I applied for a PGCE course and I had to make a video explaining to 16 year olds, "What is sociology?" It would have been better if I'd used a BBC-circa-1948 voice, but I didn't have the guts.
This is probably the best explanation of what this subject is about that I have ever seen. As a teacher, I intend making full use of this clip with your permission. Well done in making this video. I hope you acheived a decent grade for it in your PGCE course. TG

Ok, I understand what questions can be answered through sociological study, but if we answered these questions then what will happen? what kind of advantages will a sociology student have? in term of money, job market etc. For example, engineering students have skills to produce something useful, a machine, or any other thing which are present today and these things have economic value as well. But what are the sociological productions which have economic value, and which are useful to society?

Hi mate, i wouldn't talk you out of getting educated but if you do , do it at least you will be aware of this before you start, when i did it, i didnt really understand about this sort of thing until near the end of the course, so you have a head start on me. If it worries you so much, make sure you balance it out with other subjects you enjoy more, so its not just all sociology.
