Dr Jason is soo right on this. Philosophy is first in the chain, it is the mind of transformation, but art and aesthetics are second, indispensable, the means of transformation.
It’s really the other way around, philosophers have traditionally always got this wrong. Even Heidegger makes this clear, with being prioritised over thinking; Jung also. The artistic memetic comes first in all its abstractness, then rational philosophy. Philosophy is a foundation or framework for all nature and daily political life, but that foundation is build on the ground of a deep experience with nature (physis) and the deepest connection to nature’s raw spirit come through shamanic mysticism, and interaction with natural lived archetypes and spirits. Integrating them into a philosophical framework and a foundation for political life comes after.
@@johnnygun85 i agree with u but id add that art, and philosophy can live in the same space as being first... not everything needs to be binary.
@@Thomas-sv4ii simply put, passive consciousness or observation comes prior to active thought or analysis.
Which is why children need to learn language and an identity, after lots of experience and observation. And why ego-death occurs for adults trying to reconnect with themselves beyond their thoughts and worldly identity.
*What I like about Jorjani is he brings hope into the picture. Hope for a better, brighter future.*
wow i get goosebumps listening to jorjani. what a brilliant mind. As an Iranian everything he is saying about geopolitics & muslim take over of europe & Iran rising up to to fight and save the west is true and will unfold
Prometheus on Alcatraz would be a nice symbol for breaking free.
Watch: Short animated film: KINGDOM.
The importance of architecture for our collective self-image cannot be understated. Are we a parasite on the planet or a beautifying force?
I hope this project succeeds! And that it will be the first of many
I’m sold honestly
Great discussion. Jorjani is so underrated.
BTR has kinda become the Jason Jorjani Podcast though.
He's been on UA-cam for at least a decade...

I've been pondering a mythical statue to revivify the American dream and this is such a perfect idea set up by the best man for the job. WOO FIRE ME UP
*When is SEPEHR coming on?*
"Metal, probably..." Fuckin classic
Lev with an absolute brilliant question
So good to get the gang together again! [I'm +1 all the way on this, btw]
Funny i woke up listenin to this, today... "Wargasm, wargasm, one, two, three
Smutty bloody pictures, ecstasy
Blue balls waiting impatiently
From Alcatraz to Lady Liberty"
San Fran needs help. Asian Culture there could use it, too.

