Games need casuals. Very few games survive on only hardcore players. Also casuals can become fans and grow the community even further. Not that they're doing an awesome job, but a balance is needed.
@@coelholukas I mostly agree, but what T17 mainly failed to do is capitalize on the very active and passionate comp scene when it wasn't too late (around 2022) to try & fix their game. When the new CM arrived (can't remember her name) a whole section was created on the seasonal discord with reps from all the teams who gave them free feedback and advice, in the most synthetic and useful way. All this work simply led to nothing in the end...
My biggest issue i’m running into lately are teammates that refuse to cooperate. When I started playing most of the team/squad would work together. Now no one seems to listen and plays like it’s battlefield.
I will tell you right now if this game dies anytime soon I'm going to be so sad. I didn't hear about this game until January this year and I've played it constantly. Grinded classes, made multiple friends, and just had such a good time on this game. I've been playing video games since early 2000s and this is easily my favorite game ever. It came to me at a time where I almost gave up on playing games. Please everybody come together. Get your friends to play this and get the word out about how good a game it is. We cannot lose this game. At least I can't.

@KAISERMtbb keep doing what you're doing. The recent wave back around new year of game pass players I heard had a bad effect on this game but I came to this game at like the same time. Started in January and I think that's when the game pass players came around if I remember right. I'm on ps5
problem is squad 44 feels old and overall bad menu and what not + bad fps with no european servers when i played game but i will say it does have good content but mainly UI and menu need rework to modern it up

I really hope Squad44 will fix their performance and they gain a bigger player base... HLL needs some healthy competition. They don´t even try anymore.

I've had great fun on HLL over the last couple years but the game engine is janky and still full of bugs 4 years after release, T17 have proven they have ZERO passion for the project, I knew things looked bleak back when they released that horrible Trailer and the whole running speed thing but I gave them a pass thinking "they're just new to the project they will find their feet" .. it is now abundantly obvious to me that they have no care for the game or community beyond just milking it for as much as they can before they cut their losses. I literally CANNOT wait for the next shooter that capitalises on the niche that HLL currently is occupying and I will jump ship the second that option shows itself to be viable. T17 HAVE DONE NOTHING TO EARN ANY OF OUR LOYALTY

QC and QA are probably the problem, not because they are no good, but because they are not allowed to do their jobs - and by this I mean not given enough time. Some product owner decided it was time to release and off it went.
Omg the UI is horrible now. I have to click so much just to even see what loadout I’m running, it is so bad. and I can’t even leave the server after around ends unless I go into my personal stats from the scoreboard. This is on console btw if that means anything. I love this game and I’m really nervous that after this years roadmap that they’re going to abandon it for the rumoured new game that will be modern setting and running on Unreal 5. while I’m all for a game just like HLL but modern, I really want this game to expand and thrive into the next several years. If it turns into yet another Battlefield 5 I’m gonna be so heartbroken. HLL needs more eastern front and ideally an entire pacific theatre. After 5 years of the game being out I honestly doubt it. And it makes me fucking mad cuz I just got this game in January.

I switched to Squad 44 beforehand. Just cause they released the new offensive game mode. Benefits is that Its more immersive and I don't have to worry about my exp when I leave if I don't have time to finish the match. The dlc didn't bother me at all btw. I didn't buy it because it wasn't appealing to me. Didn't even know they were restricted to maps. I get why it costs so much, usually cosmetic dlc was 5 dollars but this one comes 3 or 4 so I guess that's why it's up there.
yeah it is nice that u have everything from the get go :D nah the dlc price is insane imo bc hairstyles which do not even look good should not bump up the price …. but that is my opinion :D
1900 hrs on HLL .. These developers have clearly displayed a lack of interest in attracting a group of players who are into the hardcore tactical shooter genre, this is made even more evident by their recent "update" (glorified patch) and having the balls to charge 12USD for a DLC cosmetic dump only to be locked to one map. HLL has yet to introduce a new game mode or anything ground reaking other than Skirmish which only serves as more proof for their prioritization for a more casual apporach to HLL. Squad 44 beat HLL to the punch with the new frontline mode which is awesome and HLL planned a very similar mode for U15 but scrapped it and seem more keen on this whole budget skirmish mode garbage which gets boring VERY quickly. Sidenote: Army Men Major Malfunction was made under T17 and it was rated as the absolute worst game of the series and this was waaay back in the day and serves as a small reference to their shity quality control.

