5 minutes in, all i watched so far are refs acting in a professional manner in amateur environments. Props to them
Love seeing refs take charge. Tired of players thinking they can just constantly disrespect refs
I’m shocked there are referees still, the abuse they take is atrocious!
WE're working on a "refs taking abuse video" but its taking so long cause theres so much footage to sort through!
Multi-part series. 😂
Dude 50 thousand quit in the past 5 years like 45% of referees in city areas
Because they cannot or will not enforce the Laws because they know about half the matches would be abandoned within an hour. Most of the matches on this channel would not complete -- and some didn't anyway.
Dude a couple weeks ago I had a team of 12 year olds tell me off 😅😳
Coming from a rugby background, one of the main things that stops me watching football is the amount of dissent shown towards refs. Admittedly some of these refs are a tad “over zealous” shall we say but good on them for not taking abuse. Would never fly on the rugby pitch that’s for sure. Great upload again guys 👍🏼
Rugby is the shining light. I don't think I've ever seen a rugby player go off at a rugby ref. The problem with football is that there's too many princesses out there that think they're untouchable.
@@WrinklyTraveller I guess that's why no one watches it.
As a football ref I wish we got respect that rugby refs get
there is recent trend in European football to fight it - from Premier League to the bottom. Refs have licence to give yellow for even minor dissent. I like it!
Exactly, Rugby players are so respectful to referee's, in my opinion, Football need to enforce laws about player behaviour, specifically dissent.
The Yardie Ref (2:58)to the player who dived,"Yuh open yuh moat one more time an you out ah de game".Lol!Sounds like home.Hahahahaha!
As a ref, I'm grinning the entire time. This video absolutely made my week and I can't wait for part 2. Plenty for me to learn from some of these absolute pros!
Oh yeah loll I'm so happy some of us are starting to fight back
As a former player I really appreciated strong referees who took charge and were consistent. When that was established I could try to accept it and concentrate on playing. I liked watching this video too.
@@neilwhitaker6284 exactly! More over refs are there to protect player's health from unfulfilled psychos playing in amateur football. Man, I have work to go to on Monday, not hospital.
100 % we need to have a part 2 as soon as possible
Gotta be one of the hardest jobs out there honestly.. everybody hates you, no one's your friend, you're public enemy number one, you're going to make a mistake and people will say you cost them the game and you're practically by yourself when a team is surrounding you.. hats off to them.. game couldn't be played without you
Tbh the lady referee towards the end has the most commanding presence for me😂
Watching men's soccer is like watching days of lives so much drama. Lol 😆 🤣 😂
These Canadian leagues are full of funny guys that take their adult rec leagues way too serious! Most of them have a full on beer belly and hardly look the part of a real baller. Hats off the these refs for not tolerating the BS! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🤙🏾💯
6:07 love this guy, reminds me of this ref we used to have who would just give an entire team yellow cards without batting an eye. Keep it up
Cause if ref lose control, the game will get dangrous, broken legs and some
that’s pretty awful refereeing, he’s overdoing it
It sounds like what he said was “anyone who attempted to kick the ball, come right here.” Then half the blue team queues up. What did I miss as the issue? Mass dissent and a series of things leading up to this?
Good training helped me deal with players, coaches, parents, etc.
No need to yell. No need to be disrespectful.
Just a few lessons learned over the years:
1. Sideline issues: typically a coach or spectator. Whistle, stop game. Walk, don't run. Count while you're walking. Calm yourself first.
Everyone knows that stroll is going to handle dissent or a question. By the time you get there, the person knows they are now the center of your attention.
Always worked for me.
On the field, players shown respect often return it. The few,or those that lack self control, just require a short phrase. Cards are just reinforcement.
But, pro refs drive me crazy. I was taught keep it short. It's not time for a discussion. This is what I saw. This is what I called. That's it. Good? No? Well, you've been heard. Back to the game.
That's crazy bro
You can have a heated back and forth in the middle of the game with a ref, respectfully. What is amazing is that players and coaches expect refs to continue to show up and be abused.
I love seeing refs consult with the linesman that’s how it should be done
I live in Australia and went to watch a league game, the game was called off because there were multiple players either in the bin for 10 minutes or sent off. The team didn't seem to want to play but bash their opposition up and then the spectators and I think they were kicked out of the comp
good!
I don't know about Toronto, but here in Dallas the refs take buckets of abuse. Honestly, I'm happy to see them stand up for themselves, and keep the game in line.
