World Leading Steel Producers Eager for Iron Boomerang to Begin

- In July 2022, I was successful in having the Senate conduct an inquiry into the 'Iron Boomerang' project. This project aims to build steel mills in Abbott Point Townsville and Port Headland, connecting iron ore from the west with coal from Queensland to manufacture Australian steel of superior quality at a more competitive price compared to other steel producers.
World leading steel producers are eager to construct these mills at their own expense, recognising the undeniable financial and quality advantages of the project. Yet, governments have stood in the way of approvals since the project was first raised in the 1980s.
Now for the first time, all relevant governments needed to approve the project are from the same party, removing the political obstacles that have hindered progress so far.
One Nation has been advocating for this project since 2016 and Minister Ayr's responses to my inquiries today were encouraging. I appreciate the Minister's comprehensive understanding of the project and wholeheartedly agree with the numerous benefits it offers.
I look forward to this project receiving approval.

Thank you Senator Roberts for your tireless advocacy and promotion of Australia.
Full support for senator Roberts and his team. Job welldone
Thank you Malcolm Roberts.
The Iron Boomerang = Thinking Big.
We need an independent Royal Commission into every Government Department to find out exactly what these useless grubs get paid for.

To quote Judge Judy: Uh is not an answer!!!
Thank you, Senator.
Anser the fucking question
About god damn time……..Thank you Senator Roberts….
We may need reliable power ,coal an gas to produce this .
Forget the solar and wind
Uh uh uh uh uh uh this project should definitely go uh uh uh ahead uh uh uh because it’s very uh uh valuable uh uh
An we pay for drips like this drongo
Such enthusiasm! I almost nodded off. Umm. Errr. A true believer in the project. You think?
When they lie, they have to think...in not lying, the answer should roll smoothly off the tongue.
It's a true indication that they are fabricating the response reply.
How much is that bloke being paid by the taxpayers. Whatever it is, we're being overcharged by a hell of a long way.
$235,000 base plus fringe benefits, plus super.
The best iron ore in the world and the best coke coal in the world. You would think we should be the best and
largest suppliers of steel to the world,,,,,,,,,,,,,but no
Malcolm Roberts, we all feel very sorry for the lies and rubbish you have to put up with. Labor👎👎👎
And libs, greens and nats
our partners dont give a shit about "a cleaner way"
Ah, ah ah, ah, this blokes favourite word, just like Albanese.
Good on you Malcom.
Thank you Senator Roberts for interviewing the most inarticulate Bull Sh*t Artist heard in recent times. A simple ‘Yes / No’ question receives the highest - ums - aars - mutter - mumble - cheese sandwich - Korea - solar/wind ??? (How that fits into mining/engineering/Australian economy beggars belief) (Oh sorry - word salad)
I’m quite confident if I asked that “gentleman” the time of day, he couldn’t/wouldn’t answer. 🙏.
SO we have NO MADE IN Australia UNLESS it is 100% supplied by wind & solar. I never signed onto that, who did?
Err um and erm um er and uum solar er um and wind um in um errr.
Yep, just what we would expect.
Imagine saying `ERHM` 20+ times in just one non-answer. ERM.
Great idea
Yesssss! Bring it on!
While your disgruntled Australia. Our customers are finding friends in other countries to buy resources 😮
They are doing this on purpose
So sick of this bullshit
I'm sick of this environmentalism ceap we are al bing sent to the poor house by it its achiving nothing of significance why.dose this seam to all they think about how is it better to ship coal and iron Ore to China we used to make most of our steel hear its a joke
Umm ahhh um ahhh um ahhhh ummmm ahhh umm.
I can see why nothing good happens in Australia. I could have answered the question in 2 words, "Good idea."
Being a quarry there's no reason we can't be a refiner and producer as well, I guess his corporate interests stay safe with a non committal answer like that.
His word salad really just reinforced corporate slogans of how great of a quarry Australia is.
This blokes out of his league com pared to Malcolm.
Just like the rest of Labor.
It will never happen…
Albo will not allow Australia to produce steel here and undercut the Chinese…
Australia should produce and manufacture our own iron ore and sell with no buying our product back for triple the price all of our minerals and gas should be nationalise to Australians and we can have a small tax on nuclear energy once up and running with no energy bills on Australians
Australia seems to be blessed with stalling splutter box overpaid donkeys that deplete oxygen. This Needs to be done to secure the future, so the country can build it's own power supply instead of importing everything, that is if the union blockers allow it.
This ding along has solar & wind on the rain. This is what is tax payer pay for!!!!!
