Kadisha Valley, also romanized as the Qadisha Valley and also known as the Kadisha Gorge or Wadi Kadisha, is a gorge that lies within the Bsharri and Zgharta Districts of the North Governorate of Lebanon. The valley was carved by the Kadisha River, also known as the Nahr Abu Ali when it reaches Tripoli.

.
The holy river, Nahr Qadisha, runs through the valley for 35 km from its source in a cave (grotto) a little way below the Forest of the Cedars of God. The sides of the valley are steep cliffs that contain many caves, often at more than 1,000 m and all difficult of access. The most scenic section of the valley stretches for approximately 20 km between Bsharri (Arabic: بشري), the hometown of Kahlil Gibran, and Tourza (Arabic: طورزا).

Whatever I say about this stunning episode is not enough. Thank you Anthony (filming & editing was superb), Marc (your expertise in nature is invaluable), Elie (your historical presentation of this area makes this episode so special) and Charbel (your guidance, singing and the info you provided is extremely appreciated) for taking us all on this wonderful journey and providing viewers with valuable insights, guidance and stunning scenery. Qadisha Valley (Wadi Qannoubine), a UNESCO World Heritage site, comprises the largest number of old monastries and hermitages dating back to the first spread of Christianism. The Holly Valley offers spectacular views of isolated rock-cut monasteries, old caves & hermitages, mountain landscapes, steep foot paths and beautiful natural wildlife. Nearby is the ancient Forest of the Cedars of God cited 103 times in the bible! Finding 3 plants during your hike that are not found anywhere in the world except this area is incredible. Looking forward to to the next episode, a continuation to this Qannobine visit. 👏 🤩

This episode just amazing! The sceneries are breathtaking! And i loved the most the highlight about the syriaque etymology of our dialect, manuscripts and holy places. By the way i am not Lebanese but Anthony make everybody fall in love in Lebanon and i hope Lebanese appreciate that and take well care of their Holy places, books and their original syriaque language!
God bless you
Now you know why I used to go mad at you Anthony everytime you said “Arabic this and Arabic that” WE ARE LEBANESE, CANAANITES, PHOENICIANS in DNA and Syriac in liturgy 🇱🇧☺️🇱🇧
Right👍
our lebAanese language is canaanite not syriac .. if it was really syriacs we would ve said = mou , soleflak - shlonak etc ... these are proper words used by syrians and iraqis ( both homeland of what they pretend to call Syriac language ) ..
@@lebanonthehostbecamethehos2904 I referred to our liturgy (Church mass and hymns). Syriac is the new word for Aramaic, We do speak Canaanite but we use Aramaic alphabet which in turn comes from Phoenician alphabet that unfortunately ceased to be used for some reason.
I am lucky enough to travel the world, especially Europe, us Phoenicians, we shaped Southern Europe and Northern Africa ancient history. My wife is Hungarian and when travelling in Hungary the usage of Phoenician language is clear to see, also Etruscan language (Tuscany) took Phoenician alphabet and used it in their language. Every island in the Mediterranean is Phoenician with evidence not just talk 🇱🇧♥️🇱🇧
I wish pple will wake up and claim for their roots
We have all the legal proofs on our side
Our DNA
My test mention 100% Levant 0% Arab
Same for my family and cuz
If 50% shows that DNA prooves
But brainwashed
Anthony &Charbel ❤❤

Hi Anthony
Thank You for the videos you upload 👍👍👍👍
A lot of people are asking if you can upload videos of the scenery and nature more often.
If possible can you please upload more videos with nature and the scenery.
Your video quality is spectacular.
Cheers👍👍👍👍
Very informative and thank you for shedding light on our language origin.
Charbel said that Jesus Christ talked Aramaic and lived in Palestine.
The Bible tells that Jesus is a Jew who talked Aramaic but he lived in Galilee.
Is The area of Galilee Palestine now?
nice
😍👍💌💯💞🙏😍😍
This is so beautiful . We do have a beautiful Lebanon. Just if we can work on changing people's behavior of littering everywhere and planting trees.
Did you see the video of a local hero in the slums of Qobbe Tripoli?
Her name is Fahda and she managed to clean her small slum neighborhood by planting and organizing solid waste removal.
So glad to hear that! There are many local heroes.
❤❤
our lebanese language is a mix of LEBANESE CANAANITE and ARABIC .. NOT SYRIAC . unfortunately the guys are missinformed .. THE LEBANESE LANGUAGE IS PROPERLY AN INDEPENDANT LANGUAGE - this is a quote by Said Akl and May Murr and roots back to CANAANITE origins ..
the lebanese language is different than Syrians iraqis ( the homeland of Syriac ACCENT ) and then Arabs ( who learned the syriacs ACEENT ) ... as example lebanese don not say : MOU - SHLONAK - SOLEFLAK
there is nothing called a syriac or aramic language , there are different accent of the Phoenician canaanite language .. the arameans learnt the phoenician canaanite and the syriacs did after them ..
you can notice that the "syriac " alphabet is like aclone of the Phoenician canaanite = same number of letters , same order and pronounciation and even the same meaning of each letter as given by the phoenicians .. the syriacs transmitted the language to the arabs and introduced it to them as their own language which they called SYRIAC because they were proud of the language they have adopted from the aramaeans who adopted it from the canaanite lebanese ... Lebanese never spoke syriac , even when the syriac splitted words and added voyals to the Phoenician alphabet, the Phoenicians insisted on sticking words and not using voyals to keep their messages secret
