For me Winter Bird is about living with depression. Aurora really is a complete artist, she writes her own songs, she often play several different instrument on the tracks, she produces, she draw her merchandise art and have painted the cover for singles, she does the choreograph in music videos (Apple Tree) or just dance without it, letting the music take her and she makes a lot of her won clothes and jewelry. She is also working on a book, I was in the audience the night after she started and she told us.
@@carmenfermina1173 I attended two of her concerts in Oslo in 2019, the first on the 22nd of March and the second on the 23rd of October. I am 85% sure she said it at the start of the second concert, but I might miss remembering and it might have been the first one.
Walking in my sleep Like the naked trees Will they wake up again? Do they sleep, do they dream? Feel it as the wind strokes my skin I am moved by the chill Hear the winter bird sing Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah My tears are always frozen I can see the air I breathe Got my fingers painting pictures On the glass in front of me Lay me by the frozen river Where the boats have passed me by All I need is to remember How it was to feel alive Silent things Violent chase We are dancing again In a dream, by the lake Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah My tears are always frozen I can see the air I breathe Got my fingers painting pictures On the glass in front of me Lay me by the frozen river Where the boats have passed me by All I need is to remember How it was to feel alive Rest against my pillow like the aging winter sun Only wake each morning to remember that you're gone So I drift away again To winter I belong Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah My tears are always frozen I can see the air I breathe Got my fingers painting pictures On the glass in front of me Lay me by the frozen river Where the boats have passed me by All I need is to remember How it was to feel alive My tears are always frozen (ah, ah-ah, ah ah) My tears are always frozen (ah, ah-ah, ah-ah-ah) My tears are always frozen (ah, ah-ah, ah ah) (ooh) All I need is to remember How it was to feel alive I need to remember How it was to feel alive
I think it's great that Aurora also attracts so many metalheads (like me). She herself is also one. Maybe that's why. She offers the absolute balance with small elements of metal in some songs. Their lyrics are poetry and poetry is most not to be taken literally. For many, winter is synonymous with depression. The tears don't run down because they're frozen. So they stuck. You're in depression. In addition, the video that shows how she looked up herself in her thoughts. No longer participates in life. All she has to do is remember how it was to feel alive. That is just one way of interpreting it. Another, of course, would be the slightly more positive view. Someone retreats to a place where he feels most comfortable when the day was not so great. There are certainly umpteen other interpretations.
@@Danny_R_ I like it too. It is a pitty we find her unique because she is the most human human I know. We should all adapt some of her wisdom and attitude.. 🙂 Just a thaught.. 😊
@@gertwestblad9052 Absolutely .. If everyone just took 1% of hee u think the world would be a better place.. I have seen some of her outside her music nut not alot. Im kinda getting more into her music as im getting older. Im a hip hop head but as im getting older im listening to more diverse music.. Well I've always listen to alot of other stuff but hip hop had been thr main thing... Now i listen to anyone from 2 pac to angelina jordan to teddy swims. And alittle fun fact. Aurora actually grew up an hour from where i live now. I dont know if she still lives here but i met her 2 years ago downtown in Bergen. Well i said hi and she smiled and said hi back... I didn't want to disturb her to much cause she was holding hands with her girlfriend and was walking a crosswalk.. Could stop her in the middle of the road...
Great reaction! I recommend reacting next to Lucky live at Nidarosdomen. Or if you want to check out a very different music video (insane actually lol) then check out Apple Tree.
And YOU are the best reactor I have seen to date, in a long, long time. LOL ( 0:30 ) I fear that these periods of reacting to a certain number of videos in a certain number of days ARE taking a toll on you, my friend. Love from Norway :-)
They are taking a toll on me but I love the challenge and pushing my limits. I also love all of you guys and watching new content that you all enjoy. This is my hobby and I love it. I’m beyond grateful to have you 🙏
New sub here! Both the concert in the cathedral and the one in the forest are a must! The one in the cathedral is special because of the orchestra and the amazing acoustic. The one in the forest is amazing because she looks like a forest fairy blessing us with her presence, the imagery is breathtaking.
I know this is an old video, but I highly recommend you watch the Live in Nidarosdomen version of this song. It's just amazing, maybe one of my favourite song ever. I was just in awe the first time I listened to it, I was stroke by the song.
Can you please react to her song Lucky next? It’s so beautiful. I really like the VEVO Dscvr version… i think it sounds just as amazing as the studio version. I know a lot of people really like the version that’s live at the Nidarosdomen too. But no matter what version you listen to, the song is beautiful.
Another nice reaction but I do have a question. Since you have started to your journey with our Queen has she given you inspiration for your own projects. Is there aspects of her music, lyrically or composition that inspire you? Edit: Actually a much better question is, since becoming a reactor have any artists inspired or influence any of your projects?
To many songs to recommend! But You should check out her cover of God is a woman. I never like this song but with her voice and movements she completely changed the song. Also Forgotten love, soft universe, and soulless creatures are some of my favorite original songs.
Quick question. How come after you say "we're going for a ride" you click your shotgun? Should we duck? Just wondering. (I know, I know, you're buckling your seatbelt , it just looks like your cocking a shotgun.)

Walking in my sleep
Like the naked trees
Will they wake up again?

Feel it as the wind strokes my skin
I am moved by the chill
Hear the winter bird sing
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
My tears are always frozen
I can see the air I breathe
Got my fingers painting pictures
On the glass in front of me
Lay me by the frozen river
Where the boats have passed me by
All I need is to remember
How it was to feel alive
Silent things
Violent chase
We are dancing again
In a dream, by the lake
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
My tears are always frozen
I can see the air I breathe
Got my fingers painting pictures
On the glass in front of me
Lay me by the frozen river
Where the boats have passed me by
All I need is to remember
How it was to feel alive
Rest against my pillow like the aging winter sun
Only wake each morning to remember that you're gone
So I drift away again
To winter I belong
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
