I just recently watched the painting of Max from Life is Strange, and then I came across this one. It kinda reminded me of Chloe for some reason, depending on if she died or not in the game.
Dude, your amazing at painting and drawing!!! The way your able to blend and wash out some of the color so that it looks natural and just right is flipping fantastic. I look to your work for inspection and to see how you would draw it 😄lol I'm just learning to draw manga and its harder than it looks exactly inking and coming up with creative original drawings. Anyway just wanted to say you're amazingly talented!!!

i used to sketch people, things and anime before, then few year sketch to doodles, then painting to digital arts. question, have you ever cried so hard befor you debute as an artist? (i mean, before you officially put your work to internet) just curious. :)
How do you do it without crumpling the paper? or what do you do first to the paper before painting?
im guessing you mean how does he paint without the paper buckling and like going all wavy and the answer is he uses watercolour paper in a block. the edges of the paper are all glued tightly to other pieces of paper underneath which prevents the paper from going all funny. if thats not what you meant sorry just trying to help :)

Ich hab eine Frage: ich hatte sowieso vor drei deiner Werke zu kaufen, darüber hinaus wollte ich mich erkundigen ob es möglich ist ein File (auch käuflich) zu erwerben, sodass ich dein Werk als meinen Desktophintergrund nutzen kann? Ich weiß warum es das nicht so gibt (wäre ja schön blöd dann kanns ja jeder drucken), ich würde es nur super gern nutzen, denn deine Werke sind einfach nur wunderschön. Wenn nicht dann muss ich warten bis die Schätze hier sind nachdem ich bestellt habe und hoffen das mein Scanner keine Faxen macht (Und natürlich bleibt das egal auf welchem Wege in Eigennutzung. Ich mag ja weiter solche Videos sehen :) )

So, how did you learn to paint with watercolor? All by yourself, or did you actually take classes?
How was your experience with art? Like, you started with pencil, black and white, that kind of stuff and progressed to painting or have you always liked painting and started from there?

Laovaan how do you know what color put ? kind you mix blue with yellow to make shading and is cool, as you know blue with pink ( an example) is legal? I'm starting to paint in watercolor and ta not getting cool xD always leaves something ugly , can you tell me what you do for the result to be legal? Hi! does anyone know why, when I use Watercolor, the colour makes a sharp Edge , as it takes the path of the water? its so ugly, my faces are always full of rough edges :(
Look up wet-in-wet technique, Laovaan uses it all the time in his videos. Basically, if you want the face to have no sharp watercolor edges inside of it you always have to keep the whole face wet when working on it and push the hard edges to the outside lines of the face. In most of Laovaan's videos you can see that he frequently applies water to the whole face or other larger areas when he wants to work on them again in order to avoid sharp edges.

Wow, that face looks absolutely stunning. May I ask if you use reference photos and how you get those? Cause I try only to use open source images but I often find the quality lacking.

Aber ich muss sagen, es ist schon ziemlich deprimieren neben deinen Speedpaints zu zeichnen, da wirken die eigenen Bilder immer so schlecht XD
Du hast recht, der ist echt der Hammer aber ich glaube der hat sehr oft geübt und Fehler gemacht. Dadurch gelernt und es ist nur üben. Ich sag mach die ein Bild pro Tag Ding und bestimmt nächstes Jahr hast du Erfolg. Für mich ist malen therapeutisch und entspannend. Wenn Leute es mögen, toll aber ich tue es für mich. Alles gute und gib nie auf 😊
