I feel like many people just miss these good games because they often just disregard licensed games when making any top 10 lists for a console. Everytime I see a top 10 GBA games, it's always the same Mario's and Zelda's showing up. I'm glad you made this video. I especially love Ninja Five-O and also Seed Battle Assault.
For me that's Dragon Ball Advance Adventure, but Astro Boy is definitely up there in my own little handful of favorites. I feel like it's been pretty well known as a GBA great for a while now too. Definitely a gem, but not exactly a hidden one of you've been a GBA fan for a while
Drill Dozer is so unique and awesome, everybody should play. Also there is a rhythm game called "Maestro Jump in Music" which is the only rhythm game I liked playing.
@@IbanBan27 for real? PSP was, for years, the best portable emulator. It grabbed basically everything that came before GBA (never ran N64 very well tho)
If you love both OG1 and 2 then make sure to check out Original Generations Gaiden on the PS2, a remake of both games that brings it up to the standards of the console SRW games. The game never released outside of Japan but there is a fan translation that fully translates the game. I'm pretty sure Ibanban already featured the game in his PS2 fan translations video.
Man I love and miss the GBA so much. It was really just a different console in its games and vibe compared to the DS and PSP. There are so many great games mentioned here and so many that haven't been either even if we skip the Mario/Zelda ones. And more importantly, I loved how almost every game had a demake on it and they were run and different experiences that kept the soul of the original game intact
X2 Wolverine revenge was the game I got with my red GBA spa back in middle school. Lol I had to keep watching the video after you mentioned it. I absolutely loved it and played it for years after I got it
There were definitely some fun looking goodies on here I'd never heard of for my favorite classic handheld. That X-Men game, and Justiriser look pretty sweet, I love a good beat 'em up. The Hajime no Ippo game looks pretty sweet too, that art is just gorgeous.
If you like Zoids Legacy or Fist of Mars, absolutely grab any of the GBA-era Super Robot Wars/Super Robot Taisen games. There's six of them: Advance, Reversal, Destiny, Judgment, Original Generation and Original Generation 2. OG 1 and 2 were officially translated, Reversal has a fan-translated menu and Judgment has a fully fan-translated version. Also, Gundam SEED: Battle Assault has a Japanese-only sequel, Gundam SEED Destiny. Uses the same engine, but expands the character roster.
Yep, I also really love the anime Law of Ueki, I first watched it when I was still in elementary school when it aired on a local TV channel around 2007/08.
Golden Sun 1 & 2 I still replay over n over decades later. Graphics super impressive for GBA console, great storyline, long adventures, etc. I literally bought an AYN Odin just to mainly play GS when I can play PS2, PS1, GameCube, N64, PSP, etc. all on that 1 console. That's how much I love Golden Sun series 🗣️🗣️💯
I also really like Golden Sun games on GBA, it's just that I'm a little disappointed with the GS Dark Dawn on NDS which is not very interesting for me.
@IbanBan27 EXACTLY!!! That's the reason I replay GS 1 & 2 on GBA only!!! That NDS version really is disappointing. Imo, they should've left the graphics the same. I didn't like the upgrade or story. Sometimes lightning in a bottle should stay that way
I also recommend Godzilla Destroy All Monsters. I expected nothing but its a very fun version of some top down Arcade game (which is well known but I cant find the title since google friggin sucks these days). I'd even say its better than the 3D Destroy All Monsters games.
Personally I love the SRW series and the 2 OG that came overseas was the first I got into playing all of them Also Justiriser reminded me of the snes MMPR usa games. Even the giant robot battle. And Drill Dozer is amazing. One of the gba games I love playing again and again. Also shaman king Castlevania like games should be on the list. They are also good
ZOIDS was the reason i got back into GBA, the saga series is awesome. Also i prefer the sequel to Gundam seed battle assault, has a bigger roster and if you beat the game you can even unlock the full first game.
Strange, Summon night Swordcraft Story 1, 2 and 3 not on the list 🤔 I remember when I had the GBA as a kid and I asked everyone who owned the portable console, and they always said they had never heard of this spinoff of the series 😢
@@IbanBan27i remember buying my physical copy at walmart many moons ago, there was the GBA version AND the DS version. They are both the same but the DS version had more utility due to the extra screen
a few in here I'd never heard of. good list
Thanks bro 😁🤙

