Oh I love the contrast between Bdubs panicking with team red, and the rest of them relaxing together. Like, it really shows that they are CONFIDENT in their assessment of the situation, and Bdubs is just desperately clinging to the hope that Etho loves him. Like, the cinematic difference between them is AMAZING!
the sad thing is...even if Etho gave him a life before he died he still would've been red.

It's sad that both of them died for nothing,but it is quite dramatic and i love that
Its quite hilarious that all of Lizzie's deaths were for nth tho. Cuz her first death she would've survived if she hadn't eaten a second before, her second and third deaths were for nth cuz both Joel and Jimmy were already on red so even if they hadn't killed anyone it would've been fine, and her last death was bdubs.

I love how you transitioned the shots from the actual scene with the dialogue to Bdubs's death, it makes it so much more painful! Fun!
I'm also an absolute fan of how you made the others in the background just doing something. Like they're not just standing there, but doing other little actions, makes it feel more natural

This is beautiful. ''He Loves Me'' is most definitely my favorite scene from the whole of Last Life (after maybe the ''We Can Still Be Friends'' one), and this is saying a lot because I am seriously obsessed with Last Life. The execution of this scene was just perfect.

I have made this point in a few replies, but I thought I would leave it here, Bdubs's death was impactful on either side of the battle, for Etho he lost the one person he cared about, for the reds it was vengeance for Grian, for Tango, for Lizzie, all those that Bdubs killed, constantly shifting between red and yellow, it was the death that was heard around the server, Grian got what he had wanted from week 1 and Tango got what he wanted since the week before, Bdubs was the only person that Etho actually cared about on the server, he only cared about the BE in BEST, he never gave Skizz a life, he made Tango give up all his lives (given he only made Tango take Bdubs off red, but he wanted to the first time Bdubs went red as well) all that remains of BEST now is E and T, separated by lives, each one not really caring about the other
I found like five of these kinds of things and everytime I hear Bdubs say “he loves me” my heart shatters just a bit more
I feel like the way Bdubs went out was the saddest :(
The static is such a nice touch but my favorite part is that last shot(also I loooove how you highlighted the laughter at Bdubs claiming the wither, because he wasn’t lying and you really made their disbelief palpable, great job!!). The reds didn’t know it, and maybe the greens(plus Scott lol) don’t know it either, but Etho DOES love Bdubs, and Bdubs knew it too-even if there might have been nervous doubts in his mind while with the reds. The last shot could mean multiple things.
On the one hand it could be the red of the message reflecting in his eyes, which plays into guilt. On the other hand, which I like more and find more compelling, I think that is is a juxtaposition to his Green, because Etho has always been Green during LL, but now? Now he may as well be red, because he is OUT FOR BLOOD. Green or not, for Etho, it’s Red time. It’s time for justice.
I love your style. Especially the scene when Etho turned around to see the death of Bdubs, the silent drama and pain, oh I'm crying. Great animatic!

I have been haunted by the somber "He loves me" for a week and a half and I don't think it will ever go away. I have watched this four times now and it doesn't hurt any less.
This scene and Grian's death to the first time being red are the two most impactful moments on this SMP at the moment for me.

DAMN this is so good. This moment has been living in my head rent free since the episode came out and you visualized it so damn good. The art style is perfection, the expressions are painfully accurate, even the poses add so much personality!! Ahhhhhh the etho/bdubs combo gives me so much angst

And then of course this scene, bdubs' pants as he runs back to etho, the look of sadness as etho realizes, and the drops of water

Why did bdubs even kill lizzie??
BDubs made a deal with Etho. The deal was if B Dubs kills a red name then Etho would give B Dubs a life so he would no longer be a red name and they can be allies again. Grian killed BDubs before he could make it back to tell Etho that he was the one that killed Lizzie.