T17 are a trash developer with a poor reputation, and zero passion, I'm sure there are decent workers who want to make a difference working for them but as a whole the company allows for ZERO passion and just wants to churn out crap for quick money grabs. It's a shame, but its time to see the situation for what it is, do not give them a cent more, do not give them any more benefit of the doubt, they've shown their true colours. It's time to get ready for the next game to come out that competes with the same space that HLL occupies then jump ship the second the competing Devs show more passion and capability.
Remember that the studio is cover 6 and believe part of the problem is that origins of the game made by BM is poorly coded as even BM had trouble getting bug free patches out and it just took then longer
I will never understand the vitriol for BM after seeing the amount of major bugs T17 has managed to let into many of their updates. Let's go down the list of the more high profile ones: Update 13.5: Bolt Action reload bug that was not fixed until Update 14, almost 2 months later Update 14: I really don't need to say much here, British released in a state that was not fixed for over half a year, run speed change that divided the community that took 2-3 months to revert, and even then it wasn't reverted to its previous value, with T17 lying about this openly. Update 14.1, 14.2, and 14.3: Literally just to attempt to fix the above problems. I'd argue these are just a continuation of update 14. Update 14.4: Mantling changes that now occasionally make your character shake until you stop moving. Still not fixed. Update 14.5, 14.6, and 14.7: Nothing major I can remember. Not much here. Update 14.8: Not a bug but the introduction of Skirmish and one of the most apparent wastes of development time and effort from T17. And Update 15 and 15.1 which you already mentioned in your video. T17 has a massive track record of poor QA from day one. The studio they opened specifically to develop HLL, Cover Six, no longer exists and now the game is literally being developed by contract workers over at Expression. Been a while since I have just been utterly demoralized to play HLL, I sincerely don't think the free work we could give them at this point.

this game simply needs a second game mode as "Battlefield Mode". without the need to communicate. like it was in BF 3 and 4. with a simplified squad system. this would increase the player base. so a bf shooter mode and a hardcore mode like the current one.

I really hope HLL can get their act together. For me, a console player, HLL fills the niche no other game has or seemingly can. I can’t just go play Squad 44 or something else. I really hope they can give us good finished content soon.
They don’t seem to care about accuracy either. There’s peadot at stalingrad and a tiger at el-alemain also. The stg 44 and gewher 43 are also available at Stalingrad.
I'm not overly bothered about the Tiger at El-Alamein as Tiger tanks were present in North Africa and it's not exactly taking huge liberties plus as Kaiser said, you need to balance things.

I see this as the beginning of the end for HLL. People had doubts when T17 took over but gave them a chance. This update shows they’re not serious about improving it, only milking it. I have stopped playing. I’ve gone back to Post Scriptum (squad 44).
Honestly I understand the money thing…..but a new map and the game looks great I also enjoy the the fact that they make changes to the mistakes and the loadout menu is great caz u can change your uniform and weapons clock of a button before the match starts

After the failed trailer (german op) the game is a sinking ship. It's clear the new handful devs don't have a clue what this game is about and pretty sure they don't really play it self (run speed update).
@@KAISERMtbb The run speed meant all the timings were screwed up for the way Spawn point timings and key locations on maps were designed. It also meant Satchel players could easily keep up with tanks 🤨, and the dolphin diving animation was easily abuseable until they finally fixed it all. They just don't bother thinking anything through and have no quality control. The new menus in the recent update are bugged too, they display Text saying "Loadout" but it's all your appearance settings, and it's also more difficult to tell at a glance which Loadout you're running because it defaults to showing your cosmetics, even when you get it showing the correct thing the new loadouts UI gives you less useful information to see at a glance.. literally not a single person asked for a half-assed update to the UI and yet hear we are. Honestly F#@k T17
A tale as old as time. A company buys a game that was made for a very specific tiny audience and is quite successful at it, with the sole goal of making the game sell as many copies as possible in order to justify their purchase. What a wild twist. KSP 2 is over here dying as an example of another niche game. If HLL wasn't as good as it was they wouldnt even be trying to monetize it.
Battle grounds I really want to see represented in Hell Let Loose: Arnhem Leningrad Dunkirk Monte Cassino Brody Berlin Moscow If we only get one, Arnhem is the one I want most. Its an urban battle ground, which is lacking from the British maps. It would be nice to finally get a map where those drum mag thompsons can actually shine.

