The control at 6:00 isn't for cruise control, it's lane assistance. The steering wheel will vibrate when you leave a lane unintentionally. The button allows you to turn it on and off.
Just to be clear: I meant the button on the lower left. That's the lane assistance. The top left opens the booth, the big vertical button is for the fog light (I believe the rear one). The knob on the right allows you to change the brightness of the dashboard lighting. ;-) Nice video by the way!
10:28 watch the wing spoiler go up in slow motion set to .25 speed... i personally like it... but i would like it more if it were wider... but its a nice touch anyway so be it...
Nice video, just subscribed to your channel. It's a beautiful car, but the V8 will always be the best. I I am curious as to how many people will buy this over the V6 or the V8.
I really need you to review a 1st generation NSX, Toyota Celica GT Four and a 2008 Lotus Exige. Great video, as always (To looooong term, I'm planing to buy those cars, If things run well, it might take me 3-4 years to get them)
Thank you for your videos, always very exhaustive + loungy music.😁. My favourite one was the one with the Lexus LC500h when you had driven to London. I hope that you will go to Aston Martin for the next all new V8 Vantage, I am waiting for that GT for so long.
They have devalued their own car. If Jaguar wanted an entry level 4cyl sports car...then make one from scratch for that market!! There is now no exclusivity to an F-type, in 5 years on the second hand market every mucker is going to have one!
I've to disagree Matt Griffiths. I mean think about it. Lots of manufacturer do the same. Porsche have done the same thing in the past and currently too. 718 is a prime & not the only example. So as Audi with TT & many more. Just because Jaguar is doing that for the first time, doesn't mean it is going to devalue the car. Between a car that starts at $60K base won't be driven by everyone on the road. Wether used, it will still be exquisite.
@@zeeshanmbutt Couldn't agree more. I think these car manufacturers are also trying to make their sports cars more accessible to more people by providing more options. Not to mention that bigger engines cost higher taxes in some countries. The general people just don't see the business side of these things.
Do a testdrive in the V8 and you will change your opinion. The engine and the sound just give this car soooo much character and really make it special. Since 2 years, I always smile when starting the engine. No 4 cylinder could make me do this ;))
i'm sorry but the sound ruins this car for me for the same price i could buy a Nissan 370 that sounds great goes great and looks just as good (if not a bit different). i loved my 370 the only reason you'd buy one of these was if you wanted to look the part but didn't have enough for the v6 or v8 versions. look forward to the Porsche on the channel soon
I actually had a look at a new 370Z Nismo. Really interesting concept, but I couldn't commit. That's probably a fair comment, Nathan, other than how much these things cost. A fully spec'd car is still £60k+ Not long now until the reveal 01.11.2017 :)
im also looking at the nismo currently but id rather have something a little more special. TVR, lancia fulvia, M2, lotus elan +2, cobra replica etc have come up. still about 6 months until i commit to buying something (need to buy a garage first) . Anything else you think i should look at?
the problem with them is they are just slightly out of price range. im looking to spend no more than 20-25k on the car. the 370z i could get cheaper because of my relationship with my nissan garage and the m2 id possibly lease. all good suggestions though
Yeah, yet you seem to forget some of the fastest cars on the road are modded turbo 4 cylinders. Which can easily achieve 400 WHP w/ a turbo upgrade. Granted, I'd never spend 60k on a 4 cylinder. That's the true problem here.
Virtus Brædder Opstrup You're buying a sports car for its "performance," not "looks." People who buy cars based upon LOOKS are lacking in self-esteem. And that is just one way in which they seek to build their self-esteem, in hopes of feeling better about themselves.
Virtus Brædder Opstrup My friend, I do not have to be a professional to understand that that is exactly the case. What can the "looks" of a car do for a person, order than ATTRACT ATTENTION and make the owner FEEL GOOD, as a result? You can deny it all you wish, but that doesn't change the truth of the matter. And it's not my fault that the truth hurts!
Why do people seek attractive mates? I don't care how fast a car is if it looks like shit. I'll take a 2.0t F-Type over a 500hp Fiat Abarth anyday. Cars are an extension of a persons personality to an extent.
Lyle Hudson "Why do people seek attractive mates?" People do so, in general, because we have a natural tendency to appreciate "nice things." And that is also true with regards to CARS and just about all objects/things that we interact with. But, in addition to that, some people also seek attractive mates in order to gain acceptance and even popularity, especially amongst their peers. They look at it as a way to gain admiration and respect from others. And that is not good, because it suggests that they do not feel confident enough....they're not good enough. In other words, LOW SELF-ESTEEM.
Jaguar is doing everything possible to ruin the brand. in the past people bought jaguars - because they are jaguars. today, Im driving a jaguar and the only thing I hate - its a jaguar. cheaper cheaper cheaper, jaguar is turning from an luxury brand to volkswagen 2.0 sorry for bad english, not my main language
The problem is, I can get an much faster M2 (or 240i with all extras) for that money. Sure, the 2 series doesn't have the visual elegance of the F-Type, but I'm usually driving my car, not watching it. To anybody who knows a little about cars, you will look like a show-off with that engine.
I cant die without having one, its my dream car
Good luck, dude! I'd love a V6 S, too!
One of the best videos I have seen for potential f type buyers. The specs and options explained well.
Thanks!
That car is stunning ..inside and out
+Stevie Lowe Agreed
Ggf
Absolutely brilliant review, and like so many, my dream car.
Thanks!
Very nice color would love to find one in America like that
Every car manufacturer needs to give you the choice of a GPS screen that hides away when you don't need it.
Still my dream car...
The control at 6:00 isn't for cruise control, it's lane assistance. The steering wheel will vibrate when you leave a lane unintentionally. The button allows you to turn it on and off.
Thanks for the clarification!

