Paris is the most depressing place in Europe
Definitely not true I went to Paris a year ago and it was amazing. The amount of trash I saw in Paris for a city that is the second most visited city in the world was ridiculously impressive. The Parisians really work hard cleaning their city. So hats off to them. And I can't wait to visit Paris again.
@@emotivelyy_ yep svalbard because there is like barely anyone there
@@yapa-yapa lmfao
I've lived in Paris for 7 years, in Moscow for 6 years and in two small French cities for 11 years. The smaller cities were the most depressing BY FAR, along with wintertime Moscow. Paris is the most exciting city out of all of these. You're exaggerating.
Very true Paris is bad
I love how the abandoned town in Hungary is just called “abandoned town in Hungary”
I think it's maybe Szentkirályszabadja, a former soviet complex abandoned since the 90's. It's a very interesting place to visit and not depressing at all. The nearby airfield is still in operation, but you can visit the "szellemváros" (aka ghost town) freely.
@@werinterthe soviet union really dragged others down with it
@@werinterI know that every country has some language but how do you pronounce that city name
@@SomebodyXD3076t can be 'Szentkirályszabadja' or 'Tótvázsony'. There are lot of abadoned towns on the nord side of Balaton, after the russian military left them in the early '90's

People tend to forget how incredibly sucsessful these building were at their time. People moved in there from huts with no internal plumbing or water, after the devastation of a world war, for free.
It's not pretty, but people needed houses, not beauty.

I think that shot is taken from a video about Chişinău, probably stolen by the nature of youtube shorts. That's why I immediately recognised the place despite never having been even close to Moldova.
I'm born and raised in Chisinau Moldova, the first Shot is Moldova, thats for sure.

Ostrava ain't really that depressing, it's usually like traveling back to 19th century when you go to the industrial parts, which is more of a impressive sight then a depressive one. And otherwise the city is a modern city that you can see usually find in Germany mixed with commie blocks, which, in the poorer parts, actually DO look depressing.

When as a child lived in Chișinău I toke every single one of those stairs, now is better some of them.

How a coal mine can be depressing?
Memesters will call almost anything depressing, once they see some of the countries of the Eastern Bloc.
Industrial vibe
Well it's not that much, but if it's abandoned coal mine then THAT'S anither level of depressing
@@KJ-ud3mgThis mine is not abandoned
Pollution, trash, lack of maintenance on public infrastructure, grey skies you named it

The 'abandoned town' looks like the former soviet barrack near my hometown in Hungary. It's a good airsoft/paintball location, and apart from the missing or breakable stairs it's a quite fun place (when you're in company haha)
We have our own perception of things, to other people it's not that depressing, it varies from opinion to opinion, i myself think the abandoned town in the hungary looks beautiful as it gives off thought provoking things like how it was used in the past and its memories.
The place is called Szentkirályszabadja, and I agree.
You should go to Ostrava, it's a specific place but not depressing

Chornobyl
Dont think thats central europe 💀
@@JoeTheRealOne Well, in general, it's central. Russia occupies all of true Eastern Europe. What we call "Eastern" is actually central. Such a misunderstanding is due to the fact that Russia is already large and most of its territory is Asia, and therefore the country is considered more of an Asian country.
So, yes, Ukraine is central Europe.

I don’t understand why people think that the neighborhood in the Eastern Block countries are depressing. Yeah, some of them are dirty or have unkept houses and broken roads. But some of them are so cozy and beautiful, that have a lot of trees and spaces without cars for residents. Especially they’re cool in Germany and Czechia.

yeah the reason people think these places look depressing is because they're often run down and uncared for. if these places had just a bit TLC put into them I imagine they could look quite pleasant.
