Thats mostly just because they stopped having chases after 2, you'd never have to run from a fight, you'd just mow down an entire army by yourself, then move onto the next horde. Thats what made the atmosphere of 1 so powerful, fighting more than 2 or 3 guys was insanely difficult, and when you killed the target and the whole army came after you, if you were stupid enough to try to fight them, they'd just destroy you, like a huge group should against 1 man.

The atmosphere in this game was unmatched. I've never felt more cold-blooded with a lack of emotion (in a good sense) while playing, ironically I felt like an eagle hunting its prey during this game.
Chroi I don't think AC 1 needs a remake but a remastered or a ps4 port would be great but as always Ubisoft only pleases Ezio's fanboys by giving jusy to his trilogy a remastered edition...
The symbolic animal for the series is an Eagle for several reasons. One of them is the term "Fight, or Flight". An Eagle can do both of these very effectively.
My trick was to only defend RIGHT when the enemy attacked, then counter. They'll only do the break guard if you're constantly defending. Otherwise, they'll just step forward.
Never the franchise has topped the darkness in this game, or the duality of good/bad depending on the perspective more than just templars=evil, or the feeling of actually being inside a computer, or this amazing chase theme... AC1 with all its flaws (repetitive) is one of the best, if not the best, games of the whole saga.
Electronic composition suits well with this, makes u feel like you're running in a simulation and the time is getting out of clutches, as the speed quickens.
Tell me about it, why the origins for the assassins back then weren’t expected to come back alive. There main goal was that target that’s it that target was more important than planning your escape and making it out alive. Why this game needs to have a remastered version
The OG chase theme Listening to that damn Notification symbol as you run Really trying to find a way out of sight was a challenge. The parkour was like a puzzle, find your way to the top. The assassinations, viewpoints, side objectives to get information about your target, this game at its core is the most assassins creed an assassins creed game gets

definitely the best game about the Assassin brotherhood.. other games were awesome, but this game makes you feel like a true hashashin, and the part of a brotherhood, that aims for something greater than your individual interests which is lacking in ALL the subsequent sequels. And Altair > everybody
While I enjoyed the Ezio trilogy and Assassin's Creed III and how mechanics were more fleshed out, this game had a mildly ethereal dreamlike feel to it that all other titles are missing.
God daaaamn....Perfect! This one is the essence of being an assassin! Whenever this kicked in, be it in a boss fight or after an assasination my blood pressure rose. Altair, definition of an assassin, the original! :D
Guys, I have an insane theory that might be too good to be true. Notice how Ubisoft has been remastering every AC game that was on 7th gen consoles? From the Ezio trilogy, Rogue, and now AC3 coming on March. There HAS to be a reason to why they’re doing this. I think they’re saving AC1 as the best for last because they might be *REMAKING* it from scratch, not just remastering it. That HAS to be the reason!
You are wrong. They won't remaster because that would be the same as stating ''hey guys come look when AC was really better directed and how we can't keep it up now"
Bruh when this track kicks in, you know shit is going down. I was always intimidated by the guards’ persistence and tactics (I.e. sword roadblocks) when escaping. Was always intense
I have only played the first 4 games so far and I miss the escapes we had on ac 1, not only the music but it made me really feel we just killed someone important, everyone wants your head and you gotta hide and go somewhere else until things cool down
Well... Yes and no. It's been about two contradicting ideologies. Both striving for peace. While the games are called Assassin's Creed. The games always were just as much about Templars. The Templars, while tending to go to far (revering to the satalite). They wanted nothing more than order and peace. They wanted a stable government of experts at the top ruling the word, while somewhat creating unity. Their ideal world would be just like ours, but instead with sepparate countries, you'd have one whole.
@@SatyamX9 *HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!* "By ... robbing them of their free will" "Free Will" What exactly is "Free Will" Many people living in a democracy, like myself, like to think that we are "free". But is that the case? No. We've got rules, laws, mandatory tasks and responsibilities, like taxes. (I could go one and one, if you'd like, but I'll keep it as short as possible in this reply) But is it a bad thing, that we arn't "Free" No. If everyman was granted complete freedom. The freedom to listen to his "Free Will" it would cause for nothing but chaos. The Templars wanted to take the modern system of sociaty, refine it. And implement it on a global, singular scale. Yes, a piece of Eden, orbitting the globe goes to far. But it was never stated how the Templars were planning to use it. (My guess would be, as a gps, pinpointing the location of every man on the map)
@Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad *Hahahahahahaha!* "They hated religious people" It seems like you missed the point of the games. I recommend you replay 1, revelations and 3. The Templars, or atleast the Templar cause in general has nothing against the concept of religion. (I'm revering towards the Assassin's Creed's Templars. Not to the ones from our history books.) Well... they might hate the devision, caused by the excistence of various religions. Since they strife for union and order. But you get my point, don't you? Neither the Assassin's nor Templars are holy saints. They are both groups that kill for their ideologies in order to reach the noble point of peace. Let's take AC1: AC 1's story was one about indoctrination. We followed a close minded Assassin. Who did, and believed what he was told since he was a young boy. He was told that the Templars, were selfish and evil. Without any questions, he took this as the truth. Only from the moment, he got degraded and humiliated (and gained some humbleness) he started to open his mind, and accept multiple flows of information, instead of one. For once he proccessed the Templars' final words and learned that the Templars weren't as he was told. That there laid reason and logic in their actions. Altaïr even questioned the Creed, according to the Codex.
@Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad wait then why did Rodrigo become pope to become the leader of Italy, I understand it's for power but if Rodrigo hated religion who would hate his status as pope
Assassins Creed in a nutshell -Go to the new part of a city -Go to Assassins Bureau -Gather some information about the Templar target -Grab the feather -Assassinate the Templar -Talk with the target after you assassinate them and paint the feather with their blood -*RUN* -Bring the feather -Earn a new weapon (Repeat this for 8 more times)