Thanks! :)
Great vid and obviously the 2.0 doesn't have the great sound from the V6 or the V8 and the performance but it's definitely more comfortable
10:28 watch the wing spoiler go up in slow motion set to .25 speed... i personally like it... but i would like it more if it were wider... but its a nice touch anyway so be it...
It absolutely improves the push of the car, does that make sense?
Looks great, so long as you can live with being blown away by family saloons and hatchbacks.
Well, not in Portugal. A lot of A4, 3 Series and C Class, or even 5 Series and E Class with less than 200hp. So, no!
It's all about looks nothing to prove against boring looking cars 155mph enough for most lol
If jaguar comes out with an electric f type, I’m all in
I imagine they will at dome point. Porsche are electrifying the boxster and cayman range.
Nice video, just subscribed to your channel. It's a beautiful car, but the V8 will always be the best. I I am curious as to how many people will buy this over the V6 or the V8.
+Daniel Sadjadian Thanks and welcome to the channel :) Yes, it will be very interesting to see how this model does.

Really glad to hear you enjoyed that LC500h video! I will do my best to get time with the new Vantage when it comes out :)
Galaxy89cars 😊👍👍👍👍👍I enjoy the F type too anyway with the V6 engine, the 4 cyl doesn' t sound too bad I am surprised. Good night from Paris !
Might buy one
I like car that smooth design
excellent review
Thanks!
I love this jaguar but so expensive in USA. Is any way I could buy with same or cheaper. Or one more thing I like dark blue ( or white is a cheap)
I lived in USA California (north) I love the new car it costs so much and I love darker blue. Can you help find my dream car ,my last car too.
What do you need help with, Steve?
Great!☆
I'd honestly try to get one of these if they had a manual gearbox
Sierra Vichniassileff it’s heresy that a stick is not avail any more
spoiler looks great
This sounds like a public service announcement.
Is there an option to remove the middle o shit handle? That's the only part I don't like
I think it's structural unfortunately.

I’ve heard Aston will be putting a 4pot in the Vantage to...
There's only 3 grand difference to v6 so it's not a cheap choice ,it's running costs where this saves some people it's important.
Is it casian blue or blue fire
The raised wing looks like the trunk/boot is opened
A nice car, only trouble is you talk at 155mph.
+TheEddieoliver Apologies but I want to get as much information in as possible.
It's alright, carry on with the good work.
is it single or twin turbo
Single I think
How much in your country changed to dollars
Around $62000USD new/used
Which is better tho? Jaguar f type convertible or cayman boxter?
Reviews say both are brilliant, but Cayman is a little more composed.
AWD & Twin Turbos could reduce that 5.7 sec 0-62 for sure.
the question is how many potential v8 buyers will resign because there is a 'cheap' r4 version
I can't imagine many...
Pretty much said the same thing. I completely agree with you, the exclusivity of their own sports car is now gone.
Me
Fantastic thorough review - thank you
🙌
Which colour is this f type
Ultra blue
Francis Bourgeois secondary car account??
Nope, just someone else from England 🙄
What’s the point?
i dont need the sound i just want the car!!! :) sound to me is nice music and a beautiful women :)
Do a testdrive in the V8 and you will change your opinion.

Simon Unger V6 has just as nice of a sound as the V8. Many say better.
5.7? thats the new camrys 0-60
it's a 2.0 litre engine
Then go buy a Camry. I'll take the Jag.
i'm sorry but the sound ruins this car for me for the same price i could buy a Nissan 370 that sounds great goes great and looks just as good (if not a bit different). i loved my 370 the only reason you'd buy one of these was if you wanted to look the part but didn't have enough for the v6 or v8 versions.

+Nathan Guthrie 5.0 Jag XK R?
the 5.0 v8 version is much better in my opinion
It's a no for me
Too expensive. I will buy a kancil :)
$60,000 for a car that goes 0-60 in 5.4 seconds? You're joking, right?
Yeah, yet you seem to forget some of the fastest cars on the road are modded turbo 4 cylinders. Which can easily achieve 400 WHP w/ a turbo upgrade. Granted, I'd never spend 60k on a 4 cylinder. That's the true problem here.

BMW‘s are the ugliest cars in the world 😂😂😂

The 2.0 litre engine is not worth talking about.
Sounds horrible

Todestuete so every porsche boxter/cayman owner is a show off
