Hi Dallas, I never get tired watching replays of Iditarod and hearing your thoughts. I don't do much on FB, but when I get lucky with connection with you or other friends it makes my day. Thanks so very much for tour letter and thoughtful gift of the bootie. All is added to my "Seavey" treasures. My back surgery was a success, but most painful of any previous surgery. Still some pain, but thankfully off the narcotic pain pills. Being an Iditarider is still top on my bucket list. Just wish there would be a substantial increase in my social security or become a lottery winner. of course one has to play to win. Looking forward to another Dallas win in 2017. Computer is giving me some problems, but come race time I will be glued to it. You are amazing. Good luck and God Bless you and your family. Just make it a Seavey win, preferably a Dallas win. Your faithful fan in Iowa, Shirley

I lived in Kansas at the time, 3 hours ahead of nome, and I had gone to bed, thinking I would miss the finish, woke up, checked the website, and it showed Dallas in first (out of safety), and I wondered what had happened, so I watched the finish live, after all.

Well why did he leave them at all? Three dudes on snow machines came and got him. He was fine he had zero injuries. The dogs were fine and had zero injuries. He left them cuz he was scared. Scared as in being a coward. Let me say that again 3 .....3 ....3 people recovered him! That piece just ditched his dogs! It makes zero difference if they were going to be okay or not. You don't abandon your team! No respect! But hey I get it if they had been injured and there was almost no chance of King's survival if he had not left the team I would understand a little. BUT that's not what happened at all! He had a rough go at it and he flaked out on his team. I guess I have a different values system. Ride or die...

Not to mention what is the concept of team if you don't stick with your TEAM!

you know wolves live in the wild right? A few hours alone in an emergency won't kill them

Hate how these people keep their dogs chained to garbage cans (with some hay in) ... No wonder these dogs wanna run like hell later

WTH are you talking about? Love how your opinion is completely lacking in any knowledge or experience. Have you ever trained Any dog? Doubt it.