Combining a trip to Mars and Promethean statue looks like an epic rebirth
thank god for that $10 minimum
Love the talk need more often! Would have loved to heard more about Jason’s thoughts on Robert Sepeher.
That would be very interesting to hear
Oh heck yea! Always the ultimate interlocutors. Been waiting for this.
Hail Prometheus.
YOU'RE SUCH A STUPID SLAVE, YOU WEAKLING!
The Rock was an excellent action movie from the 90's that had a really good plot and themes, not to mention a really good car chase.
Also Nick Cage using Elton John's “Rocket Man” as a one-liner.
I watched that movie so many times as a kid. Can you imagine stabbing yourself in the heart with a giant needle so you don’t spasm to death while your skin melts?
I like how Alcatraz is akin to Elis Island. I hope it’s conserved into a museum showcasing the prison-to-freedom methos.
I thought Stef did well on this one: he turned up.
And kept a straight face for most of the time.
I'm not trying to be sly here, it's a genuine compliment. It could be mistaken as sarcasm.
😂😂 sounds like he‘s some misbehaving auitstic kid „today u did well.“
@@wijny4222 Well to be fair, there aren't many of us who'd come off as the sharpest in the room next to Prof. Jorjani. So no disrespect.
NFTs often bear a bad reputation due to previous iterations and the sometimes 'scammy' undertones associated with them, yet they represent a novel technology. This mirrors the initial skepticism faced by Bitcoin and Ethereum. Just as people were critical of these cryptocurrencies in their early days, we can expect similar reactions to NFTs. From my perspective, there's untapped potential in this emerging form. Professor Jorjani presents an alchemical argument for its significance, and there's also the innovative financial mechanisms it offers. Additionally, there's something appealing and poetic in using these new financial technologies to birth the Titan of Technology itself, as if technology is bringing itself into being through 'autopoesis'.
Once they make money off crypto they’ll understand
Something that just hit me - with the Prometheus statue, if you really want to go wild with it, why not have Prometheus pointing straight up gesturing at outer space? That gives it both warmth and a direction that's not other countries.
Woah. That would be awe inspiring . That sounds like a sci fi scene. Cool idea
Which star should he point at?
Mithra in the east. Promethius in the west. Christ in the middle. That's America in a nutshell.
The statue should be of Artemis not prometheus. We already have prometheus in NY
@@samrosendahl392 why Artemis specifically?
@@drewdevlin3345 it is the one remaining version of the archetype that hasn't been built yet
@@samrosendahl392 interesting. Can you unpack that a little? I'm not familiar.
GET JASON ON WITH YARVIN.
It was a wild moment hearing Stef talk about Iain, while Jason is speaking about his first book because The Master and His Emissary sits right next to Prometheus and Atlas, among other books on the shelf right next to my monitor. I never necessarily connected the two explicitly but this is just fantastic to know I'm reading in the right direction, not only philosophically but how it relates to us neurologically in a broader historical context.
Great project Jason!
Get Jorjani drunk or high for the next one. And Neal sober just to flip the script.
Brilliant discussion as always. So much to ponder.
👏👏👏
Theyre going to build it(hopefully) and no one will know or care what it was intended to mean. The statue of liberty is mithras is a blow off trivia question dismissed immediately cause we insisted our own meaning on it. We'll do the same with this one. I hope this isn't a discouraging statement because i really do want it to be built. I think its a fantastic idea.
57:49 - If I get what Jason is saying, a statue has something like the cultural version of software scalability, and that even becomes literal if the statue becomes an Instagram, X, etc. tourist selfie-trap.
It's one hell of an advertisement.
Great talk. I'm learning a lot. I hope maybe one day Brazil may get powerful philosophers to bring here also some statue and/or other powerful symbols that could give life to the archetype of Prometheus in here. All Latin America actually desperately also needs the power of Prometheus working to get free from the shackles of roman Catholic mental slavery. By the way, I'm computer programmer and have some experience with 3D, games and stuff like that and I would be very happy in helping setting up some kind of game, movie animations, cinematics telling stories of Prometheus, Titans and so forth. I also have some knowledge of bitcoin and crypto.
What a spectacular vision this is. Exciting discussion gentlemen.
I went to college in fisherman’s wharf! This would be so dope lol
Great discussion again .really educational. Also Jason is very inspiring with his ideology of promitiousim .
I enjoy and have learned much from watching Dr. Jorjani regarding philosophy, religion / cultural world history. However I would argue that his takes on US politics could use more data to substantiate claims, namely on the electoral front, made in this ep.
NFTs are such a bad idea.
Agreed
Why?
Big fan of jorjani but i agree
Agreed, NFTs are a terrible idea - total fake/scammer vibes, need a better idea, they're a joke culturally at this point but maybe Jorjani isn't aware
There is an element to NFTs that lend themselves to other things then price speculation.
The future is so close, but so far away!
Whose got the timestamps where they discuss the Nordics?
Cool idea! I remember I had a dream about 15 years ago that I had designed a statue on O'Connell st, Dublin. It was a moving statue composed of water. It was a statue of a woman who was dancing while looking up at the sky (holy f×ck, just now I remember that lady who used to dance on that street back when I was a kid in the 90's! Dancing Mary!!! She was clearly the inspiration for that dream.) The statue was huge and made of water which used electricity to sculpt the body of water into a giant dancing woman. And, in my dream, people were amazed that they didn't get soaked n the presence of this massive, swiftly moving water sculpture. When I woke up I remeber thinking how achievable this idea was. That was 15 years ago. Dublin has changed so much now that I doubt any personality such as Dancing Mary would be welcome there. Mary no longer dances in Dublin. We now have children getting randomly stabbed by foreign men. Such a quick change. Everyone talks about the change which has befallen San Francisco...why have they tried to mirror that same destruction in Dublin? Or have "they"? Is it natural or man-made? Is crack cocaine natural? Can anything be classified as "unnatural"? Who are this "they" and why are they waging a (no longer clandestine but open) war against Irish people?
1:08:52 The statue of Unity is the statue of Sardar Patel and is located in Gujarat India not in China.
How uberboyo and lev kept a straight face when the chat was spamming JRJ Pokemon Go! I will never know!

Hail Prometheus and Hail Lucifer.
Lev - I submitted a $10 super chat that wasn't brought up. I understand it was a bit off topic but I'd appreciate it if it was asked on Dr. Jorjani's next appearance or I get a refund. My question was related to the alleged MH370 videos and if Jorjani thinks that might be the US leveraging Tesla's technology.
If this was towards the very end, I apologize as I had to cut off the Superchats, but I can certainly ask this next time. Just remind me in the chat towards the end.

