Sylvia got it right, "Lodi" is reverse-spelled "Idol". Pinoy slangs includes reverse-spelled or reverse-syllabol words like erpat (Father), lonta (pantalon or long pants), werpa (power), and others.

I love how Jessica divulged about "sanaol" like it made me realize that we use it like sort of positive jealousy in a way. Cos usually jealousy is just wanting something for ourselves, but "sanaol" makes you want to have as many people as possible to have that something. Skl hehe

You know how both Korea and Philippines have this word but like in Philippines its "weh?" like when you heard something unbelievable.

You can use "weh?" ("really?") when you sincerely want to confirm something is true
or you could use it sarcastically, like "are you sure about that."

"Awit": 1st syllable "Aw" comes frm the word "Ouch" means a painful expression from any english speaker then combined with the next syllable "Kit" which derived frm the filipino word "sakit" means pain, omitting the first syll "sa" to use the last syll "kit". Actually this is a "konyo" word where they are confortable to combine english and filipino words. Btw "sakit" (pain) is also the same in Malaysia and Indonesia. Share ko lan po 😊

Actually between 70's and 80'sthere was a slang that came out,actually it was in a movie that goes "shiver to the bones" thats where" kilig to the bones" phrase came out and i thik in korea too they used tgat slang before i use to here it in the clubs specially the 아가씨s👩 in the club if you know what i mean and i guess it even came out in one of the best korean comedy soap thst time the 사랑이 뭐길래 i just forgot how it was really said but i remember there was so killig is basically the word shiver for instance you're boyfriend out of the blue he sang ang very beautiful song for you in the middle of a crowded place and you were touchly inlove that you shivered thats the actual feeling of kilig or shiver it is like you ate very fatty pig's meat and you shivered because of the oil "grabe!!" is also like a korean slang 와아아 노무하다 or 노무했다
We commonly use po and opo on elderlies as a sign of respect. As time progresses, we use it also to people in position like your on in an office. You sa po to them even if they are younger than you to show respect

The word "kilig" was added to the Oxford English Dictionary in March 2016.
"Oo" is also formal but "Opo" is respectful. You cannot answer "oo" to the elders. It's disrespectful.

JOWA is originally a Filipino gay slang for "Asawa" (spouse), which evolved in meaning and now became a common Filipino slang for any romantic partner.

The word "lodi" came from the old mannerism of Filipinos at 1980's to reverse words but more on syllables, for example "Inka"(kaen) , "Goli"(ligo) "Bigtu"(tubig) and the most famous one "Kosing Gawlu"
(Singko lugaw)
which means: "5 peso porridge"
And the trend at that time is slowly coming back these days.

Actually, that reversing of the letters or syllabes came out and was strongest in the 70s. You'll notice that those inverted words are more prevalent with those in their middle ages because they've actually used them a lot in their childhood. An example would Manila mayor Isko who is very natural in using it. i'm pretty sure he can string up sentences just using reversed words.
In bisaya we call it ilab ilab from the term bali bali which means inverting in English. This trend is also applied on english words such as relax is called xaler and laysho from the word social/sosyal.
My favorite one is "Dehins" which means "Hindi" narinig ko lang sya kay asiong salonga. Dehins ako pupunta lods HAHAHAHAHA.

When someone is really interested in other country or culture its fun to learn things.
And for me its kinda hard to learn Korean phrasing because of formality "Jondaemal(?)" and using specific term. But i can slowly read and learn to write some phrases which I got from watching smth like this and other show. Idk if there's vid u upload that might to easily/techniques to learn Hangul

Add the word “peg” to your list of slang words.
Peg means taking an inspiration from an ideal person or thing.
(e.g. “Ito ang peg ko.”) in korean context this is similar to “이게 내 스타일이야” (This is my style)
Take note though, peg is often used in gay lingo so only lgbt & females mostly use it, straight guys would prefer saying “Ito ang trip ko.”
it sounds like a woman's body part so I guess that's why most straight guys would avoid saying it most of them can't control making fun of things that sounds green they'd probably say peg consecutively hahaha

Yeah it's necessary to use "Po", I speak bisaya and bisaya don't use "Po" to be formal, so I don't use po until someone said I must use it because I sound so rude when talking to them (in tagalog). Well it's a lesson learn for me tho😅

Fun fact: The tagalog slang word "Shota" was the classic word for "Jowa". So "jowa" is the latest version. Ang bilis ng pickup ni Sylvia sa "Lodi"!😁. They replaced the word "all" from the slang "sana all" with the word "oil" to make it more "kwela"(funnier).

I enjoyed it , as a filipino I always heared or read the word "AWIT" and I didn't know the exact meaning of it even if I encounter this word so many times... and now I learned from you guys that the word awit is from the word , awww... sakit... HAHAHAHAHA..

I likeeee this video! ❤ I would also want to add, with "Share Ko Lang" it can be abbreviated with "SKL", most used for text/chat slang. And, another slang that is quite relate is "Share Mo Lang" or "SML" which means the other way around. If someone is telling you a story, you can say "share mo lang?" afterwards. It can be used in a sarcastic way or in a joking/humorous/teasing way. 😅
