  • Smoother than last year , our bales are being made in this video and it’s a summary of how the much anticipated baling day went down, how much hay we have made and what to do with the bales now
    Thanks for watching 🧡

Your hay/haylege is all very natural and as such it is perhaps challenged a little more by the weather etc as opposed to throwing a lot of tillage or slurry on it. It would be interesting to if some soil samples of your land was compared to a more intensive set up. It’s good to see you and Nick with some well deserved sun on your backs.

    • @DaleFarm

7:08 jesus, you've gotta place those bales so they don't start rolling. i heard a story from where my grandparents lived that happened last year. a bale rolled at full speed between two neighboring houses, over a road and way down. luckily no harm was done, but imagine what could have happened. when the farmer was told, he turned the bales the other way so they couldn't roll. i can't believe that he didn't think of that in the first place. this was in norway, with far more slopy field than yours, and much bigger bales too. but from what i can see from the footage, the other bales were placed correctly.
