North Country Trail | 2023 Hike 10 Day 3-5 | Muskallonge Lake State Park to near Grand Marais MI

- More hiking on our May 2023 U.P. adventure. Between days three and four, we hiked the miles between Muskallonge Lake State Park and a parking lot a few miles outside of Grand Marais, Michigan. Hotter than we expected, more bugs than we wanted, but a beautiful stretch of trail.
Finally Lydia and I got to watch the Muskalonge video. I remember those were some challenging trails. My knee was really hurting and by the last day I was dragging. You were a trooper. You had to deal with dehydration and the effects of the heat. You never wine or complain. You persevere. You're a very determined hiker. We all learned a lot about our bodies and what it needs. I think you learned the most.... She who sweats a lot. ❤

Finally! I'm watching your amazing trip. You have to feel somewhat accomplished. What was your total mileage again?
I hiked about 34 miles during that trip. :) I was happy to complete that big section. It was hard, but so beautiful.