I need a part 2 for sure🤞🏼 love watching these
2:29 that limp sure disappeared quick
Alternate Titles: Refs with some balls unlike most of the Ontario Refs I see that act as walking doormats.
04:13 - No. 17 should have gotten a straight red for that haircut.
thumbs up but I was thinking that the guy who got a yellow because he needed his coach to tie his hair back needed to see 17's barber :)
Thats an awesome Clip! Thx for that and for all the Ref comrades on the fields. We need more of this Ref Content ❤💪🙏👍
Player: “I played the ball!”
Me as Ref: “That’s not the rule!”
Horrible sideline ref at 0:50. Wrong call all the way.
It's nice to see these adult children finally get the discipline they never got when they were kids!
That is why every professional player has to think about his/her behaviour on the pitch very very hard. They are the rolemodels for the people in the video and if ref abuse on higher stages seems acceptable, then low tier and weekend players will act on it. It's a game, not your release-valve for accumulated frustration.
true, such behaviour tricles down to amateur football.
Post more full games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I watch these on break and pray you've uploaded every time lol love the channel
"what did I do, I'm just TALKING TO HIM, what the FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU, I'm JUST TALKING TO HIM" hilarious crying and something we've all heard a drama queen try-hard say on the pitch. Best part about these videos is none of these games matter for anything. At most pointless men's league club games. Always blows my mind how some of these guys have meltdowns like this in front of their kids on the bench lol. Good role models way to show your kids sportsmanship.
Glad to see Canada having more grassroot football now.
Damn, after watching the butcher series on this channels I'm happy to see there are actually decent refs over there.
The first lines man lol
As a referee in Australia, I can personally say that these referees are being too lenient with the players. To most of these players, they would have been admonished and/or excommunicated by myself. Some of the conduct here by the players is petulant and demonstrates that they have no clue what they are talking about.
This is every men's league in Ontario.. 🙄
4:28 The player actually puts the ball exactly where foul occurred. The referee turned his back to the play and then gets mad when he sees the player had placed the ball not where he wanted it while going into an unneeded lecture. Simply overcontrolling to the point that he'll lose control of the match if he's like that all the time. No badge says a lot.
MORE PLEASE!!!!!
If these refs we’re in the premier league it would be so much better!
That keeper in green thot he can pull a fast one😂
I've reffed Rugby matches for a few years now. Thankfully we never get the petulance from players. Just from coaches and "fans".
I refed for almost 40 years, and there was one reason I would not ref men's games. There are so many 'cry babies' I got tired of dealing with it. So, I stuck to youth, and it was a little better. But then you have to deal with the parents.
5:00 Keeper lucky not to get a red there
Coach killer
"What did he get thrown out for?" Me: "For being a fucking asshole." Actually did this.
5:00 The keeper is lucky not to get a straight red. The referee was being kind. I hate idiot keepers who think they are Princes out there with special rules. I bet that guy also brings his knee up, initiates contact with an attacker and then claims he's allowed to 'protect himself'.
1) Red coach should've gone for the abuse. Red 19 may well have committed two cautionable offenses and is very fortunate to still be in the game at all.
2) 16 Polish Eagles should've been gone. That's ref abuse with the language. If you say "one more", then that's gotta come with at least a yellow.
3) Dammit, this is why your leagues are out of control. If you're going to call that embellishment, 9 RED MUST BE SENT OFF FOR THE DISSENT. ENFORCE THE LAWS.
4) No, they're wrong. Blue 2 must be (and was correctly) cautioned. The referee gives consent to reenter. And you have a very real chance of sending off the Blue coach, and, at that point, 17 Blue has to go in the book as well.
5) Tamer than some of the others, but especially with a chance to score off the kick, the referee insists, correctly, on the right spot.
6) He's actually very lucky that's yellow, and lucky twice he's not sent off with the lip. He can wait for the guy to get down the pitch within the 8 seconds. The penalty is correct. "You need the red card?" Yes, he should've gotten it for Serious Foul Play (Violent Conduct is only if the ball is dead.) on the original foul.
7) YES, YES, A HUNDRED TIMES YES. This is the only thing that's going to put an end to, at all levels, the dissent mobs around the referee. Card them all. They're ALL committing Dissent through action. Five players get yellow, one of them continues and sees red. Three tweets might well not have been out of line here.
8) And it sounds like Black 11's team is already down one player, and if he doesn't shut his yap, it's a second.
