UPDATE: It’s day 3 and my hair still looks great lol. The Pattern beauty side has a smidge more frizz, but nothing to complain about. I’m calling this one a draw, I like boffum!
I do have to figure out how to use Patterns, I need hair products that work. So far Pattern’s leaves my hair dry. So I will stop using the wash day products because the contain silicones which do dry hair!
I'm also an introvert and I'm glad I ran across your channel. I was researching the melanin twist out cream and that's how I found your channel. I had to subscribe and support a fellow introvert! I can't wait to see what your channel has in store.❤ And I think I will be trying the melanin cream because of the amount you get for the price and I like the ingredients used in the melanin cream too. Great comparison and each side looks amazing! Both sides look identical. I guess it will come down to how long the hold and moisture last on each side.

This is a great side by side review!!! You have like products against like products. Perfect! Love this content! I agree pattern is for light weight looks! I actually find that my hair has slip with the pattern products...even the leave in. You know I always do chunky braidouts but this turned out great! I need to try this one day...smaller braids. Cute cute!😍 that’s cool, yeah you and cuz should! I’m here for it! I’m here for getting to know you as a person as well. Always! Same, I’m more introverted, I’ve learned not to be but not my natural vibe if you know what I mean. Also I don’t separate either if I want a week long style that’s bomb!

Pattern does have a heavy styling creme,and light weight products
I’m pretty sure this is the only styling creme that Pattern offers…it worked okay on my hair 💛

I’m so sorry I didn’t show the final look, but my hair would’ve been a frizz ball in the back if I would’ve separated it. Not sure if you watched my video on Pattern’s stylers but my hair turned out the exact same way on both sides.

I am soooo sorry! They actually turned out pretty much the same 😕. The melanin side BARELY won, it just had a little more hold in the long run.

Actually my mind is made up and I went for the entire signature line of melanin Haircare and if I like the products and I’m able to make them work, then I’m in it with them for the foreseeable future! I’m still very curious about pattern beauty and to be honest I got hyped up but I had different expectations of what the brand would be about when it finally launched. It’s obvious that it has different manufacturing scales and practices and MHC has values I appreciate and it came down to that. I appreciate the choice of ingredients but also the fact that it’s a small family owned business means a lot. Coming from a small business owner, I want to support two black women that have been invested in their community’s self care. I like that. That being said, I ordered my products last Friday and they still haven’t shipped. It’s been a waiting game and I’m binge watching videos related to MHC as well as other brands that quite didn’t make the cut in my final decision making. I’ve been looking to marry, hair care wise. I’m a very loyal customer and I like to go for just one line and not guess. I like commitment but it gotta be right and it got to cater to all my needs because I’m high maintenance and needy and unwilling to change lol

I’m happy for pattern beauty that the brand is picking up. I remember initially, most video reviews were not very positive about pattern