Almost 900h in and I gave up on this game. Ther hasn't been a significant update since the release of the Brits. Juast shitty night maps and a game mode thet no one cares about. It looks like the game will die in the near future.
1600 hours in HLL. It would be nice if Team17 start to communicate with experienced clans which runs servers and paying them from own pockets. Especially about new maps,content and shitty UI updates like this one.

I play some battles after 1 year when I play last. Situation with player base is terrible. No one talking with MIC. Only some people in battle know what doing. No one defend point. Everyone rush to attack and this makes playing very hard and not enjoyable for me. Many times I see squads with no Squad leader. I dont know If I have only terrible choice of map and time of playing, but before is situation in game better. I hope in future is better, because I like this game. I play it from start long ago and I have about 800 hours or more.
Arrowhead studios, the makers of Helldivers, are a shining example of how to listen to your community and then in turn reward them with what they’re asking for. You curate so much respect and love when you do this simple action and you create a win / win for everyone. Not a single atom has been split.
Seems like T17 really doesn't give a crap and are also incompetent. It's sad because HLL is a great game and has a lot more potential. I've only been playing for about a month or so. From what I'm hearing and seeing, I doubt there will ever be a sequel, but I hope someone will take the foundation that was built and improved it with a new game on UE5 with destructible terrain, more weapons and content, and less bugs.

Sad truth is T17 doesn't have the experience nor the technical knowledge about these kind of games. Whatever they are shitting out as updates atm are unfinished content that Black Matter was working on when they sold the game & these guys have no clue to finish even that content properly without breaking the game. It's just a bunch of noob moba games developers with no idea about FPS games who saw an opportunity with HLL to make some easy money. These kind of people rarely learn so it's either they gonna break the game upto a point it's unplayable or they gonna get fed up & just give up cause this game is way over their heads...

I hate this game now. First off the new hedges suck. I can't shoot through the holes I see, well, some I can, some I can't. Nothing more frustrating to give up my position for a kill and I'm denied the kill shooting at an invisible wall and my bullets are bouncing off in my face. The new presets, clothing and weapons selection is a complete failure. Even the new stupid sound effect when you're clicking and moving the mouse around. I've gotten vehicles stuck more than ever. Meh, back to Rust.
Voip not working, almost no servers in list (all favourites gone), preset reset - those are my newest bugs and I'm not alone (I've tried almost anything to fix them).. Why wait until they maybe fix them in the future? I quit! I've given them a year or more to fix gamebreaking bugs that are well reported by me and many others. Updates bring dusk and night variants and uneccesary changes, not even mentioning core issues with the game. Why would it suddenly get better? I feel they've shown their true colors.. sigh

you can not really compare squad to hll , they play in a different era but squad is a millsim and hll is a casual hardcore shooter….. that is a huge difference
I can see the market space for both games. I enjoy Squad 44 more but HLL isn't bad. The only major gripe I have with HLL is the running animation or "feeling". It makes it seem as though the soldier is running through heavy whipped cream or custard. It's so bizarre.

people need to stop coping and saying the game is fine and nothing is wrong, the game is becoming increasingly stale and content updates are mid at best. when most of the new updates bring no gameplay/feature changes and rather just maps which arent even accepted by the community its not great, most new maps arent featured in community servers so after a few weeks of an update all the servers return to the same 6 old maps 24/7...
The whole update was just a cash grab that broke things. The whole redesign of the interface made things slower to access and is purely for pushing informs instead of loadout. There is no interest in fixing basic game mechanics like MG mounting or map interface glitches which exist… continuously, every time, for years. They’re just milking a dying game.

T17 are a joke, and have scared off a huge portion of the community that made HLL worth playing in the first place, in a game that requires large scale coordination and a decent understanding of Strategy/Tactics it quickly becomes mindless casual crap when only 5% of the OG player base are left to try to teach the remaining players and they get burned out quickly

Bought the game a few weeks ago played 56 hours then deleted German guns are horrible if your the Germans you are at a immediate disadvantage games a damn walking sim just to get shot by a ghost wait 45 seconds then rinse and repeat and the xp is horrible it’s impossible to rank up classes

I didn't buy it because it wasn't appealing to me. Didn't even know they were restricted to maps. I get why it costs so much, usually cosmetic dlc was 5 dollars but this one comes 3 or 4 so I guess that's why it's up there.

