I first saw this knife on a Knife Center video. I couldn't wait till you reviewed it. Though I wouldn't mind having it, I wouldn't take it over my Recon 1 Spear Point in S35VN. The downside of this knife for me are the horrible big choil on the blade and the kind of lock I would NEVER trust again after almost losing a finger due to the lock failing. Thanx for the video my Bladed Brother 👍⚔✝🇺🇸
G'day Aaron, now that's a folder. To be honest I find myself wondering why it actually needs to fold ; ) Since it does, .... yep washers for the design/application. Cant say I like the ferro notch, because I do quite a bit with cordage; besides my go to rod is a 1/2 in. job. I'd solve the clip issue, by tak'n it off and gett'n a pouch for it ; ) Cheers Duke.
Kinda reminds me of the Sog Seal XR even though the blade shape is different, the Bearing Kill it for Me , Im definitely a Washer guy when it comes to Hard Use pocket knives . Im a Huge C.S. Recon 1 Fan , with S35VN for around $100 its really hard to beat , even the C.S. Voyager for around $55 is a better choice IMO because of the Washers . Great Video Aaron ..... 👍 🖖
Thejoedon, I had to laugh…I own both the clip and tanto version of the SR1 lite…I agree they can keep the Sleipner steel and Ill use my ultra tough SR1…lol
1. Excellent review 2. I think if a person wants a survival knife in the form of a folder, this unit is primo. It easily out does the USAF survival knife or the Fallkniven f-1 if your concern is space and you have to go to a folder. I don't know what sheath would fit, depending upon the carry. It is not a tactical folder like the Spyderco Police Model, one unit of which sits near the computer.
That is a massive knife. Its a cool design but if I needed a blade that size I would likely go with a fixed blade. For a heavy duty folder the BM M4 Freek is tough to beat for being pocket friendly and bomb proof.
It needs thumb studs in addition to the flipper. For those oh hell no scenarios I don't think a flipper is a good option. My current hiking folder is the Manix 2 Xl. Good grip, strong lock, and easy deployment. I do like the Hard Task, though. Reminds me of the ZT 0452.
Should have been on washers and have thumbstuds as well. Should be a nice big EDC or cutter for guys with big hands, but not an outdoor or tactical knife. Blade stock and tip are too thin for that.
All they’re definitely not. If you saw my second video, the P 300 is awesome in someways but definitely have some issues with the ergo. And the whole second half of this video, not pumped on the bearings pocket clip design.

More companies need to open their eyes to this. This is what is needed. Not the Bugout. Not under 3 inch 2oz toys. This is a knife.
I have always liked larger folders, so this looks like it is right up my ally.
I'll stick with CS 4Max Scout.
Me too
me too.
So will I. A 4 Max would swallow that knife.
Even a SR1 Lite would.
By far😅
Definitely a "washer" type of knife owner. So much easier. Great video brother.
Well , you got my attention, again .💪🏼💪🏼👍

Yeah the washers definitely make a difference.
Kids say, questionable fire steel notch. Legends say, amazing sharpening choil.
Nice review, interesting knife. Thanks!
For a supposed hard task knife, Washers would have been much better than bearings.
Looks cool. I’ll stick with my SR1, though.

Both knives look and sound good 👍.
Hello Aaron. Thank you for the informative videos. 👍 Be well
Thanks, you too!
Love it!
Unfortunately, those bearings will get destroyed in short order, considering what the knife is designed for.
exactly why I buy fixed blades
Awesome knife I love it
Really like it looks pretty great
I don't think bearings are less reliable than washers. They don't bother me, but I'm afraid of rust on the pivot area.

That's a good price for that big of a blade.
Deff should check out a CAC folding knife, similar in size and has a crossbar lock and they come in around 130 bucks or so
Have one and sadly the steel is very soft. It's like 1.4116 ... However I got mine for like 60+-€ and for that price its amazing.
another anz.... great
Looks like a Microtech Amphibian knock off.

Kinda wish it had external stop pin thumb studs since flipping action is never the greatest on axis lock knives
I feel like Acta Non Verbal is sponsoring the channel right now….
No f’ing way bearings are good on an “outdoor” knife

I’m glad we are becoming familiar with another brand aside from the usual suspects lol (BM, Spyderco, CS, etc)
Not a lot of thought Like the civivi yonder for example.
adamas vs adira which is better?
I like my Adamas more
How do you have snow? I live in north and South Dakota and we have nothing
We almost got 2 feet in Denver last week.
@ oh your in the the mountains ok
Meh with a thin tip, bearings, lock that depends on a spring not what I would pick.
You’re not wrong
if its not a fixed blade you can keep it
PASS.
They couldn't decide what to built huh? Modern edc or tactical knife. Now it comes short on tactical.
Yeah, there’s definitely some mixed bag design features going on in there.
Way too big
Benchmade super Freak.