9) So the Black team coach is gone and the dissenting player is out for two minutes, and he's still going -- and the Black team is committing repeated infringements to prevent the free kick (that should've been a penalty)...
10) Then put 6 Black in the book, referee.
11 and 12) Another coach who should've been sent from the park.
13) Ref should never have gotten in his face. Send him from the touchline immediately, be done with it.
14) 2 Orange in the book, ref.
15) NO, YOU CAN'T! GET OUT #4... And it sounds like he isn't the only one about to go.
16) No final warnings. 99 Gray, 10 White, off for Serious Foul Play. You've got another sending off for abuse on Gray as well.
as a reff myself it is not good to be an angry ref because players won't respect you. but it is good to be firm and stand your ground
This vid bouta blow UP🔥🔥
I absolutely love this. Too many shit talkers in football running there mouths. Look how respected refs are in rugby, nowhere near the size of the actual players and yet there's no bullshit.
FIFA doesn’t allow dissent. Twice you’re off!
Riiiiiight.....That's not the reality in any league from youth to the EPL (especially).
Being a ref, I've encountered many of these situations. Some of them, I would not have used such a harsh response as it looks a bit like a loss of control on some occasions, e.g., the young lady with the dark hair. Still, some really good refs setting the standard. We don't get paid enough.
thumbs up but I was OK with that young lady. Perhaps you are right but I think she felt she needed to get control quickly. It can be hard I think being a lady surrounded by 22 men who are stronger and bigger. I think as a former player I'd be chuckling a little but I'd also fall into line and respect the referee's authority if she did that in one of my matches.
@@neilwhitaker6284 agree! And we don't know what was the game like so far - most likely there was a need to react that way.
4:12 oof my man, just shave it all off....
Almost every single call was legit but the ref at 5:45 is just on a power trip
What game was this?
@@joeldixon8638 The one at 5:45 into the video
And here I was thinking the only reason why blokes played “ football “ was because they couldn’t stand contact sport like rugby league or rugby union I’ve discovered the real reason is the simplest truth is rugby league or rugby union requires disciplined and training and then some more training unlike football it’s one day a week and any mug that’s sober or standing up reasonably steady on his feet had 2 hours of practice the entire week and doesn’t know the difference between rules and penalties is a angry lad is perfectly reasonable for playing football tell me I’m wrong 😢😢
6:54 This is what coaches do not want in any games backchatting and this happens
All of these players are playing in the World Cup because they are so great. Even those real World Cup players don’t beak off like these “all stars” do. They know better.
I hate to say it but the woman was the only ref to make an good decision
Really bad refs, very emotional refs.. and none of the players is in shape to play football lol
Intersting content as always :D good work man
This video made my day, can’t wait for part 2. Tired of hearing players cry and stomp their feet like children….glad to see the refs take control
Geesh... what a bunch of Ms Nancy's.
Refs- lose the power complex
Players- lose the baby complex
@5:00 thats not a penalty. It's a yellow card, drop ball restart back to the goalkeeper. The other player, though he instigated, was not in possession of the ball.
2:53 don’t f with a Jamaican, my gf is one so trust me!! 😂
I love this video. The players in these men's amateur leagues treat refs like absolute dog shit and it's nice to see ones fight back when they might be risking their assignments. The funny thing is, I'm sure that these players will then report the referees for their "unprofessional behavior" like professional coaches do. I remember a year or two back I think it was EPL, a coach started berating a referee post-game and the referee started listing off tactical reasons his team lost because of his coaching and he was report.
😅😅
I mean... First action is all wrong by the sideline ref, it's obviously a foul in favor of the forward but yet he calls it in favor of the defender LMAO. Defender is clearly grabbing/hooking the forward with his arm and restraining him from going directly to the goal. That could/should be a red card for negating a goal opportunity and yet he gets it wrong and then the official gives the forward a yellow and actually says "Do you want 2?"
Horrible officiating.
100% need a part 2 these are the types of refs that are needed the ones who don’t let the little anger issue players get away with shit talking them and getting gobby to others, still the players and crowd are always so clueless in these vids 😂
There are some good examples of how to officiate a game there are also to many examples of how not to officiate.
0:50 is the assistant referee foul wrong side? 🤣
yeah that was a bad call..good on the center for standing up for him though i guess
Players are absolute trash. Refs actually had this.
Love seeing refs take no shit
Heeeey! The ref at 4:25 use to ref my indoor and outdoor games for years. he never took shit from anyone. He was one of my favourite refs
Pure
4:00 The coach actually thinks that *He* needs to be told something he's already told the player? I guess if he's clueless enough to not even know the laws maybe he actually believes that.