1900 hrs on HLL
.. These developers have clearly displayed a lack of interest in attracting a group of players who are into the hardcore tactical shooter genre, this is made even more evident by their recent "update" (glorified patch) and having the balls to charge 12USD for a DLC cosmetic dump only to be locked to one map. HLL has yet to introduce a new game mode or anything ground reaking other than Skirmish which only serves as more proof for their prioritization for a more casual apporach to HLL. Squad 44 beat HLL to the punch with the new frontline mode which is awesome and HLL planned a very similar mode for U15 but scrapped it and seem more keen on this whole budget skirmish mode garbage which gets boring VERY quickly.
Sidenote:
Army Men Major Malfunction was made under T17 and it was rated as the absolute worst game of the series and this was waaay back in the day and serves as a small reference to their shity quality control.

T17 are a trash developer with a poor reputation, and zero passion, I'm sure there are decent workers who want to make a difference working for them but as a whole the company allows for ZERO passion and just wants to churn out crap for quick money grabs. It's a shame, but its time to see the situation for what it is, do not give them a cent more, do not give them any more benefit of the doubt, they've shown their true colours. It's time to get ready for the next game to come out that competes with the same space that HLL occupies then jump ship the second the competing Devs show more passion and capability.
Remember that the studio is cover 6 and believe part of the problem is that origins of the game made by BM is poorly coded as even BM had trouble getting bug free patches out and it just took then longer

I will never understand the vitriol for BM after seeing the amount of major bugs T17 has managed to let into many of their updates. Let's go down the list of the more high profile ones:
Update 13.5: Bolt Action reload bug that was not fixed until Update 14, almost 2 months later
Update 14: I really don't need to say much here, British released in a state that was not fixed for over half a year, run speed change that divided the community that took 2-3 months to revert, and even then it wasn't reverted to its previous value, with T17 lying about this openly.
Update 14.1, 14.2, and 14.3: Literally just to attempt to fix the above problems. I'd argue these are just a continuation of update 14.
Update 14.4: Mantling changes that now occasionally make your character shake until you stop moving. Still not fixed.
Update 14.5, 14.6, and 14.7: Nothing major I can remember. Not much here.
Update 14.8: Not a bug but the introduction of Skirmish and one of the most apparent wastes of development time and effort from T17.
And Update 15 and 15.1 which you already mentioned in your video.
T17 has a massive track record of poor QA from day one. The studio they opened specifically to develop HLL, Cover Six, no longer exists and now the game is literally being developed by contract workers over at Expression.
Been a while since I have just been utterly demoralized to play HLL, I sincerely don't think the free work we could give them at this point.

this game simply needs a second game mode as "Battlefield Mode". without the need to communicate. like it was in BF 3 and 4. with a simplified squad system. this would increase the player base.
so a bf shooter mode and a hardcore mode like the current one.

It's the same every game and gets bland very quickly. Squad44's tank system is a lot better IMO. So I'd like to see some changes down the road on that.

Sorry. Bought Squad 44 yesterday.
I see this as the beginning of the end for HLL. People had doubts when T17 took over but gave them a chance. This update shows they’re not serious about improving it, only milking it. I have stopped playing. I’ve gone back to Post Scriptum (squad 44).

Honestly I understand the money thing…..but a new map and the game looks great I also enjoy the the fact that they make changes to the mistakes and the loadout menu is great caz u can change your uniform and weapons clock of a button before the match starts
there is no new map in this update and the ui is broken the guns should be at the start when u come into a squad thats why loadout stands there ....

After the failed trailer (german op) the game is a sinking ship. It's clear the new handful devs don't have a clue what this game is about and pretty sure they don't really play it self (run speed update).
i liked the run speed but obv i can see why it was bad for most new players…. but that is my personal opinion and everyone can disagree with it :D
@@KAISERMtbb The run speed meant all the timings were screwed up for the way Spawn point timings and key locations on maps were designed. It also meant Satchel players could easily keep up with tanks 🤨, and the dolphin diving animation was easily abuseable until they finally fixed it all. They just don't bother thinking anything through and have no quality control.
The new menus in the recent update are bugged too, they display Text saying "Loadout" but it's all your appearance settings, and it's also more difficult to tell at a glance which Loadout you're running because it defaults to showing your cosmetics, even when you get it showing the correct thing the new loadouts UI gives you less useful information to see at a glance.. literally not a single person asked for a half-assed update to the UI and yet hear we are. Honestly F#@k T17
There is no longer a QA team, it was sacked a few months ago. The QA are the players at the moment, once the update has been sent.