The atmosphere in this game was unmatched. I've never felt more cold-blooded with a lack of emotion (in a good sense) while playing, ironically I felt like an eagle hunting its prey during this game.
Chroi. Don't touch much just get better graphics keep everything else as is
Chroi I don't think AC 1 needs a remake but a remastered or a ps4 port would be great but as always Ubisoft only pleases Ezio's fanboys by giving jusy to his trilogy a remastered edition...
If they don’t use this theme in the upcoming ac series I’m gonna cry myself to sleep for the next 60 years

YOU FIGHT!
Jampolo Er no, you get the fuck out of there.
Lol no...trust me, when you fight while this song plays...it's just too awesome
Jampolo gg
Jampolo damn it i'm so late to discovered this game. It's so freaking awesome to fight all the guards when this plays
The symbolic animal for the series is an Eagle for several reasons.
One of them is the term "Fight, or Flight".
An Eagle can do both of these very effectively.
I mastered the counter attack and the break grip...so I am pretty much a fucking juggernaut
Me too + dodge
Neo - Devil pretty easy to master anything in the game ac 1’s combat was pretty basic
My trick was to only defend RIGHT when the enemy attacked, then counter. They'll only do the break guard if you're constantly defending. Otherwise, they'll just step forward.
@@A_Wise_Pleb welp, but i somtimes die, cuz when i click dodge somtimes he didnt dodge ;-;
@@led200_20 I still don't know if dodge it's pretty much useful if it's not combined with break guard.
who's still listening 10 years later? ♥
I do.
Desmond best assassin
Ezio coolest assassin
Altaïr best+coolest assassin (+cleverest)
Listening? I still play the game and it never gets old

Assassin's creed was always great!
I think ac2 had the animus feel down as well
We need more Arab themed assassin's Creed games

it was pretty easy to outrun them in ac3
Connor Could too... But they would shoot him in the back

There's no feeling like having half the town chasing you and hitting a dead end, then going bloodthirsty and taking out everybody.
Tell me about it, why the origins for the assassins back then weren’t expected to come back alive. There main goal was that target that’s it that target was more important than planning your escape and making it out alive.
Why this game needs to have a remastered version
You dare steal in my presence? That will cost you your LIFE!!!
The OG chase theme
Listening to that damn Notification symbol as you run
Really trying to find a way out of sight was a challenge.
The parkour was like a puzzle, find your way to the top.
The assassinations, viewpoints, side objectives to get information about your target, this game at its core is the most assassins creed an assassins creed game gets
Who would also just not go to the bureau after the assassination just to keep this track going? I know I did.
God the memories of this game....best chase music ever - I felt like I could do anything and make the quickest and most exhilarating decisions that made this game feel so real!

