The RLCS in 2022 was fantastic to say the least. There was so much more innovation, even on the mechanic side, than I expected. I chose 10 of the best unique goals to recreate. I used a plugin to put myself, teammates, and opponents in the same exact positions.

It wasn't until the past year or so where this was even possible within Rocket League. For a long time, it was only possible to recreate shots in training packs by eyeballing the trajectory of the ball. Now, with RIP core, you can put yourself in a local match surrounded by bots that are doing the exact same recorded movements as the players in the actual RLCS match were. It makes everything about recreating the shots so much more realistic. Seeing yourself surrounded by your teammates and opponents that you can actually interact with makes it that much more accurate. If you don't place the shot properly, the opponent will even save it. It's a true test to if you can score that exact shot that the pros hit in a real competitive situation.

can I just say, about these tournaments, that there are many players clearly scamming that have like 150 goals per game and somehow the system hasn't figured it out (to my knowledge)? Addressing that might make me try these again, but they just seem pointless if you're trying to do it legitimately and not put in the effort to scam your way through it.
You should do a video where you let the pros redo their shots and see how long they take to do it. Or maybe a competition between them to see who can succeed all these shots the fastest

JSTN's goal at worlds was the best of the tournament imo. Underrated goal. I don't think enough people knew how insane that touch was.
It was the best goal at worlds arguably but I would say goal of the year has to go to Joyo's 1v3 against falcons. That was otherworldly.
@@ollieejay nahh, that goal was good but it just wasn't clean enough for it to be goal of the year imo. Plus the stakes at that point were SO low, it kind of ruined it.

@@ollieejay but the actual finish wasn't very clean, and the defense was kind of weird. Top goal of the year for sure, but the best? Nah. JSTN's goal was better. I'd even say that the Joyo/Aztral was better.
@@ollieejay This is gonna sound weird asf, but that one isn't really a "hard" goal, it is mechanically challenging, but if you practice air dribbles a lot, you know how much room for error you have with that, the jstn shot is insanely precise and requires absolute mastery of your car (or luck but jstn does precise touches consistently so it wasn't mainly luck)
The thing I love about this is it shows how many different options pros have to pull off shots. Like for example when wayton was doing Noly's reset ceiling rebound he was able to turn it into a ceiling reset double touch and still score

It's crazy how much time you put into all the shots, but none look as clean as the ones the pros did in game (no offense to you lol). The most impressive part is that they didn't have as much leeway as you do here, they have to be unpredictable and outplay world class defenders in real-time WHILE pulling off these insane mechanics.
I feel like there needs to be a part 2 to this. There are so many shots that deserve recognition that should be attempted to recreate. Great video though!

The craziest part to me aren't the goals, but the fact that pros can come up with them on the fly and execute them perfectly on the first attempt.

This was a great video! I know i could never do it but even your struggle with FK’s shot really showed. Even when you hit it, it was a lot different than his. FK went off the ceiling at a much tighter angle. Again, could never do it but it just shows how crazy good these guys are! Thanks for this banger vid 🤙🏽

I think a lot of crazy pro goals (e.g. FK reset quad tap) are flukes that are improvised immediately after because of the sheer skill and reaction speed of the players.

I think you kept missing the ball on Justin's shot because the Octane's nose extends slightly outside its hitbox, so it looked like you were touching the ball but it just barely missed the hitbox. Justin hit it in game with the fennec whose nose lines up much better with the hitbox.

Two cool things I noticed in this video: 1. The defensive “pros” still defending some of Wayton’s shots just proves how insanely well positioned pros are. Sure, some of it is luck but for the most part, they’re positioned well enough to cover enough of the goal that even when they aren’t tryna read the actual shot that they’re defending, they still save some of them. 2. A lot of the mechanical goals scored by pros actually come more from vision, creativity and set up (including teammate’s passes) than actual mechanics. Of course, you have some shots like JSTN’s wall read, Beastmode’s ceiling pinch or Firstkiller’s low boost double where it’s just crazy mechanics and almost impossible for the majority of the player base to hit. However, there are some examples, like the Joyo ground double, Noly’s goal in this video or even the Sypical corner double, where even a non-freestyler GC picked up on the shots super quickly and hit them pretty cleanly. Obviously it’s not in an in-game situation either but that’s my point, pure mechanics isn’t what always makes the best shots so good.
JSTN’s goal was pretty cool so I count myself as an amazing own goaler😂😂😂😂
