I feel like I’m naturally flexible on my left leg. I haven’t danced in like 6-7 years. I stretch like twice a year now. And I still have a pretty good split and a little over split. I also started dance late as a teen and I got flexible and got some skills super quick. It’s fun to see people react to me randomly dropping into a split lol

I can go months without stretching properly or doing the splits and drop right back into them like it’s nothing. I wonder why some people lose it easier than others. I promise I’m not being braggy (that would be silly anyways lol), but I just honestly thought it was normal to not really lose the splits if you grew up having them.
I' d love to have double measure on the middle over over over splits: one from each pubic apophysis. I' m sure they are not exactly the same, there' s always one side more dislocated (the dominant one, probably) or sometimes they need to be readjusted by the physiotherapist because "the rebel one" is protruding too much. 🧛🏻♀️🖤
fun fact I tested 3x as having less flexibility than a corpse in full rigor mortis & now I'm trying to learn a standing straddle press to handstand oh yeah and a planche (for to do pushups)

I stopped doing Cheer and gymnastics when I was 17 , I’m now 21 and haven’t done any type of stretching or flexibility things in years yet I can get up right now and do a middle spilt all the way down touching the floor . Same with my right spilt though that would hurt I could do it . But with the middle spilt it’s not even a struggle. (Btw I am a female) Am I just double jointed or is the normal? Just curious
We exist, we exist. It' s normal. Uncommon but normal 😅 if it makes sense. I am the same at 48. I' ve lost a lot of flexi, of course, but middle split? (we call it _à la seconde_ ) It has always been there naturally since I was born and I suspect that will be there till the day I die. It' s all about genetics. Actually, it' s pretty obvious just by looking at my "oppened-outwards turned" iliac crests. From my experience, don' t abuse just because for us is easy, doesn' t require warm up and it feels harmless or you' ll pay expensive bills in the future aka pelvic floor apocalypse. Hyperlaxitude can cause problems in silence and you only realize once the disaster has no return and the pain appears suddenly. We are called a "natural lateral". (Voice over from the future) Taaaaake caaaaare!!! 🧛🏻♀️🖤 Edit: I' m a female also and my background is ballet (active as a pro until 36) and RG from 7 to 21 because rotating my legs was not enough, why not to destroy my spine also?🤦🏻♀️
You guys should try this, get someone to go on their stomach on the floor and ask that person to close their eyes and someone lifts both arms up from behind and hold it for 30 seconds or a little more and then with their eyes closed the whole time you slowly lower their arms and it should feel like the arms are going through the floor…it’s really a neat sensation….
I want to send this to dr. Mike so bad so he can react to itis because he will go crazy of what they’re doing and be like that’simpossible but he will like say like overstretching blah blah blah and other things like that
