Biggest difference is driving them. The Rogue is the Altima and the Murano is the Maxima. Complete different feel when driving and not just power.
yea i always say the rogue is a bigger cousin to the altima
I was thinking the same exact thing. Except neither of these are that luxurious. I've driven both. The Murano is a little more upscale than the rogue but for the price? Helllno
Bought Murano . I needed space . got mine gently used great deal . Rogue was nice however I'm almost 6 foot n I needed space .
@@jenniferbutts5515 that s great congrats on the new whip
Derrion Brumfield compare suvs of similar size with similar features to the murano and you tell me hell no again. Youll spend 60-70k to get those same features out of an american made suv.
Very QUICK and concise review of both models, your presentation cuts to the chase and does not put your audience to sleep like some other reviewers. Your presentation elucidates the pros and cons of features so that prospective buyers can decide which model will give the the
best value.
Hey thanks so much very Happy you enjoyed the content
Speaking from personal experience. I had a 2017 Rogue for 2 1/2 years & 42K miles. It was a great SUV but I drive 85% highway & the ride/road noise left a lot to be desired. So I traded it in for a 2019 Murano & the difference is unbelievable. The Murano feels like a Lexus but for half the price. I got the base "S" model $33,500 killer year end sales deal oh & I average 28.5 MPG so I couldn't be happier.
Hey that's great so glad you happy with your Murano
Test drove both of them. Went with a Murano Platinum. Couldn't be happier!
I love the Rogue as well and after watching your comparison I'm so glad I chose the Rogue!!
Great thanks so much for your comments so glad you like the review !
I just purchased a 2019 Rogue and I love it!I test drove the Murano and it was just way too big for me.I felt like I was driving a mini van instead of a SUV
Phenomenal so glad you are happy thank you so much for the comments ❤️
When it comes to pricing , it's the Rogue hands down , my Rogue works just fine .
Hey thanks for the comments as I said in the video the Rogue offers a bit for bang for your buck
Love my 2016 Rogue only thing that drives me crazy is im always losing my blind spot detector going down thge road just cuts off!! Took to to retailer replaced the sensor couple months later now doing it again. Other than that like the car my first Nissan.

I just got the 2018 rogue s, nothing spectacular but I can say did my first road trip with no issue, rides smoothly and easy to fill up.
well thats good to hear congrats on your new rogue
I’ve driven both extensively.......the MURANO is by far superior in ride and style and performance. There is really no comparison
Yes the Murano is a Superior ride but also ten gs more
Ride? No neither ride substantially. Dont know what type of cars you're used to but. Neither are Cadillac smooth both seem pretty stiff to me.
@@DeeeBeee123 Cadillac s are junk sir
@@DeeeBeee123 A Cadillac is nothing but a rebranded Chevy Equinox, Traverse, Tahoe...all lousy vehicles made by Chevy.
Of course there is no comparison Larry because the Rogue and Murano are two totally different class vehicles. The Rogue is based on the Altima and the Murano based on the Maxima. Your comment would make more sense if it was compared to a more equal vehicle, such as a Toyota Highlander. This video points out the differences and similarities between two different model vehicles sold by the same manufacturer. Of course one will be 'better' subjectively in ride, style, performance, but one is also $10K more than the other.
I’ve had mine a year now and I still LOVE it! Everyone who rides in it and at work LOVES it!

Love my 2018 Murano SV. Almost got a rogue, but it was just too small for me. And actually, I get better gas mileage in my Murano than anyone I know with a rogue. I commute 140 miles a day for work, and average 32 mpg in my Murano.

I bought the 2020 Rogue in December. I got the SV model with the ‘sun and sound’ package and the premium package. That way I got all the features that I wanted. It’s a great car and I am happy about my purchase!

I just bought a 2016 Nissan Rouge last year after an automobile accident. I absolutely love my Rogue.
Kelsey Hurst have you had any issues with it I’m kind of scared now I just bought a rogue people online are saying they are problems
@@LuLuzjourney I just had to take it to the shop to repair a heating cover that had come loose under the car (the car started rattling underneath when I turned it on and when I accelerated). It was $40, and they said it's something that's common with Rogues. Otherwise it's been great!
Amanda Nicholson thank you for responding these reviews scare me oh my goodness that’s good to know
Fascinating video, I've always driven Altimas and I honestly want a upgraded vehicle just to make sure I never have to deal with flooding ever again. The murano definitely seems more luxurious. The rogue sounds tougher though.

