"Nidarosdomen" = Nidaros Cathedral and "Nidaros" is the medieval name of the city of "Trondheim" in Norway where the cathedral is located. There were 1100 people in the audience for this performance on Nov 2nd 2017 (5 year anniversary recently), and those tickets was sold out in like 4 minutes. This concert was denied at first by the church administration on the grounds that it did not meat the criteria for use of the church: It should provide room for wonder, faith and hope (apparently they never listened to Aurora's music). The festival arranging the concert appealed to the parish council and it was unanimously approved. I highly recommend this a cappella version of "Through The Eyes Of A Child" youtu . be / CFzExUN1N8I
This entire concert performance is nothing less than spectacular. It's an hour long and I highly recommend it. She also performs Murder Song and It Happened Quiet in the Nidarosdomen concert. I think I read somewhere that the halls of Nidaros Cathedral has a seven second resonance. ✌🏼
The Viking Fairy Queen will be coming to my country this coming March, I simply can't wait for that oment to arrive, I'm going with my 13 year old grandaughter, Valentina, gonna be a mind blower OMG!
I was at one of her concerts where she performed Life On Mars, and even with 5000 people all around me, you could hear a pin drop on the dirt ground. That is if you weren't so enthralled with her performance that nothing else mattered, ofcourse.
One of my totally favorite performances. For me it is masterpiece. Just everything. Her voice, expression, camera shots, song, lyrics, meaning - just amazing. And yes Aurora is like anyone else - she is unique. It is not only about her music and expressions and how much she is "in the songs" but also about her personality. And her music and art looks for me like a just extension of her. She is very free and looks like in harmony with her music:). But is is only my opinion :).
This concert was at Nidaros Cathedral in Norway. The 1500 tickets for the concert sold out in 5 to 10 minutes when they went on sale. Aurora sings Bowie's "life on mars" at the end of this concert and it is just fantastic. Great reaction. Thanks.
I am going to be doing more from this concert very soon. I love Aurora's voice and performance quality and can't wait to see more. Unfortunately, I had watched her earlier videos before I started reactions but I have a list of ones I haven't seen that I plan to do.
i know you because im a big fan of The Warning as you can see on my profle pic, I got so excited when i saw you uploaded this video because Aurora, along with TW are my favorites artists, she is super special, definetly no one like her, I hope you bring more reactions of the videos you havent seen from her. thank you and have a great time.
Always appreciate hearing from a Warning fan. I'm a bit of a fan myself as Norman Osborn would say. I will be doing more Aurora and others very soon. So many projects and so little time.
Aurora's voice is pure emotional exfoliation. I have heard this performance probably 30 times, and every time it just squeezes the soul like the first time. This and "through the eyes of a child" both just gut me every time (also from this same concert)
Hi Ken, goosebumps and shivers all over my body - every single time I hear this song. I agree with you that AURORA is unique. I don't know any other singer who is so extraordinary and unusual. That concerns the versatility of the music and the lyrics and then her movements. This is not mainstream. Nidarosdomen is a cathedral in Trondheim , Norway. As far as I know it is the largest cathedral in Norway. AURORA is so deep into the story she's thinking about. Her facial expression is just the result. At that moment AURORA was somewhere but not in the cathedral. You saw her eyes. She was somewhere else. The song is her way of suicide prevention. A masterpiece. And you have to consider that she started writing this song when she was 9 years old. What child at that age thinks about this topic? And creates such a song as a result? AURORA's voice is great and works phenomenal in the cathedral. ------------------------- There are three very unusual concerts by AURORA. Then a singer, Ane Brun, sang a song by AURORA just for her. Then another surprise and finally the concert in the forest (7 songs, approx. 40 minutes), which in itself is amazing, fantastic, enchanting... Aurora is one of my top favorite female vocalist on the planet. (Actually my top 2 are both Norwegian, Angelina Jordan being the other but 10 yrs younger) This entire Nidarosdomen concert is simply and epic masterpiece of Aurora's stunning vocals and the entire production with the Orchestra, her band, the choir and the fantastic camera work as well as the acoustics of this Cathedral. Speaking of pairing Aurora with other artists, I will recommend you to react to: 1. Aurora invited French artist Pomme to contribute to her song Everything Matters, both with singing and with the lyrics. Love Aurora! To answer your question, if your reacting to music from Auroras channel, you shouldn't have problems with copyright because Aurora promotes free use of her music and doesn't copyright strike anything as far as I know. (this is different of course if youre watching a concert of hers that was uploaded to another channel like a radio stations or something)
I myself for some reason, always picture ( try to fit her) AURORA doing a bit Part in a one time concert or " special guest" singing the parts of Mother in The Wall. Be great to go see Roger Waters doing the Wall with "special guests
It's funny how much pronouncing, or spelling, Nidarosdomen tripped me up back in the day too. Since then, let's just say I've had some obsessive practice. So, in short....it goes like this..... Knee - Duh - Roast(minus the t) - Dough - Men Does that help? Who knows! But good luck!
55 yr old Rocker here…herd her a couple of years ago…the emotions she brings out in me…can’t describe…incredible voice…a true artist…

Through the Eyes of a Child at this same concert is incredible. I can’t watch it without crying. Highly recommend.
Funny that, the video gets blurred part way though for me as well.

Fun fact. Nidarosdomen have three organ. The main organ played here has almost 10 000 pipes. One of the biggest in Europe. It sounds amazing.

47 year old metalhead here. Aurora is the best "mental cleansing" for me. She seems authentic and very talented.

Pomme has a very high standing in France and is a great match, her register is a bit lower than Aurora's. ua-cam.com/video/yX8bYwl9rKc/v-deo.html .
2. Aurora's fellow citizen Sondre Lerche asked her to sing with him on his song Alone In The Night and it is a wonderful song and a very likeable video. ua-cam.com/video/XSK1Bt9O0Pw/v-deo.html .
Babymetal is hot right now they are awesome
I myself for some reason, always picture ( try to fit her) AURORA doing a bit Part in a one time concert or
" special guest" singing the parts of Mother in The Wall.
Be great to go see Roger Waters doing the Wall with "special guests
Her production crew rules, but I think the church is doing some work here?🧚🏻🍎
It's funny how much pronouncing, or spelling, Nidarosdomen tripped me up back in the day too.
Since then, let's just say I've had some obsessive practice. So, in short....it goes like this.....
Knee - Duh - Roast(minus the t) - Dough - Men
Does that help? Who knows! But good luck!
