    My first bridge camera was a Samsung Wb1100f, and honestly I've taken some pretty good pictures with it. I've used it for everything. Everyday snapshots, the moon, birds, my dogs and cats, insects, flowers, landscapes, and even portraits of family and friends. I recently ordered a used Canon SX60 that I'm pretty excited about. Hopefully I can learn even more with it. It has Manual mode, and my Samsung only has auto and program.

      Awesome! If it’s anything like my canon sx50, then you’re going to love it 👍

    the reason i clicked on the video is that i have a fuji bridge camera and i kind of underestimated it i always thought that without a DSLR you can not have great photos , but seeing your great photos i realized that i was wrong

      Same reason I clicked. I’ve got one too (Fujifilm) and desperately wanting to try, again, to get into the hobby. Mine is about 7 yrs old now but I’m trying again. 📸😀

    Can you please tell me which camera unit/name you are using for the sample pictures?

      Sure :) the majority of the I mages were taken with the Nikon B700, and some with the Canon SX50HS. I don’t have the Canon anymore (zoom lens issues) but I still have the Nikon B700 and still enjoy shooting with it :)

    I use a bridge camera also just for the reasons that you told in the video.I think they are a great choice for travelling, everyday use and if you want you can take pretty good pictures if you do know some tricks about using it, its not that hard. My camera is a bit old but still doing the job great.Its a Olympus SP560UZ with 18x optic zoom.

      Thanks for the comment :) I quite like the challenge and satisfaction you get from creating great images from “amateur” cameras. I remember when Olympus was the king of the superzooms :)

    I use a bridge camera for all the reasons you point out in this video, and I'm more than happy with it. Indeed, I'm not willing to pay out all the extra money for a DSLR or similar, and lenses just for the sake of a larger sensor and more pixels.

      Thanks for your comment Ashley :) which bridge camera do you use, and what do you shoot with it?

      Thanks for the video! Bridge cameras are a great all around camera solution for enthusiasts. My Lumix FZ300 is with me all the time. Im enjoying the hobby more than ever.

      Thanks for the comment Joe :) I was quite tempted by the FZ300 for it’s wide aperture lens and weather sealing, and if I had my time over again, I would have gotten one instead of my Nikon B700

    There are some Wildlife photographer winners who used bridge cameras and beat contenders with cameras 6x the value. Like anything it is how you use it and how you process the photos afterwards. Most of the criticism comes from people who believe purple fringing, bokeh and sharpness means everything but forget the very basic concept. Taking a good photograph. I see videos on UA-cam where they are boasting about the quality of a camera lens or the amount of tech a camera has but are taking dull photos. At least yours are interesting.

    Hello. I am looking into buying a bridge camera. I like taking macro shots, landscapes, portraits and bird and wild life photography. Basically an all rounder . I am thinking of various options. Nikon P950, Lumix FZ300 or a Canon Powershot SX70 HS. I just cannot make up my mind. I like the Lumix FZ300 but the zoom is not that long. I live in Costa Rica so it is usually pretty sunny during the whole day and lighting is not much of a problem. I am not into night photography that much. What do you think?

    • @TwoPatsTech
      @TwoPatsTech  3 роки тому +1

      Don’t forget that the fz300 is also more weather resistant than the other two cameras. I think the fz300 is the best of the three IF you can live with the shorter zoom

    Great vid ... im looking at a lumix fz2000 or a nikon p1000 what you think

    • @TwoPatsTech
      @TwoPatsTech  4 роки тому

      Thanks Andy - what do you want to shoot? If you want to do a bit of everything, the fz2000 is probably better. I was looking into the P1000, but it seems a bit too heavy and once the novelty of the 3000mm zoom wears off, I don't think you'll want to carry all of that camera around.

    • @TwoPatsTech
      @TwoPatsTech  5 років тому

      I think any of the current bridge cameras will work well for you, though if you want to edit your images after you take them, I would suggest getting one that shoots Raw.

    What is your view on Canon SX 70 Hs?

    • @TwoPatsTech
      @TwoPatsTech  4 роки тому

      I’ve never used it, but it seems like the only superzoom that shoots raw that isn’t gigantic or expensive. I have the Nikon B700, which is now discontinued