Great video breakdown
Hey thanks so much for the comment glad you enjoyed the video

Rogue all the way. Love my 2018 Rogue SV. The amount of cargo I carry for work is insane and it fits just fine. Sound system is mind-blowing when going for road trips. Highly recommend.
Hey glad to see we agree on the matter
Agreed with the cargo difference, planing to go camping on my 2019 Rogue sl awd platinum, could not fit the same amount of stuff on the Murano, and for the price I get a lot value, is also my daily commuter to work and gas savings is important to me. I feel is plenty fast, considering the size and type of car. The ride is very comfortable, another big plus.

My 2016 Rogue got totalled a week ago and I loved it! I'm sure the Murano drives nice but I require the cargo space and for the first time ever I was able to have a clean trunk area. I'm definitely in the market for another Rogue! And your video helped

I am driving a Nissan Murano Platinum. While my Murano has been in service I have been given a Rogue Platinum to use for a number of days at a time. I found the Murano quieter, smoother, more powerful, and much quicker. Between the two, I would take the Murano Platinum at any time. I found the Rogue to be more like a smaller vehicle for handling. The Rogue was a bit easier for fitting in to tight parking spaces. Bottom line... I would take the Murano at any time! You get what you pay for!
Murano is the wife, smooth but can also be rough when you want. Roque is the stripper where she's cheap, harder and you don't feel bad losing at all.
Lol that's a great way to put to it

I had a 2015 Nissan Rogue with many features and it was very easy to drive and smooth. One thing that made me trade it in was that it had third row back seat with no spare tire. Even with the seats down, there was not enough cargo space for me. I traded it in for a 2015 Nissan Murano with low mileage with less features but love it. I choose Murano!!!

I never realized the trunk capacity was so different. I chose the Murano for towing capacity, but I'm paying for that power at the gas pump, by only getting an average of 22.8 mpg.
thanks for watching certainly is a double edge sword better towing equals more fuel
Nice comparison. I'm glad to someone finally do this in a video.
You just confirmed my thoughts. I just don't see enough of a difference to justify 10K more.

I would like to buy the Murano for the acceleration and the curvy looks I love it. But then for practical reason and money wise the rouge is the winner. But I have bought rouge two times already .I guess I really want changes now. I will see how this go.. soon.
Hey thanks for you comment s glad to see a happy Nissan fan
I started out with a 2010 Rogue S, then updated to a 2014 Platinum, but traveling through the mountains was an issue for the Rogue as it used far more gas, and the engine just didn't produce enough torque to effectively handle the terrain. I updated to a Murano Platinum in 2016, and now I am HAPPY. Big difference between the two in terms of horsepower and torque, otherwise, they are very similar, and I love the Bose sound system. The Rogue also has a smaller gas tank which also meant I had to exit and refill more often than I do with the Murano. On one trip, I was behind a Range Rover Sport, and he was driving 120 mph, and I was a few yards behind him with no problem, I followed him all the way to Indianapolis. At first I didn't think my Murano would keep up, but it definitely did, and the CVT also reduced the RPM too which helped me save gas, that's also a great benefit.
hey thanks so much glad you are happy with your murano thanks so much for your comment much appreciated
Personally I opted to get a 2 year lease turn in. I just bought a 2017 murano it has the same features for the most part, same exact body styling for less than half the price at 18500 after everything.
Can't go wrong my friend
I bought my 2020 Nissan Rogue SV and a year ago and loving it. Doesn’t have some decent package in it. Question, is there any way that I can have “Pro Pilot ” install to this car? That would be great!! Thanks!
I dont think you would be able to do this my friend
I would buy the Rogue because I enjoy driving it, you feel more connected to the road than if you drive the Murano
PS: I've drove both
Great choice glad we agree .
Murano is worth the extra price. The fold-down rear seats are flatter when down. Plus enough of a difference for me to enjoy more. Plus I would assume a better resale value.
better resale value for sure but you pay for when you purchase
A little late to the party but I purchased a 2020 Rogue SL reserve package today, to upgrade my 2016SL. What a world of difference 4 years makes. The Rogue is one of the best value for the money proposition. Tons of safety equipment and great on gas, while providing cargo space and an awesome AWD system.

Neither, I've had the wonderful opportunity to work on both models, they are impossible to work on without saying every cuss word in the book along with some made up words.

@Aran Ignite Ever heard of Chrysler??
I had a 2011 SL Rogue for 5 years, now I drive a 2018 Murano. The Murano is by far superior in ride and comfort. Even when I have to spend more on gas (around 45$/month more) I think I made a good decision when I bought the Murano. The Rogue is great in it's class but Murano is better.
Thanks so commenting what trim of Murano do you have ??
Hi, help! I am looking to purchase a 2013 Murano SL with 133,000 miles on it. Is it still good to go for a while longer? Thank you.
yes it will certainly last if its well taken care of
The reason there is no pro-pilot assist in the Murano, but it is available in the Rogue, is because the Rogue uses fully electric steering which is compatible with Nissan's pro-pilot assist tech. The Murano uses a hydraulic and electric hybrid steering system.
Yea I learned that same with the Maxima... Wish it had though
Obviously, Murano is a definitely a much better car. I own a 2020 Murano SV and love it so much! Very powerful and comfy. Already mid size family car.
Highly recommend it.

