Happy New Year! It's that time of year where we are breaking in new journals, planners sketch books so I thought I'd share one that I made for myself. If you don't want to make a cover, this pattern works great for blankets and scarves too! There are tips under the video in the description box on how to adapt the pattern easily for this option. xx
My granddaughter asked, well hinted for a Bible of her own.❤ I'm going to surprise her with a Bible and a Bible cover. I just started crocheting, but I'm going to do it! ❤😂🎉❤
What a pretty way to cover a book! Wish I was back in school (a thousand years ago, according to my grands), as we had to cover each of our textbooks every school year. I would have absolutely done this for my books, even though they might not fit the next year. Expressing creativity has always been my signature. 😍
I love this project. ❤ I like that cake. I am making a triangle shawl out of the that color cake. I like how you separated the colors for a small project. Great tutorial! Thank you.
It depends on if you are doing a book cover . If you are doing a book cover the sequence starts with an hdc and ends with a bobble row. If you are working a blanket/scarf then it will end with a hdc row. I have the sequence in the description box below the video. But ultimately it doesn’t matter . Work your project and finish it with the row that looks best to your eye.
Awesome, don't know how I missed that! Thank you so much. This pattern is exactly what I was looking for! I work in a library and plan to make some for my coworkers.
Maybe you made it too big? Yarn is stretchy so maybe you needed less length - maybe reduce a few rows. OR it could be that your inner folds need to be bigger to take into account that stretch. In that case you might need to add a few rows to make the flaps wider. It’s hard to know for sure without seeing it.

Hahaha! 🐸 🤣💕💕
Where can I get one of these for my bible I just love this.
Thank you ! This is a pattern - maybe you can find a friend to make it for you 💕
In your 4 row repeat you change color once but in your video you change color every two rows so I got confused. 😢
I love this book cover!
So does the 4 Row Repeat start with a Bobble row or does it end with a Bobble row?
It depends on if you are doing a book cover . If you are doing a book cover the sequence starts with an hdc and ends with a bobble row. If you are working a blanket/scarf then it will end with a hdc row.

@@tarak6827 awesome! 😀 xx
Can this work for books too?
Absolutely- it would be perfect for a hardback .
How do you get it to stay on with out slipping in the middle?
Maybe you made it too big? Yarn is stretchy so maybe you needed less length - maybe reduce a few rows.