-"Yeah nice, ahead of its time, nice, smooth gameplay, the future installments had a good base, nice"
Me after killing the first target and this music kicks in:
-'"WTF IS HAPPENING RUUUUUUN"
Me after escaping after multiple retries:
-"AC1 is far superior than any of its future installments"
I just finished the game to 100% completion. I'm afraid I have to agree with you.

definitely the best game about the Assassin brotherhood.. other games were awesome, but this game makes you feel like a true hashashin, and the part of a brotherhood, that aims for something greater than your individual interests which is lacking in ALL the subsequent sequels.
And Altair > everybody
Well someone knows about them

I deleted it to free some storage for ac2 but now imma get it back
While I enjoyed the Ezio trilogy and Assassin's Creed III and how mechanics were more fleshed out, this game had a mildly ethereal dreamlike feel to it that all other titles are missing.
God daaaamn....Perfect! This one is the essence of being an assassin! Whenever this kicked in, be it in a boss fight or after an assasination my blood pressure rose. Altair, definition of an assassin, the original! :D
Old AC games have that Islam and Christianity theme to it
Newer games are thor and loki garbage
Guys, I have an insane theory that might be too good to be true.
Notice how Ubisoft has been remastering every AC game that was on 7th gen consoles? From the Ezio trilogy, Rogue, and now AC3 coming on March. There HAS to be a reason to why they’re doing this. I think they’re saving AC1 as the best for last because they might be *REMAKING* it from scratch, not just remastering it. That HAS to be the reason!
No developer is in the business of redoing a previously released game from scratch.
@saganist DOOM, Wolfenstein. Doom remakes managed to be better than the originals!
@saganist Hi fellow Koala
@@tankdogization clearly you haven't heard of re1 re2 re3 crash bandicoot.

I have only played the first 4 games so far and I miss the escapes we had on ac 1, not only the music but it made me really feel we just killed someone important, everyone wants your head and you gotta hide and go somewhere else until things cool down
i agree :)
If you listen to AC2’s carriage chase theme it’s pretty good.
Remember when Assassin's Creed was about being forced to live in a dream world?
Well...
@@batdog12100 The Templars wanted peace, *BY CONTROLLING PEOPLE AND ROBBING THEM OF THEIR FREE WILL*
@@SatyamX9 *HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!*
"By ... robbing them of their free will"
"Free Will"
What exactly is "Free Will"
Many people living in a democracy, like myself, like to think that we are "free". But is that the case? No. We've got rules, laws, mandatory tasks and responsibilities, like taxes.
(I could go one and one, if you'd like, but I'll keep it as short as possible in this reply)
But is it a bad thing, that we arn't "Free"
No.
@Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad *Hahahahahahaha!*
"They hated religious people"
It seems like you missed the point of the games. I recommend you replay 1, revelations and 3.
The Templars, or atleast the Templar cause in general has nothing against the concept of religion. (I'm revering towards the Assassin's Creed's Templars. Not to the ones from our history books.)
Well... they might hate the devision, caused by the excistence of various religions. Since they strife for union and order.
But you get my point, don't you?
Neither the Assassin's nor Templars are holy saints. They are both groups that kill for their ideologies in order to reach the noble point of peace.
Let's take AC1:
AC 1's story was one about indoctrination.
"What sorcery is this!?" Theme song
Assassins Creed in a nutshell
-Go to the new part of a city
-Go to Assassins Bureau
-Gather some information about the Templar target
-Grab the feather
-Assassinate the Templar
-Talk with the target after you assassinate them and paint the feather with their blood
-*RUN*
-Bring the feather
-Earn a new weapon
(Repeat this for 8 more times)
that is assassins creed, maybe its a repetetive but they can do something to fix that easily, look at these new acs all of them are not even close to ac1 masterpiece.
turn off minimap and get a whole new experience. dialogue gives enough info to get an immersive gameplay.
You must be one of those fuckbois that don't even know there were air assassinations in AC1. I much prefer a consistent, if a little repetitive, investigation mission around the targets you are about to murder than being drop on a huge fuckoff map with millions of worthless collectibles with a generic villain.
