Thank you! How should a person with the Factor V Leiden mutation (with no known previous clots) be treated if s/he contracts COVID-19 given the clotting issues involved in that virus? Should s/he automatically be given blood thinners? Which would be the best one?
There are medications that a physician can prescribe if needed. Most people do not develop blood clots until later in life. An MD pediatrician can provide the care needed. I’m not a medical doctor and do not give medical advice.