“Considering a response”? Haha that’s one way to say “I’m not going to say anything”.
Not part of the WEF agenda Labor ministers and bureaucrats are very well trained how not to answer a question
When listening to the plodding public servants or ALP hacks, its bulls-it bingo every time.
That wantbto give the Chinese it would be my bet. If so, no,no,no
This segment could have been delivered in about a minute if he dispensed with the Ah's and Um's! If, as the minister finally stated at the end that they will be pursuing the reduction of global emissions by producing steel in quantity here, this will be especially good for this country....but we will see if it eventuates because they are hell bent on not adding anymore to our own emissions, being happy to leave it to another country/s to deal with it and only supply the raw materials!
Is this uh by uh uh uh by uh guy OK sounds like he needs to sue over jab induced injuries poor fella just couldn't get an answer out. Ill help you.....yes I agree let's go for!
Smart arss
An SMR could drive a nuclear-powered big train like that. Same as ships. 🤠
Good man
Consider Onesteel (Arrium) who was Australia's biggest iron ore and steel manufacturer, that went into voluntarily administration in 2016 with debts of $2 billion. It's now British owned. How are you going to ensure this project remains in the hands of Australia long term?
The Stockmarket is manipulating prices of commodities. BHP used to be Australian until the metals exchange forced the price of steel so low , our major steel producer nearly went bust until the British stepped in and bought them up at rock bottom price. What used to be Broken Hill PTY. LTD, IS now BHP Billiton. Don’t forget, Golf Whitlam wanted io nationalise our mineral wealth for the benefit of all Australians, but then was removed from office by the Crown. No wonder considering the Queen at the time was majority shareholder of Rio-Tinto , and with the Americans heavy investments in our minerals and energy, there was no way they were going to allow that to happen. We really need to assert our sovereignty.
In this case the captial cost is independent of the government. So what's stopping the green light?
What the hell does solar and wind have to do with steel production?
Sir Charles Court and Joh Bejelke Petersen proposed this back in the 80's. Only change is that a few years ago quality coal was discovered in the WA Pilbara so QLD coal is not necessary to make it work, but still preferable.
U referring to coming coal??
@@zulugordon8680 Please, more detail.
Um, Ah, um, ahh, umm, Ahh, umm, ahh
Referring 😊
Most of them on $10.000 a week. Some others on 20.000 a week.
👍
The Lima Declaration still exists ??
Yep resigned every now and then under a new term .
Yes
And both sides have ratified this agreement.Whitlam signed first the Frazer ratified it by signing this agreement. So both Labour and LNP have sold this country out since the early sevinties
Aboneses should have spoken about the agression by those either get out of our faces or loose minerals.talk about marshmellow balls.😊
Err..arrr…umm. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
These state agents aren’t paid to care rather blunder..
Ar,er,ar,ar, no answer
Would you prefer to go hungry when we become a third world country. What do you suggest will replace this to bring in funds for everything you have access to
ahh .... he probably wants to produce "green" steel ...... forget it being high quality then.
Everything removed from our earth has become diseased.
Every element given away.
Has cost us the people. Australians
Not 'just Aboriginals' 😂
2024 Aussies.
We Aussies own the land.
@giveaway.
Ummm, ahhh, umm, ahhhh,.....I'm fabricating the answer as I speak !!
1 Nation voting with LNP for the WEALTHY People polluting more - as for AdaniPalmerGina - another Newcastle another Wollongong and we see the HEALTH implications of tales of those 2 Cities..!!
So we will ship it over seas to China who have no regulations at all and then buy the finnoshed product and ship it all the whay back hows that better for the environment and we need steel u can't stopp all of its production whe world wald fall apart rapidly
ah, ah um ah……..what a load of waffle…….minister didnt answer anything that wasnt in the public domain for over a decade…
It's more about being an effective and self-sufficient country with fair consideration to the environment. But drop the climate change agenda being the highest priority at this point in time its about worrying about a wort on benign tumor on a dog's arse whilst letting the dog starve to death
"World Leading Steel Producers Eager for Iron Boomerang to Begin". Lets swap some words: "World Leading Solar Producers Eager for New England Solar to Begin". Could Malcolm explain why the first is a good headline and the second is part of a global conspiracy?
..and.....fuck all......will be done. Amen. Just also think of the dollars being spent, during this conversation, which you and him....have in the pub weekly. Beggars belief.😮😮😮😢
