FWIW, I have a love/hate relationship with UA-cam golf club reviews. It's because I've seen hundreds over the last several years and grown tired of how non-committal they are. You are different. You share your preferences without apologizing for them; no equivocation. Your review of players distance irons and how quickly you filtered to the i530s was exactly what I needed to confirm my decision to purchase. This review offered no surprises either. The S 159s are beautiful. Please compare the new Vokeys to the Pings (grind to grind).... you would blow up the Internet! Thanks for the good work.
I’m looking at these and the sm10, leaning more towards these because Ping numbers are on par with sm10 when dry but better than sm10 when wet. Seems to be more forgiving than sm10 as well……. If you had to pick being as you’ve hit both what would you pick out of the two???
Ping have definitely got a wedge here that will make Ping iron players look at blending in their wedges now rather than look at Vokey. More options than before, new grinds. Great feel and look! If you’re a Vokey player it’s hard to change when again you have so much choice! I’d be torn to choose but I genuinely believe both are a great option and which ever way you sway you won’t regret it
Nice review. Are these a “forgiving” type of wedge like the Glide 4.0 and to a greater extent the Callaway CBs or Cleveland CBX wedges, or is this more of a bladey players wedge?
Sorry for the delay in response. They certainly have the appeal of a better players wedge especially as they blend so well into blueprint. However with so many grind options now available there is an option for every player
Just ordered mine: 54 in S grind and 58 in H grind. Midnight of course. Loved my glide 4.0s also.
Ive had my Stealth Glides hanging in there for the last year awaiting these.
Ping-Take my money.
I almost pulled the trigger on the glide 4.0 and I’m glad I waited, these seem to be legit!!!
They are a great wedge with plenty of options!
@jacobhogue1312 I got a picture leaked to me last year and knew, I live black wedges, so just had to wait.
Exciting times.

Unfortunately they don't have a 4 bounce lob wedge like Vokey.
Certianly a tough one that
