From their 2021 "in isolation" album, none of them could go to the studio, so each did their part, and sent them in, it's a covers album since they couldn't get together to write, so they did songs each knew.
Love Deep Purple and this was indeed a great cover of a great Peter Green Era Fleetwood Mac song. If you like this cover, and the original version with Peter Green?I strongly recommend a cover by a group from the 70s called The Rockets. Definitely worth checking out. I believe they also did a great cover of Golden Earring's less well known hit "Candy's Going Bad." Good stuff, if you like 70s hard rock/heavy metal. Another group that should have been huge and just never quite got there. Sadly. (Or maybe that was The Gods. Sometimes mixed them up with The Rockets.)
Better than Slash, and almost as good as Mick Fleetwood, Billy Gibbons and Steven Tyler - this is definitely a unique version and Purple to the core. Thanks!!!
The first version of this that hit my radar was The Rockets out of Detroit. I went backwards and discovered Peter Green and the original version. I enjoy DP's version as well as Slash's take on it.

Great song, great cover. This is not new, though & was released back in 2021 on Turning To Crime. Nice work on this video, not sure what the point is, though. The original video from them is damn near a masterpiece.
I remember listening to Fleetwood Mac's version back around '68, I never heard Purple's version before. Hell, even better and I didn't think that would be possible.
No, Steve is not back (unfortunately)....apparently the video is new but the song was recorded with Steve in 2021. Steve is currently touring with another Dregs reunion, Purple will be touring this summer with Simon McBride on guitar
Right. Page and the Crowes covered this several years ago and even they couldn't move the needle. This mess is brutal. Might I humbly suggest that Mac's cut cannot be improved upon.
Simon is a killer player - Scottish - awesome blues and acoustic besides being able to rock it out. Met him at a PRS Experience and he played bass for a friend (unknown just playing for the crowd by sign up - on a side stage - for a lark.... great person, not a rock star.....Loved Steve Morse, and Simon is a great replacement. Glad to see they are giving it another whirl, and they sound like Deep Purple - how awesome is that?

''Oh well''.... Not Slash but better, I just happen to agree with you. Thanks 🎸☝🏻💃✌🏻
Excellent tribute to the original Fleetwood mac.
Awesome version!
Deep Purple still rocking it. Some of the greatest musicians to ever take the stage.
Shame about the last video but this one is great to

Deep Purple sound great on this cool cover of a great.
I love it!!!
This sounds pretty good. Slash or not. I love this song anyway. 😮This is great!
This guitarist understands their roots and gives us earcandy and nostalgia.
"Turning to Crime" was the last album with Steve Morse.
It's great song. It's really fantastic that people and different bands and musicians remembrr it and polish it a little.
Heel mooi en onwijs goed!! Dank jullie wel Deep Purple🤘🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🤘
Great music, you are still the best.
I've only waited 40 years for Purple to remake this classic!!! GO IAN PAICE!
Deep Purple have done this great song in their own brilliant style, love the Fleetwood Mac version of course but this is PURPLE!!! (-:

I've spent many years trying to master this tune. Looks like I'll have to spend many more. Let the joy be in the journey.
It's a bit tricky, huh? I can get to the part where it takes off hard core and then I'm lost 😂
Purple were my first. I was 11 when me and a buddy were chaperoned to the Burn tour. Changed my life.
You always remember your first
This song is three years old from Turning To Crime with Steve Morse on guitar.
Great music never die.Long lve Deep Purple!Well done guys!
Geniales magníficos,excelentes....Larga vida al rock!!!❤
This is one incredible version of Peter greens Fleetwood Mac’s “ oh well “.🇺🇸🎸💙🇺🇸🎸💙🇺🇸🎸
There was only one who could truly make this song legendary ' PETER "GREENE " GREEN 💚 👏 NUFF SAID

Perfect choice of a cover song.
Would be great if that could drive some people to give an ear to the fabulous original Fleetwood Mac.
Yeah isn't this Peter Green's song?

Got to agree
You do realize Peter Green wrote the song he was the original singer guitarist is Fleetwood Mac, Mick had nothing to do with this.
@@bluwng Actually he did - without Mick there would be no cowbell ;)
With a far superior and way more advanced player though -mr. Steve Morse.
What does this song have to do with Slash? I’m confused…seriously lol

I saw The Rockets at the Toledo Jam. They rocked!!
Jim McCarty deserves to be more recognized. Cactus is one of the great bands who have been forgotten.
I saw the Rockets in the Superdome in New Orleans, the first of five bands. 1981
Deep Purple!!!! Brasil te ama ❤❤
