I make a lot of fresh fruit ice creams at home and blend it in a tall mixie - juicer jar. It the one jar that is rarely used for anything else. I chuck the jar into the freezer for 2-3 hours and blend it again to break the icicles. After this step, I fill it in a container and freeze it for 5 to 6 hours. Now the ice cream is smooth and let's the scoop glide in.

Is this a sugarless ice-cream ? If not, in which stage you mixed sugar? Because, I found, you only used sugar when making the Butter-scotch, which also , I found, used very little in this Ice-cream.
