This is beautifully explained! I'm between isfp and infj, i relate to different aspects of both. I'm more abstract in nature like infj, but I think I like to live in the moment more like isfp - I wish I had someone to analyse my behaviours objectively for me lol

How much need do you feel to unify all the things you observe and connect under common truths? I am an INFJ, and if something happens in my life and I can't "get to the bottom" of it, it is very, very hard for me to just let it go and move on. I will wrestle with the questions over and over until I find an answer I am able to content myself with, even when I should be relaxing. I hate having dangling threads in my life. Dominant introverted intuition constantly seeks personal understanding on a grand scale. If you can "turn that off" and just enjoy the present moment in a natural, fairly effortless way, between those two types, you are closer to an ISFP. Living day by day, just enjoying the stimulus of the present moment, is something that I have had to learn, and it still takes conscious effort to engage the world in this simple, concrete way for me.
The long term planning scenario is what throws me off because I feel like I’m extremely future focused but at one point in time I was not at all

Tricky Tricky. I've been researching the functions and really resonate with the INFJ and how introverted intuition manifests and resonate with the Ti aspects of things. Someone recently insisted I was an ISFP so starting my research to see if there is something to it and am noticing how I can "present" myself that way. When I had less confidence I would do the bridge building and work through my goals and as I've gotten more experience following a clear roadmap or even creating roadmaps for others (Very enjoyable) is my preferred working style. I'm very abstract in general but I've been working on my communication style so then I can come off as more direct especially when trying to build a case.
I am gonna leave this comment just in case someone comes across it and finds it helpful. For some odd reason, people overfocus on Fe and Ti for INFJs and not enough on Ni and Se. Furthermore, there still seems to be a confusion on the differences between Ni and Ti. Ni is abstract thinking. Ti is logical reasoning. A simple way to understand Ti is through an example such as this one: if A = B and B = C then A = C. This is logic. Or Ti. On the other hand, there is no way one can convince an Ni dominant type that A = B unless they check on it themselves. Since it is perception, one tends to question things and not take it at face value but rather treat the outcome as a possibility rather than something set in stone. More info on Ni includes: ideas, innovation, change, transformation. As such, Ni dominant people aren’t exactly walking on eggshells around others. If I come across someone in need, I would gladly stop and help and not ask for anything in return. But my path is from Ni to Se. From idea to outcome. To cause change in the world that hopefully will be beneficial for everyone. Having a brother who is Ti dominant, I have noticed that the “arrogance” comes from Ni.
I always thought Te users accepted that they would never be fully convinced that A = C, but they choose to go with it anyway for the sake of getting to a goal (whether that be practical or for the sake of knowledge itself). Everyone can have objective logic, I always thought it was just a matter of what you prioritize. Te users don’t have to rework their logical framework because they can identify one to cling onto, whether that be from their own creation or the outside world, so all they have left to do is plug in details and evidence. Ti users aren’t as inclined to be interested in forming the framework, so they become more flexible and can change it according to the new information they acquire. They only ask questions with the intention of understanding the framework behind them, and they might happen to remember the details

i was having a crisis today because of this but i think i’m an infj. it’s been how i lived my life for the past year as i tried to find something to cling to and find my values but today i for some reason had a feeling i need to look into isfp’s and regretted it because i had SO many doubts 😭 but at the end i am an infj so um

The directive energy of INFJ really makes sense though for me.

After watching this, I am sure that I am an ISFP. For the longest time I thought I am INFJ, maybe because of the Se-Ni/ Ni-Se function.

I switch personalities based on who i am with and i can't stand unfairness even if it's just a small thing and I'm friendly with everyone even if i don't like that person but i will keep it in mind forever who am i isfj, isfp or infj?

As an Infj who was a friend of an Isfp... all I can say is I am tempted to wish upon them what they wish for themselves as well as what they wish upon others. Key differences as an Infj vs Isfp, I dont snitch. I noticed my Isfp buddy enjoys projecting illusions of who he is not. Hystrionic type of personality interested in believing his own lies at 67 years of age 😂 but hey as an Infj 45 years of age I'd say he earned his golden years of discontent. ✌😅
