Thanks so much for creating and sharing this helpful and informative review of our Nightfox Prowl set up with your viewers. We are looking into what we can do with additional mounting options, though this may have to be for a future iteration of the Prowl, though the one you have currently is such a good set up I would recommend anyone to follow your lead. Also a "Happy Halloween" from our Nightfox team to little Sally, such a good costume and co-host! If your viewers have any questions about the Prowl or suggestions for what they want to see in future Nightfox devices, we are happy to hear from them!
Thank you for stopping by and leaving this comment, I really appreciate it when companies get involved in the comments section and engage the viewers. I think they do too!
@@Valorius You're most welcome! We're a curious and talkative bunch at Nightfox HQ, so we like to see what people create with our products and engaging with commentors online really helps us to improve our range with their creative suggestions and feedback.
The performance compared to some of the other digital stuff I've reviewed is not tremendous however it does have a 940n-meter illuminator and it is incredibly versatile. Definitely worth the $200
I actually bring the unit up really close to the camera and show how to do it somewhere about halfway through the video. Thank you very much for watching
If you use it as a handheld monocle or a clip-on helmet unit it has built-in 940 nanometer and 850 nanometer illuminators and you do not need an external illuminator. However, if you manage to your rifle, you will need a Forward mounted IR illumintor, because the prowl unit is behind your Red Dot if you use the Illuminator on the prowl it will wash out your Red Dot screen. As a matter of reference 850 nanometers is visible to the naked eye 940 nanometers is much less visible and is what you would want for any kind of a tactical usage also the prowl is not shocked rated so you only want to use this on a 22 long rifle. Nightfoxx sells a pretty decent 940 nanometer Illuminator for about 50 bucks.

I would really love to see a shock rated ipx6 version of this prowl.

That was pretty cool and hard to beat for the price
Really good review, this performed really well at night in the woods on your rifle. I was pretty shocked.
Thanks, and yeah it really is a very versatile unit for the price.
Great video
Hello to little Sally!
Too cute!!
Thank you. Great video.
your welcome brother.
Damn man that bayonet!! 🇺🇸🇺🇲❤🫡
I know :D
Jack of all trades, for sure.
I didn't know picatinny tripod mounts were made, very helpful!
You need an arca adapter but most tripods will work with a picatinny rail.
Good price… might need to put this on my Christmas wish list
For $200 especially if you don't have analog night vision it is definitely worth it
Great demonstration I had no idea you could use this as a weapon mounted site
Thanks very much for the compliment, that's one of the things that I really wanted to Showcase in this video
great bang for the buck enjoy the night Freedom
You too mel!
For $199, wow man
Definitely a great price.
Good review
Thanks much Jay!
Nice !
I know that you have one of these so I figured you would be particularly interested in the shooting portions of this video 👍
@ o yah I’ve shot with it on the helmet a few times, it definitively does what it is supposed to do
@@RedDawnReadiness For $200, hell of a high value for "the poors"
Like I said in the live chat, that rifle is *almost* as cool looking as an M41A pulse rifle, lol
Lol.
Great review! Looks like it performed well. Once again I am amazed at how affordable great night vision devices have become.

Wow
Great review brother!
Thanks brother!!!
Hey bro somebody ate your finger😂😂
Damn crocodiles!
Good vid! How did you get the Prowl and your red dot sight lined up so well? Are one of the mounts adjustable in height or was it just luck?

Is the illuminator required to be used in order to see anything, or does it also work as passive?
