I had to unbolt the winch from the plate in order to move it enough to get that front/bottom mounting plate (from the bumper) down in there properly. My biggest issue is and was that the upper mounts (by the lights) would hit the existing plastic panel around the lights, thus not giving the bumper enough space to move back and properly line the winch plate bolt holes back up. They were about a quarter of an inch off. I was stuck and ended up doing multiple things to finally get them to line up. One of those solutions was having to dremmel out some of that plastic in order to get some extra space there. Didn’t turn out terrible but hated having to do it. Pretty terrible design for sure… unless mine is defected.
These are a tight fit, but shouldn't require modifications. If you'd like, shoot us over an email with details and photos so we can see what's going on, sales@superatv.com.
I have a 2022 Yamaha RMAX2 1000 with the Warn VXR4500 winch. This will not slide down past the winch to install. Looks like there is no adjustment for the winch to slide it back a quarter of an inch. Reaching out to SuperATV customer service for next step. Like anything else, looks super easy via a UA-cam video. In reality, not so much. Love the bumper though. No cutting the plastics like the Yamaha OEM factory front bumper/brush guard
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and contacting our customer service team. With your feedback, we can adjust our fitment and add any note to our instructions as needed.
I'm having the same problem installing on a 2022. I replaced the hex head bolts with button head on the side attachment points in an effort to get the bolts in the lower frame to align. After finally getting the lower frame to reconnect, the hood is not even close to being removable. And my hood now has scratches from the edges of the bumper. No solutions as of now.
We have tested this on a few models and found that some have tighter tolerances and will need adjusted outwards to clear the hood. If you need assistance, please give us a call or shoot us an email so we can help out! 855.743.3427 or sales@superatv.com
Same issue here. Turns out SuperATV knows they have this issue. If you reach out to them they will send you the redesigned bumper but you have to first take the bad one off and send them pics of it having been cut up. Wish they had been proactive in letting me know before I boogered up my hood.....
Very informative video
Thanks for the support!

Hello, thanks for wathcing our Wolverine RMAX front bumper install! The lift used here is a mid rise lift by Forward Lifts.
Good video, but would have liked to have seen it fully installed and the hood removed.
Sorry about that! If you have questions, please give us a call at 855.743.3427 or shoot us an email at sales@superatv.com.
