Today I chilled out and made a couple of Glue Pin toppers.
I'll show you how I made mine and what I use, so why not grab your stainless steel pins, beads and gems and make some for your craft room glue pins.

25:49 The little gold ring in your kit is used to bend the jump rings open so you can add your beads or charms. Hold the jump ring in the pliers, slide one side of the jump ring in a slot on the ring and carefully open the jump ring, add your charm or bead and slowly bend it back together.

It's a jewellers ring to use on your finger instead of using both pliers to open or close your jump rings.

Charity shops here in Ireland aren't that cheap, I do pop in my local few sometimes. 😁
Late seeing this, but this a great idea. I make jewelry so I have all,of these items in my stash. I am certainly going to try making these. They’re beautiful. FYI the pins with the hole are called “eye pins & the pins with the flat or ball tip are call head pins. Thanks for such a great tutorial.

Oh my word they are both beautiful. I was very lucky and super thrilled to have been gifted one of these lovely glue pin charms, thank you so much Simone. I had planned to make you a thank you card on my return from holiday but I still haven’t managed to find any crafting time. Making a card for a card maker is always a challenge for me but I will do my best once I can settle on a fold style. I am a very slow crafter and my plotting and planning stage can last a while as I keep changing my mind x

Hi Julie, I just had to reply and let you know that I too take forever to design a card. It can be very frustrating at times, especially when it takes 2 to 3 days to finish it. Picking out papers and colors, and then coming up with a balanced composition takes me so long but I do get a lot of therapeutic benefits from crafting. The only big problem is my bank account LOL. I'm delighted you enjoyed it Chris. I love mine and you'll see in my videos I use them in my bottles all the time.
I have 2 videos showing how I make them and a tip I got from a viewer that's very useful is, use Glossy accent adhesive (if you have it) to glue the beads to the pin if your worried about using a super glue. I found my hot Glue works well too.

Instead of that instant glue that glues your fingers together, too, I recommend Glossy Accent! I use glossy accent for the end beads on my pokey tools and it works perfectly, I promise

I just watched another video about those glue bottle toppers and I saw that she used that “ strange ring “ that also sits in your toolset to open those little connector rings….it seemed to go very easy. Love your channel.

I find the ring handy for closing the jump rings but seem to use the round nose pliers more often now. I usually have my over head light with the magnifying glass in front of me when closing the jump rings so I see better but couldn't use it during the tutorial, it would be in the way of the camera.

I know now that they're called head pins, eye pins, and the ring is for opening the jump rings and links. Lol, I've learned that since making them. 😂🤣😆

You can get the ring from temu singles now.not expencive use on your finger instead of using both pliers.use ring to open and close jump rings much easier.

Brilliant Simone, what a great idea 👏👏. I love them, so pretty and such a great way to keep the glue bottles from getting clogged, I’m forever doing battle with the tops of the precision top glue bottles especially. I particularly love the personalised one with Alisha’s name, what a lovely little gift that would make for a crafty friend and I’m sure Alisha will love it. That brass ring is to use to turn your little ring closed holding with only 1 of your pliers its what jewelers use.

Do the toppers make the glue bottles tip over, from weight? These all look so pretty.
I keep my Glue bottles topped up once they're about half full and I don't have any problems when using the long dangling pins like you see in my videos. Make them as long or short as you like and see how you get on. 😁🥰

I'm northern Ireland but just like Scotland and Hampshire UK every pin we seem to buy is from China and rust.my grans pins never rusted.but like you if you can find anything it's expensive.yet america has all these stores we don't have like hobby lobby dollar store Michael's Jones.thier so lucky wish we did.uk

Do you know what the very long pins are called not for this project but for decoration.they used to be called hat pins
I just know them as hat Pins... again, you can get all kinds on Amazon depending on how thick and long you want them as well as if you want plain ones or decorated ones. 😁