About the american civil war thing and red states owning a lot of guns; How are militias armed with rifles, guns and pistols going to stand a chance against modern heavy cavalry and ordnance? We've seen how that goes in multiple wars around the world.. Longterm guerilla warfare and many losses. Besides that, how many americans are fit for combat anyways.
Any rational person who wants the best for humankind would be against such a war, since only a small group of devious people can benefit from such a war. Instead people need to be taught in order to work together. That is where philosophy comes in👌
I think they'd point to South Vietnam's success against the technologically superior US.
Ironically no one is talking about classical greek models and a viable path forward when Prometheus is the name of the movement. How many intellectual flowerings came from the greeks? Classical Greece. Then Greece under Rome continuing philosophy, medicine and science. Then Rome falls and in Byzantium they speak Greek and the schools continue on. Even after Byzantium falls those greek thinkers flee to Italy to spark the Renaissance. Maybe there is something special about the Greek languages, concepts and culture. Maybe returning to a Greek modle would fit the future.
The artifacts for The Maze should be stainless steel
jason talks shit about robert sepehr is ironic
Jason calls it Archeofuturism to please the audience. I've been following him for years now, and you won't find any perennial aspects in his worldview. He hates Traditionalism with a passion.
As does anyone who really tastes the air they breathe...
You guys need to talk to Alex Becker about NFTs
Dude. Seriously pronounce his last name correctly, it's a part of respect. Why is it hard for you to pronounce Reza, its his name...
If America didn’t start out as a Christian nation, then what did it start as?
Jason, I'm such a fan, but a Colossus on Alcatraz, Dude...are you smoking crack?!
Very much needed, we live in cultural decay. I also liked the idea of Trump's garden of heroes.
So sad that people don't understand the value of the symbolic.
No, the President's son smokes crack, and the President sniffs kids, but Jason is lucid as hell, literally.
@tomasramirez4985 Beyond that, alcatraz is a cultural heritage site. Being able to begin construction there would be tons of work. Next, it's an island, so transporting materials and having people work on site for its construction would be way less convenient, next the price of the statue, and his museum. You're talking about well over a billion dollars I would guess. And getting San Fran ppl to agree to Jason, who will be slandered as alt right, will be difficult. It's a cultural heritage site as I said. Even if every Jorjani fan could fork over 10,000 he isn't known enough for that to pay for the structure. The idea is cool, but the scale seems impractical
@@thetoads4939 He isn't the only one working on it.
San Francisco has historically not been a part of Silicon Valley and has only been considered part of it for the past 15 years or so. The rebuilding of San Francisco, and the recultivating of what made it special, starts with a diversity of industries. Tech is a geographically stratified industry and does not need to oversaturate San Francisco to thrive. The United States is also miles ahead of China technologically and will remain there. San Francisco and Seattle should not be the sacrificial lambs of American cities in the name of a paranoid fear of western decline.
I need 10 million if theres any billis watching right now
Glitch in the Matrix? Did Jason just say about Trump "by the end end of his second term" ?

I really think that Islam destroyed the great Iranian culture. Hope they find back to their roots again!
Jason is getting seriously goofy. Civil war 😂.
Only takes one side to start a war. It’s already ongoing. The right just doesn’t know it.
That's what people are called before every civil war. Often historians look back at a catalyst of a civil war happening before majority of the people at that time knew they were in one. Hope it never happens, can't prevent one if you don't take the possibility seriously.
To be fair he did say it would happen if Trump loses the election, but yeah I’m still with you. I don’t think things are that bad rn that would cause a civil war even if trump loses.
@@ashtonmilkyway because the right are fat incel nerds who don’t have the will to win even if the fight was brought to them.

No doubt Jason Reza Jorjani is an original thinker with a plethora of contributions to the history of ideas. But on politics in general, and especially Iran - Israel history and political relations, Jason is at best naive and embarrassingly goofy. There are so many baseless assumptions forming the foundations of his Iran - Israel historico-politico understanding, that his fantastical analysis and claims on the matter are patently false.
I wouldn't be able to discern myself if that's true, as I'm a mostly Irish American. But I hear lots of Iranian expats here say he is right about the future of Iran.
