Every time I need to know something about fishing I go to this channel
Thanks - I'm glad you find my videos so helpful.
very informative right?
Potentially the most informative and easy to digest fishing channel out there. And absolutely my favorite. Thank you!@@FishingwithNat
@@dominickdetore8480 Thanks - I appreciate it.
Hey Nat, I got into fishing recently and you helped me big time. I have no one to teach me and you helped me a lot. Thanks for helping me catch my first bass!
You're very welcome. Congrats on your first bass and good luck fishing. 🙂
You're making the fundamental, super important videos that the tackle manufacturers **should** be making but aren't 👍
Thanks for all that you do. Educating thousands 🇺🇲
Thanks for the feedback
Nat you are becoming my go to source for fishing information
Thank you!
Cool - thanks
I just caught my second bass which is my PB. It was a 1 pounder and I caught in on live shiners.
Cool 😎
I love my octopus hooks, snell knot rarely ever fails me and they just seem to set really well
Yep, an octopus with a snell tends to get better hooksets.
Please make a third part if you can
Are there more types of hooks you're wondering about that I didn't cover in Part 1 and Part 2?
Nat, you are a wealth of information! Especially for a relatively occasional angler like me.
Thanks - good to have you here.
Love your videos! I have 5 kids and we all appreciate your educational videos! Thank you!
Awesome - thanks for the feedback
Man, I want to make videos like yours that are good for beginners but you’re already doing such a good job that I feel like it’s unnecessary 😅
Haha thanks 🙂
Thank you
You're welcome - glad you liked the video.
Hell yeah, I picked up some hooks on my way home from work and I'm gonna try my hand at some soft bait tomorrow.
Awesome - good luck
Thanks for making these videos! If possible, would you be able to provide guidance on shore fishing rivers? I've had some luck on the Mississippi and St. Croix, but it's pretty spotty. Any assistance is appreciated!
Which species are you fishing for primarily?
Really whatever I can catch. Bass usually in the Mississippi. Pike, bass, and walleye in the St. Croix
@@JesseDennison Focus on eddies, undercut banks on the outer edges of bends, near structure (rocks/logs), and at the end of riffles where there tends to be a deep pool. I really like inline spinners in rivers.
First and also I love your videos and hope you make one about coho salmon
I've been doing my best to film salmon (cohos and chinook) this fall but they are tough!
Thank you! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
You bet
Very nice! Thank you!
Thanks for the feedback!
Love your videos😁
Thanks
Wooohoo new video!!!
🙂
Jig heads are made of tungsten right?
Some are. Most are made from lead. Tungsten jigs are denser and more expensive, but very popular with ice fishing rigs and deep-water applications because they sink very quickly.
@@FishingwithNat thank you for the answer(this gonna give me 5 bucks now hehe)
You think you’ll ever make a sturgeon video? I saw you catch lake sturgeon or maybe Atlantic sturgeon before with your kids and since it’s white sturgeon season over for me I’d like to know any tips you could offer 😅
Maybe. I use all of my own footage and I like to include lots of underwater footage of each species. I have a couple of ideas of where I could get some decent sturgeon footage but so far I've had trouble getting anything good.
I want to make a video were I fish lures people recommended in my community post comments. What lure do you recommend for this video.
Didn't you say you were going to use one of the lures that someone posted about in your community posts?
@@FishingwithNat Yeah
Can you do a life of a crappie video
Yes, I intend to.
@@FishingwithNat thanks bro your the best.
Do you have a video showing how to safely retrieve a bait if it gets stuck around a rock or tree? Please link to the video if you have it on your channel.
Artificial bait*
@@oldstory-sz4qc I don't have a video like that. What do you mean by safely retrieving it? Are you thinking from shore or from a boat?
@@FishingwithNat
I meant safely that I don't want to have to try to pull it out hard if it gets stuck and then it comes back to me quickly and the hooks hurt me.
I am currently thinking of fishing from the shore for the first time in my life and maybe later fishing from a boat.
@@oldstory-sz4qc Ah, I see. Yes, you never want to pull really hard in line with your body, especially your face. It's best to tug on a snagged line gently at first, and if you have to pull hard, tug with your rod off to the side. If you have to break the line, you can pull straight back on the line, but hold the rod next to your body instead of right in front, just in case it comes flying back. It's more of a concern with monofilament line or fluorocarbon because the line stretches and builds up tension, which then slingshots your bait back at you if it breaks loose.

Thank you so much
I appreciate that
