People who run in those circles know who is real and who is fake and could have told her that this guy is a scammer. It also may make sense to hire an investigator to look in to someone - especially if they're giving you some mysterious job like "diamond dealer". If she had hired someone, she could have spent a couple of thousand bucks or if she would have asked several people who were in that world, she could have realized that no one had heard of this man. I worked with a woman who was living off of her parents in her 30s and used premium memberships on dating sites so she can reach "good quality men". Really all she was looking for was rich men to marry because her parents had been complaining about her living off of their money for too long. That's why she got a job in the first place, but she was only working part time for minimum wage and using that money to buy her food and pay a couple small bills like phone and internet. She constantly complained about her younger sister being married before her to a successful rich man and said she wanted to "find the one" on tindr. Literally every man she dated had to have an interesting job title that sounds like it makes more than 200k a year or something. She got shammed by this one guy who claimed to be a startup entrepreneur making technology for a huge app company and he kept going on to her about making prototype this and prototype that. Very shady undetailed made-up stuff it sounded like. That relationship turned into him moving into her apt paid for by her parents, spending most of his time in said apartment alone eating up food and playing video games, pretending to have business phone calls, harassing her about her exes, asking her to get her parents to pay for their marriage, and refusing to get a job when she finally put together he's a broke dude but still decided to keep him as a roommate. After that experience she stopped doing the do on the first dates in attempt to weave in rich men and started properly checking them.

@@justice7788 It was an amazing concept, but had a relatively troubled execution. The controls were janky and rlly precise. Ik 64 had a bit of that issue too, with a lack of pin perfect precision when turning, and there was an issue with camera orientation in both games, but they're both far from bad games. They're fucking masterpieces.

I worked with a woman who was living off of her parents in her 30s and used premium memberships on dating sites so she can reach "good quality men". Really all she was looking for was rich men to marry because her parents had been complaining about her living off of their money for too long. That's why she got a job in the first place, but she was only working part time for minimum wage and using that money to buy her food and pay a couple small bills like phone and internet. She constantly complained about her younger sister being married before her to a successful rich man and said she wanted to "find the one" on tindr. Literally every man she dated had to have an interesting job title that sounds like it makes more than 200k a year or something. She got shammed by this one guy who claimed to be a startup entrepreneur making technology for a huge app company and he kept going on to her about making prototype this and prototype that. Very shady undetailed made-up stuff it sounded like. That relationship turned into him moving into her apt paid for by her parents, spending most of his time in said apartment alone eating up food and playing video games, pretending to have business phone calls, harassing her about her exes, asking her to get her parents to pay for their marriage, and refusing to get a job when she finally put together he's a broke dude but still decided to keep him as a roommate. After that experience she stopped doing the do on the first dates in attempt to weave in rich men and started properly checking them.