I have a 2012 Murano SL . Love it and would happily buy another Murano. Have had absolutely NO problems with it. Also have a 2017 Frontier Pro4X. Also a lot of fun. But it is time to replace the Murano. As we live on a very steep hill, the 2102 Murano CVT does not have much engine breaking capacity, resulting in riding the brakes a lot (unlike the Pro4X truck transmission). A question for this group: Does either the 2020 Rogue and/or Murano CVT have the ability to hold it in a lower ratio ("1st" which is what I use on the Pro4X) so I can effectively use the engine for breaking? This is my biggest concern going for another CVT car over a standard auto box again.
thank you for your comments

Maybe a great deal imo. I have the limeted edidtion which is a bit nicer than the average. It still runs great but I’d say mine is gonna retail at about 4500. If it’s been kept up and you can see the record is pretty clean itll be a good buy. If there’s no major problems than it can be a point a b and c car no doubt. Keep up with it and it could easily have 60-80 thousand miles on it.

I have the platinum Murano and love it. I have better performance on back roads and hills and up in the maintains it is much better. Easy to drive on tight roads with hills and curves, has excellent turn radius as well. Murano is actually 4ft bigger when you try put stuff in the cargo area. Omg can’t stand way he says Murano. I get heated and cooled seats in front and back. The sound is amazing in mine. If you look away mine beeps to bring your attention back to the road, the emergency breaking. My Murano has that that is not correct. The weather in the my Murano is amazing.

Personally i like a full sound. Doesn't have to be the upgraded platinum package but it needs umpff. You musicians know what i mean.
I also need a car that i can survive a strong impact in. That's not the rogue.
The Murano fits that bill just fine.
A 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine has never done it for me especially when hauling a substantial load.

Hey great choice I do feel there is a lot of value in a Murano sv or s and it's great for towing however I prefer the rogue just my own opinion
the trouble with rogue and maurano is that infiniti qx50 exists for the same price
The QX50 is garbage. The Murano is more than enough!
I feel like people only buy Nissan's because they haven't tried much of anything else. My fiancee bought a 2013 Sentra that died at 100k miles (CVT bit the dust). He got $500 bucks for it (interior and exterior were SPOTLESS). They have very poor resale values. Meanwhile my Toyota Celica was still pumping strong at that mark, and past it. With the paint all chipped from wear and tear and rims from a junk yard (interior in pretty good condition), I got nearly $2100 for my 14+ year old Toyota. Anyway, his family were diehard Nissan fans, and after that happened, he chose to look at Toyota since I have the new Corolla Hatch and he liked driving it a lot. His family did a complete turnaround at the Toyota dealership and now they are absolutely in love with Toyotas and considering replacing all their Nissans with them. They say the drive is better, superior handling, safety, features, etc. Also note Nissan did finally update their CVTs, but long-term reliability is foggy still. Yes, Toyota does have CVTs, and yes the hatch did have a recall on the transmission already. However, it was a very small number affected. At least they are trying to change the CVT game up with the physical first gear to help lag off the line and take some burden off. Definitely more peppy than any other CVT I've driven as of yet! Overall, if someone likes a Nissan, great. I recommend Toyotas or Honda's, but that doesn't mean all Nissan's are trash. They just have a lower reliability then other Japanese cars overall, but some are still decent. Pricing I feel is high for them in my opinion, but overall a good review!
Wow strong points Nikki and thank you so much for your comments much a appreciated. I am a really big van of the Toyotas and have nothing bad to say about them

Great choice the rogue offers so much value
For my budget I would go with the Rogue SV.
I feel the same way. More practical and easier on the wallet
We have 2 2019 Rogues, a blue and a gray, love them and they work just fine! Great review!

thanks for watching either way!
What about the major issues with transmission? I bought a Rogue only to return it a day later after hearing of bad stories and being warned to stay away. (I don’t know if it’s just with rogues or all nissans)
You returned a car after you bought it and took it home??
Cars Unlocked Yes? A Honda dealership with a 48-hour return policy
@@joeybird33 interesting we don't have that where I work
Well Nissan is a POS
I have owned both, 2010 murano and now a 2015 Rogue. I went with the Rogue because the children are now all grown and moved out. So my Rogue was enough for me and the 2 grandchildren 1 and 3 in age. The space was the only difference I saw.
Hey congrats on the grand kids u certainly have your hands full
