Well it is very hard to focus until you've cleared the clouds of thoughts.
there a practice for this :
try to find a calm place. If you can, then sit in a relaxed position.
Step 1: Close your eyes.
Step 2: Watch your thoughts passing by. Don't try to stop or entertain thoughts; let them pass (this will require some practice). Also, try to be aware of thought process throughout the day; be watchful toward the automatic thought chain.
Step 3: The moments of gaps between thoughts will come naturally. Now you will be able to watch and command your thoughts (focus is a by-product of awareness)
Step 4: Your awareness will guide you now.

Meditation is like singing a classical song, You need balance, if you try to hurry or be very slow it will disturb the rhythm .. Meditate two or three times a day , and try to remain meditative throughout the day 🙏
