I love your videos!! Could you do one for people who can’t choose their schedule? Maybe how to apply your tips when you can’t control your work hours, or when you only have half an hour to eat and can’t relax anymore until you get home at night. I don’t even relax in lunch break because I have to eat with other people and as an introvert that drains me. And then when I get home I have to take care of stuff at home like cleaning, cooking, laundry, organizing, etc. I also can’t do the pomodoro technique at work, I just can’t take those breaks. Any tips on how to balance that? And how to do restorative tasks when you don’t have days off? I work two jobs and I used to have only Sunday mornings off but I had to catch up with laundry and cleaning. Maybe you have some tips for how to apply all this with less flexibility? Thank you!! I love your videos 🥰

Planning accommodations for both your aspirational self and your potato self is so important. Another thing I've found is how common to imagine an impossible aspirational self, which ends up being self-sabotaging. For example, my clients tend to have an aspire toward being a person who is able bodied when they actually have chronic illnesses and disabilities. Measuring themselves against an able-bodied aspiration holds them back from being their ACTUAL best selves. Great video as always. Thank you!

@Sophie S 100% agreed. I‘ve lived and worked in several countries and this is not just a US issue for sure - although you‘re right that the lack of social security is particularly difficult in the USA. Although “productivity gurus“ all seem to fall into this trap that you mentioned, at least the ones that I‘ve been watching - which doesn’t mean their content is not useful, but it’s definitely less relatable to the “average joe“ per se.

This video is worth it but only for an entrepreneur or a creator. As an average job working person mostly your boss decides what you have to do that day, They don't think about your energy level or what shit happening in your life. How much you feel low if your boss wants it immediately you have to do it. That why most people pissed off after their job and find escape after job hours in alcohol or smoke.. I wish every company consider this. Nice video.

I love the idea of scheduling high and low energy tasks according to your energy levels in a day and to make sure to do some energizing tasks as well - but: I have absolutely no power to decide what I want to work on next in my job. As that should be the case for many poople, maybe you could consider to give some advice for people who cannot structure their own work day?

GREAT VIDEO MICHELLE!!! YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!! I NEED TO SPEND TIME READING MY CAR & TRUCK MAGAZINES. SPEND TIME MAKING UPGRADES TO MY NISSAN FRONTIER. SO I WILL LOVE LIFE AGAIN. AND WORK ON MY BUSSINESS. OTHERWISE I WORK MY LIFE AWAY. WITH NO RESULTS AND NO MOTIVATION. JUST WORK AND SLEEP. HOW DULL IS THAT LIFE. I AM CREATED FOR SO MUCH MORE!!!

This really resonated with me. I'm self employed and work from home, which is such a privileged position to be in but it does mean that you have to be entirely self motivated; apart from client deadlines there is very little external accountability. My sleep and energy levels are soooo up and down at the minute. Previously I would have got up later than I planned because I had a crap night's sleep and procrastinate until it was to late to get anything done without working late and risking another crap night of sleep. Now on days like this I just do *something* because something, no matter how small, is better than nothing and gets me a tiny step closer to where I need to be.
This whole video is full of great advice and I love the idea of the if-then approach, as well as batching tasks by energy levels. Great advice 👍🏻

Hi! I love this topic, it's something that I need to figure out a little more in my life. I honestly feel like I'm really tired most of the time, and it's pretty hit or miss on if doing something "productive" will strain me further or help energize me, I've been having some trouble figuring out which tasks do what for me. I'll be sure to watch the "when" video you linked, I think that will help me think this through!

What do you advice for people that have a couple of days of low energy tasks followed by many days with high energy tasks? Because of nature of the projects, I can't change that structure. Sure, there are some low energy task during high energy fases, but not that many. And after 6 hours I just can't think anymore, but I have no 2 hours of low energy task
