- in this video i go about emptying one of our slatted sheds on an out farm with the 3690 on the agitator and 6290 on the dribble bar tanker. the tank is solid thick like turf and only for the other tanks in the yard full of water I wouldn't of got much done. talk about pain in the hole slurry job

I’ve a tank just like that every year, 4 tanks of water then mix then put out 4 tanks, draw more water, mix and so on. A dose. We scrap the collection yard into it which doesn’t help. 3690 sounds well Philip 💪💪
IFarm WeFarm Adrian, did you ever try the bacteria? We find it great, price dramatically fades when you have little to no agitating time! Just don’t mix with parlor washings...

Great video as usual, try and get in to the habit of shutting the tractor doors when they're parked, i saw two contractors at silage once stopped for their tea with the doors open so that they could chat to each other. When they finished, one started up and took off breaking the two doors. OUCH

My slurry contractor said to me 20 years ago every tank of slurry tanken out u put in 1 and a half tank back in with water

There is a cone you can get to go into the back of the Macerator to slow down the slurry so you can go in a slower gear

What I generally do if there room for a few tanks a water put one at mixing point one at the back and another one roughly half leave it to settle for a day or two to sofin the lumps then mix

Savage amount of rain fell yesterday for us in cork and more coming hopefully, most of us beef farmers aren't gonna be able to afford a dribble bar tanker and if we have to call in the contractor that's just more cost that we dont need

Would you try pumping the slurry your agitating to the back of the 4th bay with the lay flat hose. Would help get it moving.
Right job is point the spout downwards and send the shit right down the middle of the tank, comes up underneath the crust and breaks it off, works 99% of the time for me

Great video, but here's a daft questions from a non farmer, sorry! 😁 Underneath the sheds the poo goes through the slats into the tank, but what are the bays? Are they different sections inside the underground tanks so when one section is filled up the over spill starts to fill up the next section and so on or is it just one big massive tank. Cheers.
mags the bays are the pens in sheds where the cattle are kept hope tat helps
If you have pig slurry near you. Fill the tank with pig slurry. It will naturally break you that tank
