Absolutely great idea, mid bunk 1=2 bath, totally independent, get up, go to the washroom, back to bed, not disturbing the rest of the trailer! If you use as an office, just bring in a foldable table!
Agree. At that price you would think it would have some lights over the sink and a ceiling fan. I’m not a fan of this 5th wheel. Chairs with storage would have been nice too.
I think it would be cool to see a unit that utilizes the master bedroom upstairs as the bunkroom and then had a dedicated master in the back like you would see in a class C or A coach.
I kind of like the half bath in the bunk house. The only issue is that whoever sleeps up in the loft will need to walk through the kids bunk space to use that one or they get the privilege of using the main bathroom. I think they need to figure out how to make the mid bunk have 3 bunks inside it along with the half bath and skip the loft area which is open to the main space. That would just be a very enormous slide room. I guess they do that with the bunkhouse models in the back, but would be neat to see it in a midbunk model somehow.
Prime Time Sanibel 3902WB is basically the same. Also Cruiser South Fork 3780MB is the exact same as the Heartland. I love this floor plan. I a getting close to buying and this is the floor plan that I am hoping to get.
Very Nice. We just ordered a 2024 Coachmen Brookstone 398MBL with a GVWR of 15,500 which is very comparable to this unit. I am wondering if the Reese 16K Goose box would be safe to use at this GVWR or should I go with the 20K version. Love you vids.
I usually always like at least most of the RV’s that I watch on UA-cam. But I have to be honest, I don’t care for this one. Well the couch and the theater seats are ok along with the tv. But that’s it. I don’t like the peninsula in the kitchen, between that and the stove and refrigerator there’s hardly any space. They should have put in an island instead and placed that in a better spot. In the bunk room, the place where the tv is supposed to go is terrible. Basically the only way you would be able to watch it is with the door shut. When the door is open it’s behind the door. No storage in the bathroom. Im surprised because I almost always like the rv’s I’ve seen but I guess there’s a first time for everything. JD You did a great job with the video, as usual.
Comparing this to our Cougar 368mbi: 1) No pendant lighting over the peninsula and sink is a miss, IMO. 2) I prefer our island as it feels more spacious, but wish we had the bunk entry off the corridor for easy road access. 3) I dislike the sliding door covering the TV. A standard hinged door opening against the wall would've been better. 4) Half bath is nice. 5) The coat hook/key hook right inside the main door on ours is convenient. Could be added adjacent to a swing door. 6). Why not a shoe space under the steps? 7) Nicer one-piece shower, but ours is bigger and that's more important to us. 8) Bathroom storage could have projected into the mid bunk TV space. Big miss here. 9) Dont care for the N-S skinny bed. 10) Love the outside fridge and sink! I added a small fridge in our pass-through and wish we had a sink for washing hands while cooking. The capital grill is useless on ours, and I suspect most people agree. 11). Wish we had 6-point leveling. 4-point seems to work fine, but I'm guessing 6-point is more stable. 12) Our stock road armor suspension is much better and I added Sumosprings which improved towing. 13). I love that all the big slides are rack and pinion, but I wonder if tank sizes are compromised? 13) One-piece wet bay is awesome! 14) Pass-through storage isn't huge for such a large cargo capacity. If they'd just consult with me on this sruff they'd have the perfect layout - signed, an architect 😂.
You do a lot of Bunkhouse and Mid Bunk units. I know those are great for Families. But I retired and didn’t travel with kiddos. How about some units for singles or couples? I would like a large unit for just couples.
Another good video . would have been a better idea for the bottom bunk to have been a traditional booth dinette style and be able to convert to bed. But nice
You didn’t open the last door but I’m presuming that it houses the second 30# LP tank? By chance any room in those doors to add more tanks? Also I didn’t see any spare tires in the video. Are the mounted under the back end of the camper?
Hey there, I ordered a f450 and have watched several of your videos. Have you found a way to fix the wandering issue ? Does steer tires or different wheels fix it ? Thanks.
The best feature for me is the mid-bunk along with the half bath. The poor feature for me is the gas range in the confined counter space that’s deemed as a fire hazard per se in the fifth wheel RV …
I wish these manufacturers would stop being cheap, put a third axle, make it two feet longer, make the front bedroom and east/west on a slide. Then this would be a amazing unit!
Disappointed! Had such high hopes for this floorplan. Really wanted the 1/2 bath Mid-bunk to be great - it wasn't! I love Mid-bunk floor plans and I have been looking for a bath & a half model. I wanted so, so much to like this, but nope! Loft size was nice but kitchen with peninsula - way too small. Loose the peninsula & put in an island. Move the pantry to behind the entertainment center (which is presently wasted space). Put in a proper coffee bar where the pantry is now. Living room seating & dinette is fine. Put in some fake beams or high upper cabinets, something to dress up the living room and utilize all that wasted space above the slides. Or, better yet extend the loft all the way across the living room - then the loft would be extra huge! The cubby spaces in the bunk room are useless. Put in some drawers, especially under the bottom bunk. Find somewhere for some hanging space. The 1/2 bath is great! That is the best part of this entire floorplan. The master was very disappointing. I personally don't like north/south facing beds, there was no dresser and although the washer/dryer space was nice, giving up the shower space & bath linen closet would not be worth it to me. I hope there are some improvements to this floorplan because I think the Mid-bunk with a bath & a half is a great idea, they just missed the mark on execution!
I like the half bath, better than nothing. However, I still prefer the units with 2 full baths. That Chaparral 375BAF from a few months back is still my grail unit

Putting a ceiling fan would have been great in the living room. It would have broken up the white. Maybe some pendants or light system over the sink.

Definitely agree
Wow. I suggested that you look into this RV
Nice, love half bath in bunk room. Just wish trifold sofa and flip up bunk.

I'd go with the 20k better to be safe than sorry.

Ceiling fan in the living room/kitchen would have been nice. Can you put a generator in the front?
Cool

I’ve seen a lot of your videos and love them.
I’m sure I’m not the first person to ask this.
Are you Jon Cryer?
Thanks! And nope

Needs a 3rd AC for the mild Texas summers.
Not Bad

Why is JD so excited about making kids do homework on vacation?

Descent but needs more storage.

Dang, too bad that stove area is cramped. Pass.