ninja five-o isn't a licensed game...
@@jclkaytwo I didn't say it was?
@realmarkinator then that explanation doesn't apply to every game on the list
@@jclkaytwo They don't need to though? I'm just saying that licensed games often get ignored in the first sentence, and my favorites on the second.
Drill Dozer was such a great game with fun puzzles and good soundtrack. The post-games puzzles are insanely hard though.
I remember playing it before, I felt like I didn't play it for that long but when I looked at the clock and 5 hours passed so quickly
Ending was hilarious. Just beat it today. 5/5 and I am not being generous
I’m so glad people acknowledge Lady Sia and Alien Hominid’s existence.
That Gundam fighting game looks really cool.
I play the game a lot when I was a kid..
It has a Japanese-only sequel, Gundam SEED Destiny, that uses the same engine and includes more characters
@@zultriova89same, now as an adult im building a gundam model kit and play it all the time
Astro Boy is no hidden gem. It's the reason you get a GBA
@@knuclear200x nah that would be pokemon or minish cap. AstroBoy is indeed an excellent game tho

Scurge, when i had it, kind of reminded me of metroid in a way. Loved it and wish i still had it. Such a good game
Super Robot Taisen OG 1 and 2 are kinda like hidden gems
Amazing pixel art and animations!
If you like that, try Battle Moon Wars. A doujin game for PC

Agreed, if I had to choose the best portable console, I would definitely choose the GBA without hesitation.
Zone of the Enders on gba was not that cool, but zone of Enders is really dope. Part 2 is bae
Drill Dozer is still my favorite GBA game to this day. I've played through it multiple times. It's so much fun!

beautiful memories bro, thanks for watching my video 🤟
Same. I played it when I was in middle school too.
The gba hidden gems line is awesome
The kururin game with the spinning thingy got my family obsessed
Kururin for me is a game that makes you addicted every time you complete a stage
Great list, ninja five o is so good
Thanks man 😁
Exactly the kind of games I was looking for. Thanks!
You're welcome bro 🫡
Dream Tag Tournament is quite fun, there's something about the music that gives it a 90s, SNES-like vibe, despite being a late GBA title.
Some games i know, some i never ever knew they existed. Thanks for the video.

listnya bagus, kebetulan udah main semua. terfavorit yg ueki sama gashbell
Gokil sih kalau udh mainin semua, ane juga demen sama game ueki karena dulu juga sempet nonton animenya di global tv,.
That game was law of ueki i really liked that anime it was good i feel like going back and watching it
Yep, I also really love the anime Law of Ueki, I first watched it when I was still in elementary school when it aired on a local TV channel around 2007/08.
Medal of Honor: Infiltrator is one that deserves to be on the list, its a great top down shooter that really has a good gameplay pace and mechanics

I really enjoyed the zoids and gundam seed 😍😍😍
That Genseijen Jusriders game looks really cool! Bruh🔥🔥🔥
Yep, the game is quite interesting where we will choose one of the three rangers available to play.
Highly recommend Kururin's Sequel, Kururin Paradise as well~! Very great levels and soundtrack! And it's bright~!
So many hidden gems and I haven't even heard of them. Gonna play that Silent Scope, Ecks vs Severs, Zone of the Enders and Zoid Legacy.
Zone of the Enders is a game that must be played, especially if you love tactical+mecha games other than the Super Robot and Gundam Wars series.

The game you’re thinking of is King of the Monsters. The Godzilla game was basically that game but better from what I hear.
Bro
I always watch videos with "Hidden Gems" and most of them don't appeal to me.
This is the first time I feel like playing these games.
Thanks
Thanks Bro, glad if you like the video list i made 👍👍👍
There is also Gundam Seed Destiny Battle Assault, with more mobile suits but was only for japan.
You barely need to read for a fighting game though.
It depends on the game, because sometimes there are things in the menu that are not understood.
Great list
Thanks bro 🫡

I think summon night is not included in the hidden gems category 🙏

Glad to see Ninja Five-O in there

I'm glad Astro boy was on this list
Can't go wrong with gba
Anyone notice ninja five o is rolling thunder mixed with bionic commando?
Fantastic 4 and F4 flame on are hidden gems

thats what i want to know.. some of the game seem like running on higher resolution.
*"Hidden gems"*
*Most of the games are from popular franchises*
*none of the actual hidden gems*

these dont really look like they are worth playing and some arent hidden
