Honestly maybe the best content out there that provides overarching strategies and game plans. So well done.
Thanks buddy gonna try to do some more broad overviews again soon
No maybes here!
So true, more of this please!
Level 1: when knee is on the ground 2:19
Level 2: 3:29
Level 3 standing: 4:28
this is the content that I wouldn't mind paying for. Excellent, J.
Jon at 5:43 is exactly how I felt watching this.
Excellent breakdown.
damn, comprehensive 7 mins of content right here! good stuff as always
I would pay for an instructional by Espen on RDLR.
BY FAR THE BEST YT CHANNEL for JJ content!
I really like this type of "Overview" contents which is easy to absorb and build from piece from piece later after knowing the general ideas of the whole system. Thank you so much for your very valuable contents . Greetings from China.
Yeah the overview formats are super helpful for getting the bigger picture together fast
We did RDLR in class today and this answer all the questions I had whilst reflecting on it and also answer to questions I was to inexperience to know what to ask. Which is the sign of a great teacher. Well done. I am now a subscriber!
Best BJJ channel out there!!
This really makes sense. My crap DLR usually leads to me ending up in RDLR and having no clue what to do from there. You are imparting meta skills here of looking at what is happening and deciding what you can do - transfer weight, elevate, move yourself. Really good, information dense video guys.
Good to see the Macro perspective as part of an overall training strategy.
Very well explained, in my comeback to BJJ after like 8 years I met this guard and while I thought was kind of too exotic but flows very well with other guards. Thank´s !
Very cool breakdown, I really appreciate the level 1 2 and 3 concept, super helpful.
You both together is amazing
Thanks buddy has been super fun hanging out and training together
Best video I have seen on reverse DLR
Adopting all off this, just next door to you guys! :)
Looking forward to your next visit buddy!
Great video boyz. It's nice to have the overview of the positions for white belts like me
The three levels are so helpful to know.
Thank you. This is a great start to learn this guard.
This is so cool. It just makes perfect sense.
Thank you for providing this channel and content. I find myself in this position when I'm in guard.
No problem buddy happy it has been helpful!
감사합니다. Thank you for good instruction videos!
good insight on the stage 3!
I agree. Awesome stuff right here. On point! Thank you!
No Problem buddy happy you enjoyed it!
Excellent broader overview. Love it.
very nice! thanks professors for the breakdown
love your videos! Always really informative.
Happy it helps buddy!
Eye opening stuff cant wait to struggle with this
Keep up the content🔥🔥
My first time seeing your content but it’s amazing, thank you!
great overview of rdlr
Really good concepts. Very helpful
Great information there. It will be nice to see some grip fighting sequences(Same as you did in dlr video) from common opponent reactions, for example when opponent grabs your collar(it is really hard to break in my experience), pant grip is super annoying as well. Another reaction is when opponent trying to square you up.
3 different situations
A 2:17 , 3:18
B 3:30 , 5:27
C 4:25 , 5:37
Thanks buddy
Thank you so much. It was super helpful tips and info
3:59 heel off the mat; lift and spin or go to X guard or deep half
4:44 with “level three;” use underhook
4:56 drill your shin in guard
Wow that helps a lot I’m a person who learns concepts thanks!!
This is great! However, with my size (6’2+) and going against someone who smaller the kiss of the dragon spin is a harder option, I can never fit between their legs.
That makes sense. But you might have an easier time off-balancing them from RDLR --> transitioning to other guards or going up for single legs
Yea it’s kinda a small fella trick
I’m short and this move definitely favors the small guys. X guard as well I feel goes best with the shorties
Great stuff! Thank you!
No problem happy you liked it!
This was excellent. Thank you.
Great tutorial
Great stuff! 👍
Thanks buddy
Awesome thank you professor!
Love it! 😍 Thanks so much. Quick qn. I like kiss of the dragon from RDLR but I'm gett ing attacked with toe holds very often. Any advice on how to deal with this? Much appreciated.
Look into RDLR lockdown by Firas Zahabi. He addresses those risks from RDLR, and how to eliminate them.
@@anonymousreviewer169 thanks! Much appreciated
Super cool video, thanks
No problem buddy happy to help!
Great man, thanks!
Good stuff! Keep it up
thanks for the video
Great vid 👌
Like the broad overview
thank you, sir.
Awesome stuff bros
Thanks buddy!
good stuff, thanks
Black (belt) magic at it's best.
Incredible
awesome!!
What's a good counter if your opponent underhooks your outside leg and turns their hips so that their knee is on your hip? If ya know what I mean.
Beautiful! 😍
Aw dis nigga spittin!!!🙌🏾😂😂😂
Gold.
damn u can spider from RDLR I gotta try that
What would happen if the person in the black Gi drop his left knee on your face @ 4:46?
Notes
2:14 “level one” knees down
I can never seem to do the kids of dragon live rolling. Dunno why...
Kids of the dragon lol

I don't often see you talk about RDLR as a defense to when someone is trapping your leg in DLR. Is it not just part of your game?
Espen brings it up at 0:45 in this video
@@43506 Thanks! Was more a question to Jon about his game, since I haven't seen him adress the position at all in his instructionals (which I highly recommend!)
"There's three different levels. All of which you can't do the same move"
*Proceeds to do the same move*
There are microadjustments that you probably haven't learned yet.🤣
It's like half guard
Take da back!
4:42
5:17 정리

What "attacks?"
Too high level for me
Or you could research the history of BJJ and realize you are encouraging something like badminton. A sport, not a martial art. Watch the Gracie fights. The originals. They make certain people understand a martial art is not a martial sport. And BJJ should never be diluted. You've just made BJJ nothing more than the Karate School. You're teaching people how to get the shit beat out of them and it's offensive to Bjj.