What a wild twist. KSP 2 is over here dying as an example of another niche game. If HLL wasn't as good as it was they wouldnt even be trying to monetize it.

If we only get one, Arnhem is the one I want most. Its an urban battle ground, which is lacking from the British maps. It would be nice to finally get a map where those drum mag thompsons can actually shine.

Almost 900h in and I gave up on this game. Ther hasn't been a significant update since the release of the Brits. Juast shitty night maps and a game mode thet no one cares about. It looks like the game will die in the near future.

Then they started a goFund me with a goal of 2 MILLION DOLLARS to make Heroes and Generales 2 . Most obvious cash grab but still people donated and in 2023 they shut the game and ran with the money . The game WAS SOO FUN like HLL but more arcady . You have ressources generals send them and the players can spawn transport trucks AA guns It had planes that you can control tanks cars with the MGs mounted not limited by the period so any WW2 gun was available .

I play some battles after 1 year when I play last. Situation with player base is terrible. No one talking with MIC. Only some people in battle know what doing. No one defend point. Everyone rush to attack and this makes playing very hard and not enjoyable for me. Many times I see squads with no Squad leader. I dont know If I have only terrible choice of map and time of playing, but before is situation in game better. I hope in future is better, because I like this game. I play it from start long ago and I have about 800 hours or more.

Seems like T17 really doesn't give a crap and are also incompetent. It's sad because HLL is a great game and has a lot more potential. I've only been playing for about a month or so. From what I'm hearing and seeing, I doubt there will ever be a sequel, but I hope someone will take the foundation that was built and improved it with a new game on UE5 with destructible terrain, more weapons and content, and less bugs.

Sad truth is T17 doesn't have the experience nor the technical knowledge about these kind of games. Whatever they are shitting out as updates atm are unfinished content that Black Matter was working on when they sold the game & these guys have no clue to finish even that content properly without breaking the game. It's just a bunch of noob moba games developers with no idea about FPS games who saw an opportunity with HLL to make some easy money. These kind of people rarely learn so it's either they gonna break the game upto a point it's unplayable or they gonna get fed up & just give up cause this game is way over their heads...

I hate this game now. First off the new hedges suck. I can't shoot through the holes I see, well, some I can, some I can't. Nothing more frustrating to give up my position for a kill and I'm denied the kill shooting at an invisible wall and my bullets are bouncing off in my face. The new presets, clothing and weapons selection is a complete failure. Even the new stupid sound effect when you're clicking and moving the mouse around. I've gotten vehicles stuck more than ever. Meh, back to Rust.

Voip not working, almost no servers in list (all favourites gone), preset reset - those are my newest bugs and I'm not alone (I've tried almost anything to fix them).. Why wait until they maybe fix them in the future? I quit! I've given them a year or more to fix gamebreaking bugs that are well reported by me and many others. Updates bring dusk and night variants and uneccesary changes, not even mentioning core issues with the game. Why would it suddenly get better? I feel they've shown their true colors.. sigh
yeah somewhat feels that way but when everyone is giving up there is really no hope left :(

I can see the market space for both games. I enjoy Squad 44 more but HLL isn't bad. The only major gripe I have with HLL is the running animation or "feeling". It makes it seem as though the soldier is running through heavy whipped cream or custard. It's so bizarre.

people need to stop coping and saying the game is fine and nothing is wrong, the game is becoming increasingly stale and content updates are mid at best. when most of the new updates bring no gameplay/feature changes and rather just maps which arent even accepted by the community its not great, most new maps arent featured in community servers so after a few weeks of an update all the servers return to the same 6 old maps 24/7...

The whole update was just a cash grab that broke things. The whole redesign of the interface made things slower to access and is purely for pushing informs instead of loadout.
There is no interest in fixing basic game mechanics like MG mounting or map interface glitches which exist… continuously, every time, for years.

Couldn’t be further from the truth. This game needs to die so that something else can replace it. The devs have consistently disregarded the community and disregarded the loyal fan base. HLL fans deserve a better game.

Reward the Dev Studios you see putting out meaningful work, and with respectable business practices, reject those who aim to take as much as they can/cutting corners/firing staff to cut costs short term. T17 are a joke, and have scared off a huge portion of the community that made HLL worth playing in the first place, in a game that requires large scale coordination and a decent understanding of Strategy/Tactics it quickly becomes mindless casual crap when only 5% of the OG player base are left to try to teach the remaining players and they get burned out quickly
