@@JapaneseGardenTV I thank you for that already. I also think it's very important that old knowledge like that about Japanese gardening continues to be used.
This is one of your best videos yet, Matsunaga-san! The cultural details were very informative and provided a better appreciation of Roji-style gardens. Looking forward to Episode 2!
Thanks for sharing the deep-rooted Japanese cultural meaning of omotenashi, highest Japanese hospitality. The revered mindset of dedication, immense preparation and meticulous ceremony to make it the most memorable experience possible for guests. The roji garden is an important part of the ceremony. It beautifully supports the symbolic & defined views: with its stepping stones, bamboo fences, tsukubai water basin and tranquil plantings with its sublime visual beauty & details.
I'm especially looking forward to seeing this garden because I love learning about the different tea ceremonies. Japanese gardens and tea ceremonies are both very beautiful and calming. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for this great video! I didnt know that japanese garden is related closer to tea ceremony, very interesting information about tea ceremony that I didnt know, I always think that it is a simple ceremony, but I was totally wrong!
what exhaustive work... the details... Thank you very much for the explanations, we couldn't understand the depth of this work. I look forward to the next one! beautiful video!
I have greatly appreciated your past videos - each one serene, lovely and inspiring. Your new video format is even more beautiful! I gain deeper understanding and insights for my garden tasks. I will feel more connected with nature and knowing that others work in this way, too. Thank you!
I really enjoyed your video of this father + son duo, they had a great dynamic. I also appreciate your explanation of Omotenashi and the tea ceremony. Thank you!
Thank you, for a fuller understanding of the stages leading up to a tea ceremony and the celebration it reflects. The Roji is indeed beautiful and an area I am familiar with but the true ceremony was limited in my understanding. I look forward to the next video.
Magnificent job! What dedication. Please receive my expressions of admiration from the other side of the planet, Puerto Rico in the Caribbean. Health to all of you.
So happy to see another of your videos.I look every day for another post.I love the beautiful graciousness of Japanese anything! But your gardens are divine.I can't wait for the second part, and much more.Thankyou.
We had a horrible freeze this year in N. Florida, even my bamboo froze, I'm hoping all will come back, but in the meantime your video has helped my spirit smile and this winter gives me time to reestablish my gardens to a more serene space. I've only lived in this location for a year, so thank you for this video, I'll be watching over and over...!
Thank you very much for this interesting video! Seeing not only how the garden maintenance is done but also why it is done in this manner opens the mind and makes you want to learn more about Japanese traditions. Inspiring and peaceful at the same time. Thank you for bringing a little piece of your world into mine!
Brilliant video loved the information and improved cultural understanding this really made the content even stronger. My favorite was the last view from inside where you could feel how the owner and visitors would also see enjoy the garden. I wish my house more had that kind of view
Matsunaga-san, thank you for yet another great gardening video, and introducing Shigeharu-san. I especially liked your explanation of the terms and the supporting illustrations.

How are these great shovels as shown in 09:58 named? The brushes / brooms are called shuro, it recently found out, but the other thing? Thanks for your consideration.
Hi from Spain. I have a question, I would appreciate it if you could answer. At the end of the video you can see that they tie a rope to a stone. Why do they do this? Does it mean something in Japanese culture?
Thank you for your watching!!✨🙌

This explanation is really very helpful. Without them you would only see some gardeners (masters) tending and cleaning a garden. 👍
Thank you! 😊

Wonderful to watch. As a "gaijin" it took me many years to learn the tea ceremony. And I'm still learning more to fully understand it. Arigato.🙏

Where can you purchase the large green cleaning pans and brushes they use? ❤❤❤❤❤
Modern society will become harsh and cold unless many of these traditional ways are preserved. These beautiful gardens bring balance. 🙏
That's exactly what I'm talking about😊.
I too would like to preserve these valuable skills as much as possible.