Me two but this is a different country
@6: what the fuck he’s doing? 😂
this is how the refs SHOULD be in all non professional football matches where the players act like babies playing dirty by calling the refs names when they get booked for their fouls.
I love these referees man. No bullshit. We need referees like this in professional football as well.
A head butt gets a “final warning”?
While I agree with 99% of all the comments here about referees taking charge or taking too much abuse and players thinking they can do and say whatever they want … the 1% I disagree with is that most of these refs in this video are just refs who got a little too much power LOL. These guys will never move to a higher level because quite honestly their antics as the “I’m in charge here” is a little overboard. If you pleated higher level you know what I’m saying!
My dad was rude to referee back when he was in pee wee soccer team he talked back and he got sent home and his coach got mad at him
For me im not rude to referees i was being good patient with Refs .
The referee calling a penalty against the gk that had the ball was wrong. If you’re gonna call that on the gk, it’s indirect at the spot.
Should’ve been a yellow for the white team player for obstruction and/or unsporting behavior
12:08 First Person Reffing
5:00 His own teammates are shaking their heads.
How the reff got the cert
Some of these guys have never taken a punch and it shows
Is 2:15 really a card for diving? If so, that's fantastic. I've never seen that before in any of these videos.
All refs should refuse to officiate adult leagues - only do youth matches. These adults don’t respect the game - and they don’t deserve the refs time. Their time has past them, why bother officiating adults who don’t care.
if i were a referee i would tell them emphatically "i am the law"
Yeah, that doesn't work and you'd establish no rapport with players and management doing that. I usually outline my expectations at the coin toss. I tell them that I will apply the laws of the game and play advantage where possible. I won't tell you how to play football, please don't tell me how ref.
title of this youtube shouldn't be angry ref rather disrespectful players & coaches
Like to see refs take charge.* I must say though a couple of them might of created a bigger problem with how they went about taking charge.
Agree. You need to ensure your level of response meets the situation. An all out angry response looks too much like loss of control.
I cant believe that ref booked 5 guys at once for dissent
I have only ever been mad at a ref once. The defender came up behind me and elbowed me in the back of the head when I was receiving a pass on the ground, and he did not call a foul, even though I left in an ambulance due to a concussion and missed two weeks of work. I sued and won, and the owner of the sports complex had to pay my time lost from work and the remaining hospital fees. That ref never refed again there and was banned after the sports complex video showed in court proved that he was negligent, that is also the only way you can sue due to the legal waivers you sign.
You sued? Therein is the problem with America. Innocent people pay because some idiot elbowed you in the head. Who exactly are you penalising?
Title should be 'angry players', instead of trying to claim that referees are the ones losing their cool
Refs should be able to keep their composure, stay professional and not have an attitude. They’re there to keep control of the game and enforce the laws, not have an attitude that only further frustrates the players and fans
@@kdburner7356 And this is a video showing refs keeping their composure.
1:37
4:39
5:21
8:05
10:37
We must have watched different videos lol, so many refs with an attitude. That’s only gonna piss off the players even more and lead to an out of control game
There's not one angry ref in this video. Just very professional gentlemen handling a bunch of unmannered boys.
American ego's really are a fragile think lol
How come at 2:34 the ref gave the red player a yellow card when the white player done the foul
He was Diving
most of these refs made terrible calls if we are being honest
The bad calls are one thing, but the sass on some of them is even worse😂 that’s where the frustration from the players and fans comes from
Where’s $5000 final ist?
oh yeah almost forgot about that.. working
on it
@@ISTSoccer good
I've seen lots of refs in the GTA. most of them suck
imagine if the refs cared as much about dangerous play as as they do about back chat!
Thing is, allowing back chat shows weakness, and players (like children) will push the boundaries and then the possibility of poor/bad tackles. I made a point of visiting both home and away changing rooms prior to the match to let them know I had little tolerance for dissent, and if there was any I had one choice… and that was the colour of the card they would get. Respect the Ref
@@rayeverett8501 didnt say they shouldnt care about backchat, just that they dont feel the same way about dangerous play
I love your channel but I can't watch anything that's 360p
It will get better soon. That happens when we publish it too soon before its had a chance to fully process. It shows it in lower quality. Will wait a bit next time so it'll be best quality the whole time!
Angry male ref : 😳😳😳
Angry female ref : 😍😍😍
Nothing but respect for the refs
