- With the upcoming retheme, this could be my last ever ride though on Splash Mountain…I can’t believe this amazing ride will be defunct soon, but I’m going to enjoy it as much as possible before it’s gone! Have a Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Day!

I went on the last day it was open and it was one of the saddest days of my life knowing that when I get off Splash Mountain for the last time that I’ll never see it again😢

Honestly this is quite depressing on what Disney is doing to this characters trying to erase them…this the last thing I ever expected to happen but I’m not giving up ever, a lot can change in 2 years. #SaveSplashMountain

When I go later this month I’ll definitely make sure to ride Splash Mountain a lot.
You know it makes me sad that I don’t know if I may get the chance to ride this again I haven’t been to WDW in 7 years and I may never get to ride splash mountain again with my siblings and the rest of my family, though I’m still fighting. 😭😭😭😭

i’m brazilian, but i’m fluent in english. splash was always my favorite ride as a kid and seeing what they are doing to it makes me hate the princesses and the frog even more than i did before. hope i can put my hands on one of those geese animatronics, though.
I’m going in September this year, hope splash mountain is still there then!

Do they still play Zip a Dee doo Dah and Everybody’s got a laughin’ place at the entrance? And is the “Laughin’ Splashin’ satisfactual fun poster still there?
The classic songs do play at the entrance, but idk about the poster.

It’s stupid they should not change it to that stupid princess and the frog when I went back in 2011 this was my favorite ride, splash mountain is a classic, it should remain splash mountain, and should not I Repeat NOT be changed to princess the frog, but at least I got to ride it again back in April with my high school music department trip in 2023
I got to ride it the first time in October. It was my first time in WDW, so I only rode it once cuz I wanted to ride as much as I could while I was there. It was my favorite ride, and I didn’t realize that it would be my first and most likely last time ever getting to ride it.
I’ve signed the petition, and I’m sure many here in the comments have as well. I do not want to see this ride go, as this is the reason I was able to get educated on the ride and watch SOTS the first time on the internet archive and form an opinion for myself. Disney is making a HUGE mistake taking this ride away, and they will see for themselves once they’ve fully gone through with the retheme. We still have 2 years till PATF is open, hopefully that’s enough time to change their minds (though I doubt it).

I really like splash mountain. I am happy that the ride isn’t really changing but I am upset to see the theme change. I honestly just want them to keep the name. The fact that they are changing the name means that they are getting rid of one of the three mountains at magic kingdom. Plus how are they going to add Princess and the frog to Frontierland. Princess and the frog does not fit in Frontierland.
To be perfectly honest. I don’t care about the name. I mean, Splash Mountain the name is great, whatever. It’s the ride and story that the ride tells that makes it so great. If the Tiana ride has the name “Splash Mountain,” that doesn’t change the fact that the story is gone. The story is amazing and that’s what keeping me coming back to the ride. That’s what I’m gonna miss, not the name. Disney’s making a big mistake.
@@TheSplashMountainChannel I totally agree! I have always loved the story of the brer characters. I just got kind of annoyed on the fact that they would get rid of one of the three mountains. I think that getting rid of the theme is a big mistake. If the ride does end up closing, I hope Disney eventually realizes that they made a mistake.

As much as this depresses me right now, I’m not giving up and the fight isn’t over yet! This ride really can’t go 😭 Such a horrible decision Disney is making!! I already know that the Princess and the Frog retheme is going to suck because it will just be singing and being all happy because we are invited to go somewhere, instead of a funny, entertaining adventure where a character is being chased by two other characters and he’s trying to get back home because he misses it. I can already predict on how I’m going to feel. Probably after riding the rethemed ride, I won’t ride it ever again. I don’t care if I stay outside all by myself while the rest of my family goes, I don’t want to ride this horrible retheme!

Sorry I meant to say 2022, but think of how this could impact Frontierland, I think a Princess and the Frog theme is too “Soft” for a fifty foot drop thrill ride like this one, yes song of the south may be a little bit racist, but when I rode it back in October of 2011, I was only in second grade I did not know any better! I mean like I said think of how this could impact the entire Frontierland section of the park, what would happen to my favorite arrow dynamics mine train roller coaster Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!? Would they retheme that as well? I mean it’s idiotic that they would even consider changing this classic since 1992? They would probably retheme the whole Frontierland area and change it to New Orleans Square Land, I am not trying to sound negative here but it’s stupid that they would want to take out a fan favorite classic, Mr. Toads Wild Ride I can understand that being removed slightly because of the hell scene not be attractive to little kids, but I was not born in 1998 I was born in 2003, and you know I have actually ridden splash mountain Twice lucky Enough to be in the front row two times on both rides. Disney theme parks you just cannot do this to Disneyland 1989 Critter Country and Disney World 1992 Frontierland, I don’t know what you have in mind for Tokyo Disneyland 1992 Critter Country, you should just not remove these two flumes or retheme them period! Besides we are still in COVID-19 times right now, and think so you really have the money to retheme them? Maybe if you decide to keep splash mountain the way it is fix it up a little with the water jets and anamatronics they are 1989 and 1992 so they are not that old, but still give it a little work if you decide to keep it, they should have money for that at least. Sorry about the long comment but I just love this ride even though I have only ridden it twice, it’s just one of my favorites! And I am just giving a speech trying to make a point in saving it!
